I am experiencing some severe pain in my knees from past 15 days. I use to do squats for legs exercise and use to experience such pain quite often. But this time its quite severe and its not going. Can it be serious?

You seem to have strained your ligaments and muscles of knee joint. 1. Avoid exercises till pain is relieved. Take anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen round the clock for relief. Take it for 4 to 5 days. 2. Apply cold pack on knee 10 mins for 4 times a day. 3. Take calcium supplements and adequate liquids. 4. Start knee exercises once pain is relieved. If problem persists or aggravates consult with your doctor.

You must have speained your acapular muscles. Try doing shrugs, push up in standing, and retractions. Also apply ice to relieve pain.

HI am 22 year old, I have pain in my knees, whenever I walk continuously fr more than 5 min I start feeling pain in my knee, it becomes very heavy later, unable to handle my own weight's pressure on that knee, feels like it will break if I dont release the pressure and sometimes the pain is like a lightening .just i m underweight, I weigh 42 kg n I stand 5.2 inches tall. My doc has given me some vit tablet n also rexonac gel But I am still facing the same issue Hope you can help.

Hi. I have seen your msg. Have you undergone any vitamin d test. If you have then what is the result of your vitamin D.you can start some knee strengthening exercise .start with light exercise without weight. Once the pain reduce you can start with some resistance exercise with the help of good physiotherapist doctor. U can do contrast bath that is apply cold and hot bag alternately for 20 min. Apply hot bag for 10 min and then give a gap for 5 min and then apply 10 min cold pack. You can even use knee cap while walking. See a good physiotherapist.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. To loose weight: step 1-stop taking sugar & fat e. G. Ghee/fried stuff. Step 2 take a plat of salad before meals reduce no. Of chapatti gradually.

Since I am a physiotherapist I cannot suggest medicine but I suggest you to hotwater fermentations that would help you to get relieved from joint pains. I also suggest you to go for good ayurvedic body massage which would help you to get releived from joint pain and also swimming activity is advisable. But food precautions, it is better to avoid tamarind in the food rather to add Lime or Mango.

My knee is quite painful and after xray doctors told me the gap is less. I find difficult to walk. Doctors suggested weight loss. No matter how I try my weight not reducing. Walking is tough and my posture also getting bad. What can I do to loose wight and for my knee to be less painful.

Hello, Your weight is way to high. So start with including more vegetables. Aim to eat atleast 8-10 servings of vegetables. Atleast 4 servings should be raw. Have small meals many times a day. As you cannot do walking try doing g sitting exercises like simple head and neck movements, hand movements, breathing exercises and pranayama. Take good quality protein from legumes, pulses, soya, and egg. Supplementing with vitamin C, omega. 3 fatty acids, vit D also helps you a lot with your problem. Hope you find this useful. Stay healthy and stay fit☺

Do take IFT and UST for 12 days followed by Mobilisation Exercises and all calcium rich foods is good

My age is 22. I am a student. I have been facing neck pain for the last four years. When I consulted doctor in this problem they told like this" Do neck exercises. It will be cured" But it doesn't reduced. The pain has increased for the last four days. Please suggest me medicine.

For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and get your blood checked for CBC and also get a xray done to rule out spondylosis
