This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR Chappels which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. Back pain. Go for surgery if you have radicular symptoms or weakness in lower limbs. 8 mm diameter at L4/5 indicated canal stenosis, so be informed about possible neurological complications that can happen in future. You can undergo a conservative trail for 4-6 weeks and then opt for surgery once the conservative trial fails.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. I think it is degenerative issues in your lower back region and other joints like shoulder and hands which may be a cause of pain in your case. So for that, intensive physical therapy, gentle anti inflammatory medications and adequate calcium and vitamin d intake is important. There are many causes of swelling in the legs. Most common reason is postural and many patients develop it when they stand for a long time, but as soon as they elevate their leg up, the swelling subsides. It can happen after any injury which is a priority to diagnose and treat accordingly. Also there could be infection or inflammation which can lead to swelling. Sometimes heavy physical activity may also lead to swelling in your calf muscles. But we have to look at medical causes as well, chronic cardiac conditions can lead to swelling, any pathology which leads to low proteins in the body like deranged lft, kft etc can also lead to swelling. Hypothyroidism can also lead to generalized swelling like appearance in the body. So for accurate diagnosis we need to clinically evaluate and get appropriate tests: cbc, esr, crp, lft, kft, serum electrolytes and thyroid profile. Please get back to me should you need more information or with test results. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Any athlete who places stress on the spine is vulnerable to a back strain. Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: rest your back for 24-48 hours, but do not stay completely immobile; limited, mild movement is better than bed rest. Apply ice packs for 15-20 minutes, 3-4 times a day for the first 48-72 hours. Apply moist heat after the first 48-72 hours if it makes you more comfortable. Aspirin, ibuprofen may relieve pain and reduce inflammation. If you sleep on your side, place a pillow between your knees. If you sleep on your back, place a pillow under your knees. Avoid sitting in one position for long periods of time. Get up and stretch every 20-25 minutes. Execute each movement required in your sport, gradually increasing the speed of movement, before returning to normal training and competition. Use a lower back support to keep the pressure distributed evenly on the muscles of the lower back. When lifting heavy objects, keep your back as straight as possible and use your legs. Do not bend at the waist. Avoid slouching when sitting. See a doctor immediately if the pain is intense, spreads down one or both legs, causes weakness or numbness, or follows a fall or a blow to your back.
