No do not do this. The production of milk is dependent on suckling reflex. Milk production will stop on its own minus medicines if no body is fed. If you wish, you can donate milk to milk banks to be used by other mothers who are unable to feed.

Periods lasting from 2-7 days is considered as normal menses. Less flow for this short duration does not warrant any tests or treatment. If they come on time even with little irregularity, more than or equal to 2 days and > or equal to 1 pad in a day then menses are normal. Sometimes hormonal changes or stress or weight gain can reduce the flow of menses but it will get cured automatically. It is not related to exercise.

Yes you should. Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a condition in which a woman’s levels of the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone are out of balance. This leads to the growth of ovarian cysts (benign masses on the ovaries). PCOS can affect a women’s menstrual cycle, fertility, cardiac function, and appearance. Cause of PCOS is unknown, doctors believe that hormonal imbalances and genetics play a role. Women are more likely to develop PCOS if their mother or sister also has the condition. Symptoms of PCOS typically start soon after a woman begins to menstruate for the first time. The type and severity of symptoms varies from person to person. Symptoms can be excessive hair on the face, chest, stomach, thumbs, or toes decrease in breast size deeper voice hair loss acne weight gain pelvic pain depression infertility Hormonal study, Thyroid profile, USG etc are required to rule out. Diet and Yoga are important parts of managing PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Knowing the right foods to eat as well as the kinds of food to limit can improve the way you feel. It will also help you lose weight. Eating well, staying active, and maintaining a healthy weight (or losing even a small amount of weight if you’re overweight) can improve PCOS symptoms. Green, leafy vegetables Non–starchy fresh vegetables such as broccoli, spinach and carrots. Fruit like cherries, plums, pears, apples, dried apricots, grapes, coconut, coconut milk, kiwi, orange juice, prunes will be helpful. Avoid more sugary and carbohydrate foods, fast-food, preservatives containing packed foods, alcohol and coffee. I am glad that you know that she is afraid and that she is not playing sexual games of playing hard to get. Since she is genuinely afraid take her to a sexologist and have her discuss her fears to overcome whatever the false impression she may have about sex or intercourse. If not, she could do with some sex education and understand that this is normal between a man and a woman in marriage. If the communication between you two is okay, she can talk to you and express her fears and you can help her. Anyway you have to be very gentle with her and literally coax her into wanting sex. Some indian girls have been brought up in very protected environments and may have a lot of inhibitions about exposing their bodies to anyone, let alone a man, and her perception may be of severe abhorrence of sex because of the invasion into her body, and private parts at that. So a lot of care, gentleness and love must be exercised to tease her out of her inhibitions. Remember that the most important sexual organ is the brain: if you work on convincing and seducing her mind by gentle talk, she could be brought out of her anxiety and shyness. If you are effective, you can bring her to a point of no return by enticing the sexual desire, just by your talk! if talk is not enough and she allows you to touch her, then it is possible to drive her libido even more effectively by tapping and stimulating her erogenous zones: lower back, ears, back of the neck, inner thighs, nape of the neck, mouth/lips, nipples, breasts, vagina, and clitoris. You must progress gradually on these zones, little at a time, and when you see that she is receptive and is looking for more you may progress on to the more intense areas. Never hurry, as men are wont to do. And never attempt to do all of it on the same occasion. If she has a small vaginal opening, which can be dealt with even by her gynecologist, and in worse cases, she can have it opened surgically.

OM ( Aum) :-

The Initial spark of the creation came from the sound or vibration. “The sound was with GOD and the sound was GOD, that sound is OM. Om is Highest positive vibration. Om is a universal syllable. It's a cosmic energy. According to Vedas, and the Big Bang theory - the whole universe was created by the sound OM (aum). The Gospel, according to John 1:1 says,” In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the Word was God…….  And the word was made flesh.”

Chanting or Meditating ‘OM’ raise the vibrations of an individual, not just in body but in overall consciousness of one's soul and mind. According to the Quantum Physics, Everything is Energy. All are pulsating at a vibration, at their own frequency. Every individual has a particular energy/frequency of its own.

Chanting makes you align to the Whole, in tune with OM. There is no other sound in any language as AUM:

There are quite a few of them out there. A recipe for sex is basically a list of days to have sex on to try to get pregnant. Having sex on days 9, 11, 12, 14, & 16 of your cycle. Of course if you don't have a 28 day cycle this one probably won't work for you. Another plan is having sex every other day starting about day 10 of your cycle. 2. Try fertility charting fertility charting involves taking your temperature at the same time every morning before getting out of bed. You also observe for signs that you are ovulating and chart your cervical mucous pattern. Charting can help determine if you are ovulating and help you to pinpoint when ovulation is occurring. 3. Use ovulation prediction kits (opks) you can buy ovulation prediction kits at your local pharmacy or you can find them even cheaper if you purchase them online. A day or two before you ovulate, your body produces a surge of luteinizing hormone, lh. Opks work by detecting this lh surge. Follow the directions that come with your kit to determine how to read the test strips, what time of day to test, and also what day of your cycle you should begin testing. Opks cannot confirm ovulation, but they can help you predict ovulation before it occurs. Used in combination with fertility charting, they are very effective in determining ovulation.

On around 10-13 days of my periods I noticed bloody vaginal discharge. It stopped later. But since few days I feel pain and discomfort in left side of my vagina. What can it be due to? I am unmarried.

Around 14-15 days aftrr periods a woman ovulates, a little blood trickles out aftr that from the ovary trickles into fallopian tube and may drip thru uterus to vagina, midmenstrual bloody discharge is therefore normal, signifies ovulation. About the left vagina pain, that needs a gynae checkup.

Iif you r newly married the best contraceptive is ocps but you will need to ve a consultation with a gynaecologist before starting it to rule out any contraindication if found in the patient, and fot time being condoms are best, amd yes taking ipill or pillsafe has got its own sideeffect, its not recomended to take then without adivice from a registered practioner.

Hello lybrate user- irregular menses might occur due to two causes, first if you have developed anaemia (low hb count) or you have experienced sudden gain in your weight occur in pcod (poly cystic ovarian disease). It will affect your ovulation and hence your fertility after marriage. Try this ayurvedic treatment- a) tab kuberaksha vati 1 tab twice daily. B) tab hyponid 1 tab thrice daily. C) do basti treatment by nearby ayurvedic doctor (it is a very effective treatment in ayurveda for pcod). D) maintain proper eating routine, avoid fast foods and spicy diet.

We provide testing for fertility by all modalities ranging from reproductive hormones to diagnostic ultrasound to ascertain the cause. It is advisable that we make you undergo these tests before your final treatment/ plan of management is started.

  • Blood tests – These include a whole array of blood investigation ranging from CBC , Urine routine microscopy, RBS, TSH, PROLACTIN, VDRL, HIV, HBSAG, HCV, AMH. And any other test depending on the history of the couple.
  • Transvaginal ultrasound- A complete ultrasound of the uterus an adenexa is done to diagnose any anatomical disorder.
  • Specific tests – In cases of recurrent implantation failure and recurrent pregnancy loss or if required other tests are also advised.
  • Diagnostic Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy – For many, this test is an important part of a fertility evaluation .Laparoscopy takes place under general anaesthesia with small incisions made at or just below the navel and the pubic hairline. A laparoscope (a small-diameter telescope) is passed through the incision, which enables one to view the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus and pelvic cavity for abnormalities. We can check that the tubes are open (tubal patency) by injecting dye through the uterus and observing it spill or not through the ends of the fallopian tubes.

Hysteroscopy uses another small-diameter telescope called a hysteroscope. This enables to assess the uterine cavity for abnormalities such as polyps, adhesions or fibroids.

Diet for PCOD and Scope of Homoeopathy

PCOD is a very common condition seen in women these days. Women with PCOD are more prone to developing serious health conditions. There are several causes that lead to this condition, one of the primes of them being the diet we choose and our lifestyle. Given below are some important Do’s and Don’ts to follow, for women with PCOD and for all those who would like to prevent this condition. A little extra care if taken in effectively managing our diet and lifestyle could go a long way in preventing PCOD.

DO’s:

Diet:

- Wheat products (wheat bread, wheat pasta)
- Barley
- Natural diuretic fruits
- Raw fruits (especially apple, pear etc.) and vegetables
- Oats, Corn, Butter, eggs, almonds, peanuts, pumpkin, beans, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, eggplant, lettuce, mushroom, onions, peppers, spinach, vegetable oil, soya beans, apricots, blueberries, cantaloupe, cherries, figs, grapes, honeydew, lemon, tomato juice, kiwi fruit, pineapple, plum, raspberries, strawberries, watermelon, mango, cheese, radishes, olive oil, nuts, salmon fish, flaxseeds
- Protein rich foods
- High fiber rich food and Vit B rich food
- Opt for lean meat. Avoid chicken though, as they may be injected with male hormone to increase the muscle bulk, which would trigger PCOD
- Move to Soy products instead of milk, as milk has the tendency to increase the testosterone levels
- Include 1-2 litres of water in your diet, which avoids water retention
- Divide meals into small healthy 5-6 meals per day, instead of 3 heavy meals and never miss breakfast

Exercise:
- Sit –ups, push –ups
- Skipping helps you to lessen binge eating, the release of serotonin and dopamine will keep your stress levels low.
- Stress free methods such as Yoga, meditation, listening to music etc.


DON’T’S:

- All whites (Maida, white bread, pasta, etc.)
- Junk or fast foods, cakes, cookies, sweets, chocolates, soft drinks and soda, desserts etc.
- Avoid red meat, whole milk dairy, fried food, margarines
- Reduce Sodium intake, by avoiding sauces, chips, salted nuts, canned soups
- Quit smoking –as it stimulates Androgen
- Avoid alcohol

Scope of Homoeopathy in PCOD:

Homeopathic approach towards management of PCOD is constitutional, taking into account the presenting complaints along with physical, mental and genetic make-up that individualizes a person.
