My friend in having vaginal bleeding from last 10 days and she have taken emergency contraceptive pill before 20 Day's What should she do?

MBBS, DNB - Obstetrics and Gynecology, DGO
Gynaecologist, Delhi
It's ok to have periods after emergency contraception. Actually it is a good sign that she is not pregnant. Please go to a gynecologist and discuss contraception. Taking I pill regularly will disrupt periods and she might conceive also.

Hi lybrate-user. For a healthy woman 28_30 days are considered as a regular cycle. As per your reports yours is a regular cycle. You can consider 12 _14 days from the day of menstruation is considered as the fertile period since these days are ovulation period. So conception chance is more. Take healthy & rich fibre diet. Take urud dhal along with gingelly oil early morning empty stomach. Advice your husband to take milk, walnuts daily. Begetting a child must be a choice not a chance.

You need to get post coital test done to ensure whether sperms are going inside live or not. If that is wrong then you might require assisted techniques like IUI for conceiving.

My wife is having uti. It occurs very frequently. After comletin the antibiotic course it seems am fit but again reoccurs. Can you tell me whether excessive use of condoms is the cause or what else. Give me remedy and say me whether it will create prob for pregnency.

Condoms have nothing to do with it, rather condom prevents uti. We have to assess her and find out the cause of uti if you want permanent cure. Yes, uti can affect the baby in pregnancy

I had done sex on 11 th of august 2017 and had taken I pill after sex .and after taking that pill after half an hour I got periods and then I had done sex on 22nd of august and I had taken I pill because of leakage of condom. And usually after taking pill I get periods in 5 to 6 days. So I want to ask that. Will I get early periods. Or are there any chances of getting pregnant. Or I will get periods on time. Because till now I did not get periods. And 5 to 6 days have already passed after taking that pill.

Hi lybrate-user, Please do a pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant. I pill is an emergency contraceptive pill and must be used only once in a month. I would strongly advice you to use another regular contraceptive in addition to the condom ,if you are sexually active .

Tharani depends whether you are having your periods still. If you have got menopause then let the fibroid be. If you are still having periods and they are heavy and uncomfortable then go for surgery. Also if fibroid is small, you can let it be.
