My wife is 7 months pregnant and from yesterday her eye sight became very dull. What should we do?

BHMS

Pregnancy has nothing to do with her eye sight, if she has sight then better consult an ophthalmologist and get suitable glasses for that.

I do not get periods since two months. Still now I have not faced such a problem. I do not no why do I have this problem suddenly. Even I consumed papaya to get periods. But no good results. What might be my problem. What should I do.

PG Hom, London, BHMS
Homeopath, Mumbai
Hello Mridula, Sometimes when there is some stress or anxiety, the periods tend to get delayed. You don't need to worry. In absence of pregnancy, the periods will come even if you not take any medicines for it. If you are getting very anxious, you can take Homeopathic Pulsatilla 200, 4 pills three times a day till you get periods. Perform some abdomen exercises like crunches and paschimottanasana.

Continue period me sex karne se pregnancy possible hain? Continue period me sex krna medical science me sahi hain ya nhi?

MBBS, MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Gurgaon
Doing sex during periods is unhygienic, unhealthy and not comfortable for the female, more than the male, yes pregnancy cannot happen if you do sex during periods, but it is advised not to do so as uterus is very week at this stage and can be damaged if an aggressive sex is performed.

For family planning, what option can be considered as most effective and convenient and for whom - husband or wife ?

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
If family is complete , husband can have a blood less no stitch vasectomy done and go back to work on same day. in a woman , key hole surgery for family planning though looks like one stitch surgery only but is as traumatic as appendix surgery.she needs at least rest for 15 days. IUCD if fitted in hygeinic conditions suits a lot of women but it is scary for most women ,courtesy vans and untrained personels fitting women with it in rural areas oral pills are for short time only-3-6 months low dose like ovral ( mala d has 3 times the dose !)

I am 22 and had sex for the first time a week back. After the second or third time I initially felt like my bladder was full and wanted to urinate all the time but that went away in a day. Just to be sure I took Neil-72 the next morning even though we had used condom. I had sex again 3-4 hours later after taking the pill but this time the condom broke. So I took Neil-72 immediately and once again within three hours just in case because I was really scared about pregnancy. It's been three days now and I haven't had any side effect from the pill except that my vagina itches. I very rarely feel pain while passing urine though there has been a strong medicinal smell from it. And it has been a little cloudy too. However, I could urinate after sex. I had the problem of vaginal itch in the past when I was young but haven't had it in years until now. My partner had sex only twice with one girl but that 4 years back. Last period- 16th Dec- 21st Dec Sex- 24th Dec- 1st Jan (5 times in total) Next period due- 16th Jan. Could this vaginal itch and the medicinal odour of urine be the side effects of the pills (and the overdose)? Or is this UTI or something else? Should I get a check up? Thank you

BHMS, MD - Alternate Medicine
Homeopath, Nagpur

Things You Must Keep in Mind Before Opting IVF or Surrogacy

Certified IVF Specialist, MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Ghaziabad
Things You Must Keep in Mind Before Opting IVF or Surrogacy

IVF (in vitro fertilisation) and surrogacy are alternative methods of having a baby and can be resorted to when a couple cannot conceive the natural way. There are three things you must keep in mind before making a choice between IVF or surrogacy:

Surrogacy is opted for when the woman is unable to conceive by natural means and when there's no possibility of her getting pregnant whatsoever. Surrogacy can be of two types- full surrogacy and partial surrogacy. On the other hand, IVF works towards the treatment of infertility in one or both the partners, enabling the woman partner to conceive the child. IVF involves the fertilisation of a woman's eggs by the sperm of the intended father in a laboratory dish. The developed embryo (or fertilised egg) is then implanted in the woman's uterus.

Risks of surrogacy include multiple births, ectopic pregnancy (implantation of the fertilised egg in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus, leading to miscarriage) and birth defects in the child, to name a few. As for risks associated with IVF, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (swollen and painful ovaries), multiple births, ectopic pregnancy and stress can take place if IVF is opted for.
Surrogacy requires the fulfilment of complex legal processes, such as determining eligibility, matching profiles of surrogates with intended parents, finding of a potential surrogate and more, which require proper legal counselling. Besides the cost of surrogacy in India is higher than IVF.

IVF does not involve any such processes and is easier to carry out. The low cost of IVF in comparison to surrogacy makes it a much more viable option. Based on these factors, you can make the choice of a procedure that is best suited for you.

Dear sir actually I had sex with my husband on very last day of mp than again period was start for 1 days only but now my mc is not coming accordingly Please help me I am not want child r8 now. What to do.

MBBS, PG Diploma in HIV Medicine
General Physician,
It's the 10th to 18th day from the first day of menstruation is usually considered as unsafe period in a regular cycle and there is more chance to get pregnancy. As per the information provided by you, on last day of the menstrual period ovum is not available for fertilization so you don't need to worry about pregnancy. And the reason for irregular period is multifactorial, maybe due to stress, anxiety of pregnancy, anemia and some medication like I pill or unwanted 72 etc. So if you are positive that the unprotected sexual intercourse has taken place in unsafe period, you need to do pregnancy test. Stay relaxed and take food rich in iron. Consult physician if the problem still persists. Contact if need further assistance.
