Mr. lybrate-user To increase glow and for dark skin you can go for microdermabrasion, laser or peels. But you need to consult a dermatologist before and then go ahead with the treatment accordingly.

Hi Gokul. The pain is due to high hormone levels in her body now because of the emergency contraceptive pill. Do not worry. She should get her periods soon. The pain and increased urination could also be due to urinary tract infection. Ask her have plenty of water, 2-3 litres a day. Also get a urine culture and sensitivity done to start antibiotic treatment. All the best

Hi. I got fungal infection below my breasts just above my tummy. I had the same problem last summer, now again its repeated. I use cotton bras, Ketoconazole 2.0 Soap (Keto Bar soap). It irritates my skin at that part. Kindly suggest what I need to do?

Dear, It is common to have a fungal infection in the summer season. It is due to the moisture, skin fold, and heat which triggers this. More than just irritation on the skin, you will have itching sensation, red marks (mostly rounded) and also skin scaling around the infected site. To treat this, only a Ketoconazole soap wouldn't be effective. You need to initiate antifungals and some other medications too. With the right medications, you should be well by the end of 7 days. Hope this helps!

Banana as superfood.

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition, DNHE, P.G. Diploma in Panchkarma, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Banana as superfood.
You could call the fruit kela (banana) nature’s convenience food. They are widely available, inexpensive, and found in their own natural packaging. You don’t need to wash them, and you can eat them on the go and at any time of day. From a baby’s first weaning food to a snack that seniors with chewing difficulties can easily manage, banana can be enjoyed throughout your life.

Banana vary in size. According to the US Department of Agriculture, one medium banana will give you just over 100 kcal and 3 grams of fibre (around 10 per cent of your daily fibre needs). They’re rich in potassium (13 per cent of your daily needs), which helps to maintain healthy blood pressure. Banana also provide vitamin C and are naturally free from fat, cholesterol and sodium.

Three things to do with Banana:
•Bake them: Simply slit open the skin with a knife and pierce the banana with sliced almonds. Bake until soft and the colour has brightened a little. Serve with low fat yogurt. Katcha kela, or plantain, is used like root vegetables in savoury dishes. You can bake them too – they take longer to bake, but can be enjoyed with a sprinkle of chili powder and lemon juice.
•Freeze them: Freeze slices of banana and use them as fruity ice cubes, a snack to replace sweets, or whizzed up in a blender with milk and strawberries for a refreshing smoothie.
•Spice them: Heat mustard seeds and cumin seeds in a pan with a little oil; add thick slices of banana and sauté with haldi and chili (add a little water to prevent it from sticking). Top this with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with chapatti. A tasty sweet and spicy dish!

Check your eye sight for refractive error and we also have to rule out sinusitis or migrane as the cause of headache after clinical examination.

What is difference between composite and GIC cements in dentistry Which cement suits better for restoration of back tooth region.

Which cement suits better for restoration of back t...
Sir, Both composite and GIC are good material for filling your back teeth and are commonly used. The choice depends on what type of cavity you have in your tooth. If it is a small cavity then GIC can be used. If the cavity is a bit more deeper than you may need to use a stronger material like resin- modified GIC or a composite. Composite is usually used for front teeth where the color is important , as it is available in different shades.
