At your age, frozen shoulder is a common thing. You could be suffering from it. Take X Ray of the shoulder to rule out any other lesion. For frozen shoulder best treatment is rotation exercises of the joint and yogasans. You can try that now also.

I'm suffering from back pain. I've also some belly fat in my stomach. So my question is how I can reduce my belly fat? Or how I can reduce my back pain also?

I'm suffering from back pain. I've also some belly fat in my stomach. So my question is how I can reduce my belly fat...
Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned do a blood differential count and ultrasound to know the exact cause of back pain and if test report is normal then you can take OTC painkillers ibuprofen with PPI like Pantoprazole. Regarding belly fat do like this because your BMI is normal take one large tomato every day which has just 33 calories. It contains a compound known as 9-oxo-ODA that helps reduce lipids in the blood, which in turn helps control belly fat. This compound also fights chronic diseases associated with obesity. Do follow lifestyle modifications like this - 1) Do exercise. Regular low-impact aerobic activities those that don't strain or jolt your back can increase strength and endurance in your back and allow your muscles to function better. Walking and swimming are good choices. Talk to your doctor about which activities are best for you. 2) Build muscle strength and flexibility. Abdominal and back muscle exercises (core-strengthening exercises) help condition these muscles so that they work together like a natural corset for your back. Flexibility in your hips and upper legs aligns your pelvic bones to improve how your back feels. Your doctor or physical therapist can let you know which exercises are right for you. 3) Maintain a healthy weight. 4) Stand smart. Maintain a neutral pelvic position. If you must stand for long periods of time, alternate placing your feet on a low footstool to take some of the load off your lower back. Good posture can reduce the amount of stress placed on back muscles. 5) Sit smart. Choose a seat with good lower back support, arm rests and a swivel base. Consider placing a pillow or rolled towel in the small of your back to maintain its normal curve. Keep your knees and hips level. Change your position frequently, ideally at least once every half hour. 6) Lift smart. Let your legs do the work. Move straight up and down. Keep your back straight and bend only at the knees. Hold the load close to your body. Avoid lifting and twisting simultaneously. Find a lifting partner if the object is heavy or awkward. Learning to lift properly may be more effective at preventing a recurrence of back pain than a first episode. Hope that helps.

Hello, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Please tell me duration of pain and what are aggravating factors? how much distance can you walk and what is the analgesic requirement to carry out activities of daily routine? what medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. I also need to see your latest knee x rays so that I know what grade of arthritis are we dealing with on your case? general outline of treatment is: - making yourself physically active by doing exercises, daily morning walks for atleast 2-3 km per day - you can take short course of anti-inflammatory medication but avoid prolonged intake of analgesic - use of western toilets, avoid cross legged sitting - if medicines are not useful, then you can consider intra-articular injections - if nothing helps, then surgery is an option. But in your case once you have shared your clinical details and x rays, I will be able to understand your problems and advise you in a better manner. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
