Hello lybrate-useryou are taking very high dose of eltroxin as I can see your TSH is already in the normal range. Reduce your eltroxin dose to 75 mcg. Every day on empty stomach. Get a thyroid profile repeated after one month.

Hi sir I use to chew gutka for a long time what are the precautions should I take?

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
If it is Hans and gutkha products, they are both very dangerous. I am so glad that your intention is to quit these habits. There are no guarantees about stopping one’s addiction. But that does not mean we should not keep at it, over and over again until we succeed. Both are tobacco products and will therefore have addictive components to them. It may feel like you can’t stop but that it really not true. If you do not try, then it will never happen. You must try and try again until you succeed. The problem with addiction is that you have two products which are both conditioned to various events in your daily life and as such it will make it difficult but not impossible. You could work with an addiction counselor to help you process the rehabilitation. It is important to first find out about the ill-effects of tobacco use to have a reason that alarms you about continuing in the habit. The information is really scary and true. The nicotine in tobacco stimulates the heart beat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. So you must avoid it like the plague: it is just very bad medicine for you. In fact it is highly toxic too. You will need to stop consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. Nicotine also reduces the erectile capacity of your penis to hamper satisfying sex. You should start vigorous exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. You need to replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. You may also take hard candy or chewing gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine chewing gum or nicotine patches, for a little while until the tobacco drive reduces, substantially. Both will help but I am inclined to favor the gum because it is an oral habit and it will occupy the mouth just as though you were still chewing tobacco. When you want it will be easier to give up the gum. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-users for some time i.e. at least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit consuming Hans. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest.

You are not able to do sex due to pain to your wife. I advise you to do more foreplay of 15 to 20 minutes before going for sex. During foreplay, touch her body, boobs, lips, vagina and clitoris. Clitoris is the most sensitive part of female genatilia. By doing this, she will get excited and her vagina will open. During insertion of penis in vagina, her legs should not be on bed that is her feet and legs should be in air, this will prevent her to contract pelvis during insertion of penis. For better guidance and proper treatment, consult me.

Peptic Ulcer - 6 Reasons Behind it

MBBS, M.S (Gen Surg), M.Ch ( Surgical Gastro)

Peptic Ulcer - 6 Reasons Behind it

There may be times when we get completely drained and fatigued and may feel like our insides could jump out because of the pain that we have in our stomachs. We may dismiss the issue as unimportant or due to a stressful day at work, and may think the stomach pain could be because of the extra spicy food we love to have every once in a while. However, a lot of people may tend to ignore this symptom and that is when stomach ache may turn out to be actually because of a peptic ulcer.

Peptic ulcer or stomach ulcer is a common occurrence and happens to a lot of people; however, it must be understood that not treating the problem in time may be troublesome in the long run and increase the recovery time. In order to be able to identify the peptic ulcers and to take the right treatment measures, it may be important for you to understand the problem and know how it is caused, and how it may be treated.

What causes peptic ulcers?
A peptic ulcer is diagnosed as inflammatory sores on the lining of the stomach or the food pipe, which transfers food to the stomach or even in the intestine. There are a number of factors that can cause inflammatory sores in the stomach region. The factors are as follows:

  1. The use of medicines that are meant to be painkillers or anti-inflammatory drugs. The acid levels of the stomach and the food pipe may get disturbed because of these medicines and may give rise to ulcers.
  2. In a lot of cases, the ulcers may also take place because of the presence of a tumour or a gastrinoma in the stomach that imbalance the levels of acid in the stomach.
  3. High alcohol consumption may also lead to the formation of sores on the stomach lining.
  4. Using tobacco or smoking are some other factors that contribute to the acid imbalance in the stomach.
  5. In the case of some serious illnesses, a lot of people may fall prey to peptic ulcers.
  6. Those who may have undergone radiation treatment around the stomach may also experience ulcers.

Though it may be known that excessive pain in the abdominal region may be due to stomach ulcers, it is important to understand that it happens due to bacterial infections, and when there is a bacterial infection in the body, you may have to undergo proper treatment. The treatment for this problem includes the use of medications as suggested by a qualified doctor, surgery in some severe cases, and most importantly lifestyle changes.

I have a small pricking pain in my left armpit connected to my breast tissue but both my breast is soft if I press then I feel pain my breast is sagging what good bra I should wear please give me perfect answer by experts.

MCh - Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Bangalore
Hello mam. The small pricking pain can be anything from a small folliculitis to an infected sebaceous cyst etc. Its always better to get it examined before coming to any decision. The sagging of the breast however is a concern which many women at >35 years of age experience due to the hormonal effects from the child birth and breastfeeding. A regular normal fitting bra (neither too loose, nor tight) from the exact body measurements and the use of sports bra during any exercises or jogging should help in preventing further sagging of the breasts. The breast lift procedure can help you in getting a well shaped lifted breasts, which will look good in any kind of dress. You can contact me for any more details.
