Can a patient undergo kidney transplantation at the age of 72, diabetic and underwent CABG. What will be the success rate if we go for brain dead or accident case.

Hello dear lybrate-user, Warm welcome to Lybrate.com I have evaluated your query thoroughly. Can undergo kidney transplantation after discussion of anesthesia risk with the doctor success rate depends upon multiple factors after evaluation of the patient, not possible with 2 line data As a personal opinion, if patient condition is settle under medications, I do not recommend kidney transplant at 72 years. Hope this clears your query. Wishing him fine recovery.

Dear lybrate-user, the pattern of pain you r telling cud be of sciatica. But no worries ayuvreda and panchakarma has remedy for you. Get a mri done to pin point the cause and site of pain. Meanwhile go for ayurveda's panchkarma therapy - we have many option for you - kati basti (specialised panchakarma procedure for backpains), localised massgae with herbal oils, localised medicated steam, pottali massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax your back muscles and give strength to your nerves and muscles of back. Also start some yogic exercises - tadasana, dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. This will greatly help. Please avoid pushing / pulling heavy objects, long sittings, long two-wheeler drives. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. Please update with your valuable feedback after 15 days.\

Physiotherapy Management:You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation. Knee Pain: As arthritis is very common that you get generally bilaterally. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Simple Knee ExerciesSpecific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. I also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Knee pain more than 2 weeks:if your knee is paining since 2 weeks, then you have to rethink whether you had any injury in the previous years. I also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. As arthritis is very common if anyone would've neglected any injury in the previous years. I, at times, forget the name of a person I very well know. Like in a party I want to introduce to my wife someone whom I know. I feel at a loss to find that the name of the person whom I want to introduce does not come to my mind. Like forgetting the name of a film actor while watching a film on the TV screen. Otherwise I have a sharp memory. I can mentally multiply or add/subtract numbers, do other calculations. Like I buy something. Before the shopkeeper calculates the amount I readily come out with the figure. Being a lawyer I can remember judgments and the ratios drawn from the judgments. But I forget the names. GENERALLY BAD IN REMEMBERING NAMES. Is it the onset of dementia like Alzheimer's?

Dear sir, this alone is not suggestive of dementia. This kind of thing can happen in younger people as well, but more commonly in the elderly. Please make sure your thyroid levels and doses are appropriate. Also get a vitamin B12 level done if not already done before. If all of these are normal, then we need to keep a watch on this to see if there is any major worsening in this. Please bear in mind that the very fact that one is paying attention to this may falsely elevate the number of instances of forgetting because incidents which would have otherwise been ignored will now be taken into account. Therefore, I said that only if there is a sudden or severe worsening in these symptoms we need to worry. otherwise there does not seem to be a problem.

IT was before 4 years that my mother took me to a psychiatrist for a consultation since I was slow and he recommended me for a "architol" injection, the medicine reacted in the night, my heart beat went up and my whole body (left side) paralyzed the next morning, it stayed till the next night Then we saw a doctor the next day who gave me "pacitane" and my body became normal. Now after 4 years I sometimes get panic attacks and unable to do concentrate without sleep, have nervousness, sometimes unable to eat food also due to GERD, Unable to bear a extreme hot weather. Visited a psychiatrist once again and he had done all tests post which he said I have anxiety, has recommended "Tolaz 10 md" which I have taken for 3 months, it puts me to sleep and is helping only a little, still my left side is sometimes shivering, This is a issue where not even my friends, wife or relatives are unable to understand as I'm looking and doing this fine, but unable to focus at work, not feeling appetite, I have not been having a job for sometime now.

MD - Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Chennai
The medications which have been given are not for anxiety, but for psychosis. Tolaz and the injection are both anti-psychotics. Because of the injection, you might have had side effect of EPS, hence pacitane has worked. It would be nice if you gain insight and take medications regularly as advised by your psychiatrist. All the best.

I have seen patients taking all kind of Drugs for migraine and it is like getting promoted to a higher drug. But now I treat them Simply with very mild drugs because I was wrong in thinking migraine is a problem in the head but it isn't. Things become simple and magical when we address to the roots.

I am giving some health tips for Migraine headache •1.You can turn off light for some time •2.Apply hot or cold compresses to your head or neck. •Ice packs have a numbing effect, which may dull the sensation of pain. •Hot packs and heating pads can relax tense muscles. •3.Warm showers or baths may have a similar effect. •4.You can take Tea or coffee( but not excess) 5.Sleep well Here are some tips to encourage sound sleep.
