If you are sexually active and are not using any regular contraception I would advice you to do a urine pregnancy test first. If negative then get a thyroid function and Hb done. If these are normal and your cycles continue to be regular but scanty then it is important to exclude pelvic infection including tuberculosis.

You should breastfeed the baby as it also helps you to lose weight and builds child's immunity. Also to lose weight, have small meals instead of heavy meals, especially your dinner should be very light (1 chapati with vegetable, salads, curd / milk) and early dinner (8: 00 pm).Cut down on sweets, sugar, fried foods. Junk foods and high carbohydrate foods like roti, rice, pasta, pizza, burgers, potatoes. Have 2-3 servings of fruits & vegetables. Walk atleast for 30 minutes daily.

I've extra skin on my vagina & I'm not married yet Aur mujhe darr lag raha k mere husband kya kahenge aur kya sonchenge ise dekh kar please help me Out of this.

Success or failure of MTpill is decided only by sonography (normally done around 15 days after treatment). If sonography has confirmed that abortion is complete at least that area there is nothing to worry. Then changes in periods happen because of hormones so examing Gynecologist with help of reports decide treatment so meet same Gynecologist.

Yes there should not be any issue in getting pregnant after marriage. But you need to prevent pregnancy before marriage with condoms or ipill or novelon.

Hello, On 15th, you had withdrawal bleed which was as expected and indicates that you are pregnancy safe.

Hello, I am 31 years old married female. I married in January 2014, but till date struggling for a baby. I consulted several doctor's and tested everything they advised. Even if we tried according to their instructions but no result. I doubt myself not ovulate a fertilized egg as my husband bought 20 strips of ovulation kit and neither any of the strips showed the positive result. I started testing from my 8th day of monthly period. I do have irregular periods. So please suggest me if any alternative method to test whether I ovulate or not. My husband's sperm count is also ok. We take healthy food and maintain a simple life style. But don't want to take any medicine more. I am trying yoga to keep me fit and away from stress and tension.

Hi, your history clearly points out to polycystic ovaries which is not an alarming situation and can be handled easily, with little bit of determination. Please test your blood on the second day of your periods for S.FSH & S.LH and send it to me here. You may need to lose at least half a kg weight per week by exercising vigorously and not dieting severely. Apart from this, we need to know more about yours and your husband's other blood values, your histories and sexual function etc. A detailed couple counselling and life style changes will help you achieve pregnancy without spending on expensive procedures like IVF. Best wishes.
