Hi. Take homoeopathic medicine - schwabe's alpha-nc and alpha-cf - both thrice daily for 4 days. Use bakson's nasal-aid spray/ 1-2 sprays after every 4 hours. Management: - avoid cold drinks and fried food, take healthy food. -avoid exposure to air-conditioner or cold air. -take steam-inhalation once before going to bed. -take enough sleep and rest.

I have 1.5 mg/dl creatinine. I have seen my physician and he told me to drink 3 ltrs of water and check the reading after 1 week along with ultrasound of abdomen, calcium - phosphorus ratio, urine routine. My hbl1c is 6.5. Had 10.5 in 2001 and in control. 9 months back went up to 7.8.Any suggestions about what to do about creatinine levels? Physician suggested that we will change the drug which is 250 mg in the morning and night of metformin after the results of creatinine readings after 1 week if it is still elevated.

A) Drink Herbal/green tea (2 glass daily), drink 6-8 glasses of water (not excess), b) Restrict salt intake, Reduce protein intake like meat/fish/chicken/egg, diary product (cheese/milk/yogurt/butter), white bread, white flour, sweet/tea/coffee/ beer/wine. C) Avoid strenuous physical activity/Exercise (Go for light exercise like Yoga, Walking instead of strenuous exercise like running/playing basket ball/foot ball), d) sleep well (7-8) hours daily e) Avoid nephro toxic drugs like Ibuprufen/Ace inhibitor, cyclosporine, f) Control Diabetes/Hypertension, g) Do thyroid function test to rule out hypothyroidism, h) Avoid potassium containing food like orange, banana, potato, brocoli, spinach, bean, peas dry fruits. I) Take low potassium containing fruits like apple, blue berry, corn, cucumber, J) Avoid excess salt/salty food, excess protein like Red meat/ Diary product. K) Avoid phosphorous rich food like cheese/fish/pumpkin/soybeans. Follow these simple steps to ensure a good sleep every night and stay away from sleep disorders and other health problems associated with unhealthy sleep habits: 1) maintain a regular sleep routine go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help relaxed and de-stressed. Sleep well live healthy and live longer. If you have tried all these and still have problems, please consult me for prescription medication.

I drink plenty of water but my urine out put is decreased, what would be the reason, I am not having dehydration, diaherria, vomiting, abdominal pain or fever, if I drink plenty of water I feel less urine output with week stream

First calculate it objectively. Measure the amount of fluids you are taking orally and the amount of urine you have passed in a 24 hour period. Then you will get correct idea. This is science. Feelings are not how we decide things.

Eat less and avoid fatty foods. Maintain regular timings and food habits. Have a good sleep. Don't take food earlier taken food is digested. Avoid spicy fatty and junk food. You will be alright.

I am diagnosed with Cervical Dystonia. My head involuntarily turns to left. I have had two rounds of botox of 200 units on 6th Feb'16 and another 250 units recently on 17th May' 16 from a reputed movement disorder expert in Mumbai. My agony is that I have had no relief.
