I have a mouth ulcer. What is the remedy for curing it. Due to deficiency of vitamin c.
Use lexanox plus oral gel thrice daily, cap ZNS twice daily for 15 days.  . Cause of the ulcer is still unknown, the following are associated with them. Stress– We have seen that many students suffer from mouth ulcers during exam time. Also many adults suffer from ulcers when they are tensed for many days. Insufficient Sleep – People who do not take a good sound sleep do suffer from mouth ulcers. Stomach and intestine diseases – People suffering from constipation or some gastrointestinal diseases also suffer from mouth ulcers. Vitamin B and Folic acid deficiency – Improper diet which is mainly due to overeating of fast foods and not having a good diet rich in green leafy vegetables often lead to deficiency of essential vitamins and minerals indirectly causing mouth ulcers. Trauma and food allergy – Injury due to tooth brushing or any hot foods and beverages can cause these ulcers. Also, some people have allergies to certain foods which often cause mouth ulcers.

The intake of sweet foods should be limited as they are changed into acids by the bacteria present in the dental plaque.

I have a teeth problem all over the mouth and sensitivity problem also available.

The type of treatment you have for toothache /sensitivity/swelling will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.

How can I align my teeth properly without doing a costly operation. What if I buy a brace and use it myself? Are there any side effects?

Dear Lybrate user, you can align your teeth by fix orthodontic treatment. If there is space in your front teeth then will not be any surgical procedure. If you have not space in your front teeth 1st premoller extraction will be done before orthodontic treatment. Fix orthodontic treatment is long time treatment it take 1.5 to 2 years for complete the treatment. You can not apply or remove braces himself. You must consult dentist for orthodontic treatment.

Use a toothbrush, tooth paste and lukewarm water to clean the retainers regularly. Keeping them clean and germ-free is very important.
