Hi doctor. Actually i am suffering with fever from 2 weeks. And also suffering from cold and cough. Sometimes my legs also heavily paining. So can you please give me a suggestion belongs to this health issue. And also please suggest me better medicine for that fever, cold body pains. Now a days are of viral infection be careful. Cold,Sneezing, sore throat, a stuffy nose, coughing -fever,bodyache,headache,occured in viral infection. What can you do for your cold or cough symptoms? besides drinking plenty of fluids and getting plenty of rest, you may want to take medicines. There are lots of different cold and cough medicines, and they do different things. Nasal decongestants - unclog a stuffy nose...i.e ................ nasal dop/spray.....nasivion Cough suppressants - quiet a cough...................................... syp. Brozedax Expectorants - loosen mucus so you can cough it up.............syp...zeet expectorant Antihistamines - stop runny noses and sneezing.....................tab/syp....levocetirizine Pain relievers - ease fever, headaches, and minor aches and pains.......tab..flucold plus . Here are some other things to keep in mind about cold and cough medicines. Read labels, because many cold and cough medicines contain the same active ingredients. Taking too much of certain pain relievers can lead to serious injury. Do not give cough medicines to children under four, and don't give aspirin to children. Not helpful uses of antibiotics medicines. tests for leg pain i.e. s.calcium, vit.D,vit.B12,uric acid.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight (even while sitting or standing), avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Always select a chair with proper back support and hand-rest. (Excessive sitting or standing is to be avoided as well don’t carry much weight on shoulders). Apart from these, stress could be the major cause of pains! Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement. Best wishes.

Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari syrup and capsule twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

I have a knee problem. I can't walk more than 5 mins. So can you tell me what should I do?
Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

My wife is suffering pain in her right elbow since last 2 months. The local Doctor says- it is Tennis Elbow. Advised wear a belt in his right arm and not to do any heavy work from right hand, no medicine is prescribed. Still no recovery, please advice.

Yes this is planter fascitis and if it is leave untreated it converts into calcanial spur. Calcanial spur is the next stage of planter fascitis where fascia becomes calcified and looks like extra bone growth below heel bone in x ray film, it is more painful and difficult to treat. Medial planter nerve passes near the fascia and it may also get affected, night sharp, shooting, burning pain in the planter aspect of foot indicates nerve involvement. Following treatment is given to treat planter fascitis. 1. Stretching of calf muscle and planter fascia 2. Contrast bath for foot 3. Soft tissue manipulation 4. Tibial nerve mobilisation 5. Intrinsic muscles strengthing exercises 6. Antipronation taping 7. Kinesiology taping 8. Dry needling 9. Ankle joint manipulation.

ganglion is a fluid filled sac that arises from the joint covering. It is filled with a gelatinous material and usually doesnt cause much symptoms unless if its tense when it can cause some pain due to the stretch in the capsule. It can recur in about 15% after excision. if its not causing pain then it can left alone

Hi lybrate-user, in summer ankle edema is seen due to insufficient intake of water and excess intake of salt which causes water retention. Also due to warm weather blood vessels are dilated and cause pooling of blood and edema. Sitting and walking for long time may also cause edema. Be well hydrated, drink enough water, decrease salt intake, do ankle exercises, and walk after the weather cools down. All the best.
