Do not use your teeth for doing something other than chewing food. Using them for cracking nuts, removing bottle tops or ripping open packaging can result in chipped or broken teeth.

Hello, I have dark spots on my teeth which looks ugly. How do I clean my teeth with home remedies. Please advice me.
Hello lybrate-user! If the dark spots that you have are stains and not caries on your teeth then Scaling and polishing done by your dentist will help you resolve the problem of staining/dark spots. Since you have asked about home remedies, why do not you try brushing your teeth with paste made up of baking soda and lemon, twice a week. For more detailed and step by step guidance you can contact me.

Avoid Tobacco for better Heatlth

Advanced Aesthetics, MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BDS
Dentist,
Avoid Tobacco for better Heatlth

Avoid Tobacco, this will be a big favor to your teeth. One, it will save you from oral cancer and periodontal complications. Two, it will save you from the countless ill effects caused by the agents used to mask the smell of tobacco. For example, if you smoke a cigarette, you may use candies, tea or coffee to mask the smoky breath and odor. This doubles the amount of damage caused.

I have teeth which has stains in it. Wat is the best way to make it clean and white.
Professional cleaning n polishing of teeth by dentist removes all external stains. If the stains r due to internal factors (such as fluorosis, enamel defects etc), teeth whitening will be required

I have got severe tooth pain probably due to bacterial infection. Please prescribe the medicine.

I have got severe tooth pain probably due to bacterial infection. Please prescribe the medicine.
The type of treatment you have for toothache will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.

I have my yellow, how can I get white teeth?

BDS (GOLD MEDALIST)
Dentist,
I have my yellow, how can I get white teeth?
Stains on teeth can be due to tobacco, gutka, alcohol and pan like products. Avoid taking these things as they cause some serious problems like cancer. Bleaching will help you in this regard. You can also try this at home. Mix lemon juice and soda bi carb. Rub on the teeth surface gently. Do this once a week.

I am 21 years old, suffering from bad breath from 2 years please tell me what should I do?
Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently.

Hi. I got infection in my tooth. Its been 3 years I was feeling sensitivity and it was getting increase with time. No...
Hello, lybrate-user. First thing I would like to tell you and others is that dental problems are not cured by medicines. You will always need to undergo dental treatments when the cause is decay, fracture or plaque/calculus. Your history suggests infection, but without pics or doing inspection, its hard to know the cause. Still, if the tooth has decay n its not mobile then go for the root canal treatment as it would save your tooth and restore the functionality. Secondly, when tooth has pus at the end of the root due to infection, its better to avoid any type of heat to the local area either in form of hot massage, hot water gargles, or even smoking. Heat may spread the infection to other spaces leading to swelling. Smoking leads to interdental bone loss and your teeth become mobile. Most importantly, it may cause cancer. I hope this information would help you.
