Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight.If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

Hello less weight is sometimes common according to age. Ayurveda believes in digestion not into giving heavy food for weight gain. According to ayurveda, food which are easy to digest but nutrient can gain weight. But I need detait history for perfact solution. Like your appetite? bowel habits sleeping habits kind of your work or job life style diet etc. But till you can do following: take daal rice more. Use cow ghee n milk. Avoid over eating start massage with til oil in morning, after that, do exercise whatever you want then bath focus in yourself avoid stress anger fear take ajvayan 1 tsp after meal. Start chyavanprash in morning.

Yes you can take boiled potato but take all protein rich foods like all milk and milk products, eggs, pulses, sprouts, nuts etc. To gain muscle mass instead of unhealthy fat in your body.

Hi, please see if your babies scalp is ok or having less amount of dandruff or scalp has become dry. This may be the cause. Apply coconut oil regularly. Wash hair with jhonsons shampoo.

Few details are required to give correct advise, like weight, height, waist circumference, level of physical activity every day and the dosage of medications taken. Ppg 0.2 needs to be taken with each meal with first bite. As regards the food on tour one can stick to dal roti, salads, curd and a little rice (if needed). Breakfast could be upama, 2 idlis, 1 -2 plain dosas with nil oil, and half apple or 1 orange etc. Dinner should be similar to lunch. Avoid sweets, pastries, deep fried foods, drink dilute butter milk. A glass of skimmed milk can be had at bed time.

Hair loss could be due to deficiencies in the body or hormonal imbalances or medical problrms. Shampoos and oils will not help in such cases. You might need certain blood tests to find out the exact reason of your hair loss.

8 Alarming causes of abnormal vaginal bleeding you need to know about

Vaginal bleeding stands for blood loss from the vagina (including the vaginal wall) or uterus. Marking the beginning of a new reproductive cycle, normal vaginal bleeding (menstruation) takes place every 21-35 days.
It is regarded abnormal if it takes place

- Outside of your normal menstruation period
- When you’re pregnant
- After menopause
- Menstrual flow is heavier or lighter than normal

Common Causes of Unexpected Vaginal Bleeding:

1. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
If your body’s hormone production is out of balance, it brings about a disruption in the normal ovulation (monthly discharge of an egg) cycle, causing abnormal vaginal bleeding.

2. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
Infection or inflammation of the female reproductive organs namely, uterus, ovaries or fallopian tubes as a result of sexually transmitted bacteria can lead to abnormal bleeding. The problem occurs when the bacterial infection spreads from the vagina into these parts of the reproductive system. More importantly, inflammation of these areas can also bring about vaginal bleeding particularly after sexual intercourse.

3. Intrauterine Device (IUD)
The use of Intrauterine Device (a birth control tool that is inserted into the uterus to prevent future pregnancy) can also cause vaginal bleeding like spotting (light bleeding between periods) or heavy periods.

4. Medicines
Any hormonal medications, containing Estrogen or Progesterone (eg: certain birth control pills), when taken irregularly or indiscriminately, may lead to hormonal imbalance, leading to abnormal bleeding.

5. Early Pregnancy
Another very important cause of abnormal bleeding in women of reproductive age group is - Pregnancy. Any abnormal pregnancy or early pregnancy with certain defects, can lead to abnormal bleeding even though you may not yet be aware of the pregnancy. Usually, it is the first condition to be investigated in a woman with abnormal uterine bleeding, in reproductive age group.

Apart from these common causes, abnormal vaginal bleeding can also happen due to:

6. Thyroid Disorders
Changes in your menstrual cycle as a result of the hormonal imbalance brought on by an underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) or an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) can lead to irregular bleeding patterns.

7. Uterine fibroids
Abnormal growths in the uterus or on its surface can lead to unexpected vaginal bleeding (longer or heavier periods and bleeding between periods).

8. Cancer of the reproductive organs
Cancer of the uterus, ovaries, vagina or cervix is also known to be an uncommon cause of abnormal vaginal bleeding. The blood loss can take place after sexual intercourse or between one menstrual cycle and the next.

Hello, please follow the doctor prescribed medicine. Which controls the diabetics and will not allow you increase. But along with medication, you need to concentrate on food also. Make sure your food must have high protein, fiber and omega-3 nutrition. Its good to have more protein rather than carbohydrates, which converts into glucose and may have a chance to increase the diabetes. Due to long sitting hours your back muscles are getting overloaded and fatigued. Firstly make some postural adjustments. Your desktop should be at your eye level, sit straight, keep a pillow behind your lower back take breaks every 2 hrs walk and stretch your back. Apart from this exercises for your low back are necessary. Learn these from a physiotherapist.

Sir, weight gain is not that tough, only you have to plan a proper chart for you including more of protein, carbs etc. Eat in every 2 – 3 hours. Start having dry fruits, Drink plenty of water. During changing weather, everyone needs to guard against common immunity related illnesses such as cold and flu. The best thing you can do is prevent them from taking a healthy diet. Try making a ginger tea with cloves to help treat a sore throat and cough. Salt water has been used as a gargle for centuries because it works so well: helps cleanse the throat of phlegm. Dissolve 2 teaspoon salt in 1 cup warm water and gargle three or four times daily. Honey has mild antibacterial. Stir 1.3 teaspoons into 1 cup warm water and gargle two or three times a day.
