Dear, first thing take some routine painkiller and apply ice on the swelling. The reason for this kind of swelling can be either infection in the root of teeth or an infection of salivary glands. I suggest you see a surgeon first, then if needed see a dental surgeon. Best wishes.

To get rid of marks, there are a variety of solutions. First of all topical creams with anti-pigmentation actives like kojic acid, licorice extract or alpha-hydroxy acids are ideal. Secondly, going to a dermatologist who can prescribe proper medications is ideal. Third, there are a variety of treatments like metabolic peels or lasers like renew, which are the best for getting rid of those marks.

Hi lybrate-user, thats very unfortunate. I see that you have already taken some medications for the same. Let me suggest some home remedies. 1. Tea tree oil - Recommended for tinea faciei because of its anti-fungal and anti-septic properties. Topical applications are recommended with the help of a cotton ball. Daily repetitions are indicated until the first results become noticeable. It is recommended to warm the tea tree oil a little before actually applying it on the skin. 2. Garlic or garlic extract - Recommended because of its anti-fungal properties. Regular use is indicated for effective results. If you decide to use regular garlic, then cut it into slices, apply it directly on the skin and bandage the area. The best results are when the garlic is made into a paste, applied on the skin and left there over the night 3. Apple cider vinegar - Natural anti-fungal properties. Topical applications are recommended with the help of a cotton ball. Daily repetitions are indicated until the first results become noticeable. Complete removal of the fungal infectious agent. 4. Coconut oil - Natural healing properties. Recommended for cases with intense itchiness. Overnight applications are most recommended 5. Turmeric - Apply fresh turmeric on the skin with the help of a cotton ball. Daily repetition of application Hope this helps. Good Luck.

I am suffered from dark circles under my eyes, I am much treatment of different doc but can not solve my dark circles...
Dark circles is fairly a common problem many people face. While ageing is the primary cause of dark circles, but with the changing lifestyle, hectic work schedule and poor nutrition, more and more people are facing dark circles. Those who are anemic, have liver disease, poor digestion, stay dehydrated or have a family history of dark circles are more prone to dark circles. Skin around eyes is the thinnest and that is why poor blood circulation in that particular area appears more prominently in the form of blue/black eyes. The best treatment to treat dark circles is to increase oxygen circulation in your body with the help of exercises, yoga. Taking break between hectic work schedule and splashing your eyes with cold water 2-3 times a day is helpful. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, have a balanced diet, eat more iron and zinc containing food like dates, chicken, nuts and dry fruits. Many topical creams that contain kojic acid helps to reduce dark circles but they should taken after consulting a good dermatologist only. Some latest treatments like intense pulsed light therapy, skin resurfacing and injectable fillers give faster and long lasting results, but before you choose one it's important to determine the cause. Visit your nearest dermatologist to determine the root cause of dark circles and find the right treatment.

Diagnosis and Treatment of Urticaria and Angioedema!

Diagnosis and Treatment of Urticaria and Angioedema!

What is angioedema?

Angioedema or Chronic Urticaria is a form of severe swelling beneath the surface layer of the skin. In most of the cases, the swelling occurs along with the appearance of hives. This is why angioedema is commonly referred to as “giant hives.” They tend to be itchy and red boils can develop on the surface of the skin. They are predominantly caused by an allergic reaction to food or medication. Many other factors can also trigger angioedema. These can include pollen grains and insect bites. Angioedema is not a serious medical condition and only in some extreme cases, they tend to get really serious. It usually goes away on its own.

Symptoms
The most common symptom of Angioedema is the swelling beneath the surface of the skin. It may occur on any skin surface and can include your feet, hands, back, and lips. The other common symptom is the presence of the red boils on the surface of the skin. Additional symptoms of angioedema can include rashes, stomach cramping and in some cases swollen throat and difficulty in breathing. Difficulty in breathing can get serious if not treated immediately. Seek medical attention immediately if you get those symptoms.

Causes and Diagnosis:
Angioedema is caused predominantly by allergic reactions. Everybody condition is different and the allergic levels of your body can depend on various factors. Some of them can be even hereditary. Some of them can be due to insect bites, pollen allergies, poison oak or ivy, medications and certain types of food. It can also be due to illness or an underlying medical condition. There are certain risk factors too involved in it and this can include a previous allergic reaction, injury, stress and anxiety and as stated earlier – hereditary. Diagnosis is by a physical examination and in most cases, the doctors would examine the areas of the swelling. Your blood samples would also be tested and the substances that have caused the allergic reactions are identified first.

Treatment:
Angioedema is a condition that can go away on its own. Hence minor symptoms and minor skin allergies do not require medical treatment. Moderate symptoms, however, do require treatment and mostly these involve drugs and medications to curb the itching and swelling. There are also certain home remedies that can be used to relieve such symptoms. You can use wet compress, cold press and wear cotton clothes to avoid itching and scratching. In many instances, the agents that cause the irritants are identified first and then the patient is advised to stay from those agents. For example, if a certain type of food is causing you allergic reactions, then you might be asked to stay away from it. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can ask a free question.
