For knee pain, please follow the below advise: avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area. Contrast fomentation (hot and cold). Wish you a speedy recovery.

I have been suffering from knee pain for the past three years. It has been diagnosed as Osteo arthritis and loss of cartilage. I have tried physiotherapy. Hydro therapy and allopathic drugs (NSAID). Drink plenty of water as there could be possibility of low sodium level .kindly check that level through lab test. - if you having knee arthritis, your pain will aggrevate to calf myscles also, consult physiotherapist for good mobility and strength of joint muscles.

Possibly osteoarthritis. Get xray both kness AP and lateral view done. Avoid squating (avoid using Indian style toilet). AVOID sitting cross legged. Start Quadriceps exercise with some physiotherapist help.

Intense muscle soreness after weight lifting. Lasting for a week now. What should i do?

You need to improve the tone of the muscles in a rhythmical manner. If you do that with proper diet restriction nothing will happen to you. Body pain is there after gym activity due to tiredness and you need to consume good protein and iron diet in your body which will help you to break the fatigue and body pain. You have to reduce the weight by walking minimum 3-4 kms per day. Slowly reduce the weight and slowly avoid adding salt in the diet which will help you to prevent water retention in the body. Excess salt in general leads to water in the body which might be the reason for you legs to pain as the leg will automatically become oedematous.

I am having lower back pain from past few months (5-6 months), I went to doctor and they scanned my back and everything was fine. I am not sure why this is happening, I do feel uneasy most of the times. Is it because of tight grip on waist ir bcz of workout (i am cautious while doing workouts). Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement.
