I have weak rectum due to this I can not sit. Even on laying the intestine is strained. doctors advised first to pelvic exercises. I am doing exercise from last two months but there is no improvement. I want to know if the operation of rectum is successful or I should exercise for few more months. please give me advice.

MBBS, MS - General Surgery
General Surgeon, Hyderabad
Im unable to understand you symptoms clearly, however I assume that there is a prolapse of rectum from your anal canal, as self diagnosis is dangerous my advise is to see a colorectal surgeon for opinion. You may require surgery to hold back the prolapsing segment of the descending colon.

Dear you are nearing prostatic age so we must consider it. For that get urine examination and sonography with full bladder volume, bladder wall thickness and post-void residual urine volume. Post the results of these tests here with pictures

Lower UTI - 8 Common Symptoms

MBBS, DGO
Gynaecologist, Dehradun
Lower UTI - 8 Common Symptoms

A Urinary Tract Infection(UTI) can occur in any part of the urinary tract including the kidneys, ureters, bladder or urethra. The causes of a UTI can be many, with bacteria being the most common cause. In fact, UTIs are generally more common among women as they have shorter urethras, which make it easier for the UTI causing bacteria to pass through to the bladder.

The symptoms of UTI vary depending on the area of your urinary tract that has been infected. These symptoms are:

Lower urinary tract infection:

1. Bladder cystitis, in which the lining of bladder and urethra become inflamed and irritated

2. Dysuria, which is a burning sensation during urination

3. A frequent or intense urge to urinate, even though little comes out when you do

4. Urinary urgency, which is the sensation of having to urinate urgently

5. Cloudy, dark bloody or strange-smelling urine

6. Cramping or pressure in lower abdomen or lower back

7. Pelvic pain in women particularly in the center of the pelvis and around the area of pubic bone

8. Mild fever or chills indicating that the infection may have reached your kidneys

Upper urinary tract infection:

1. Fairly high fever with fatigue

2. Shaking chills with a feeling of discomfort

3. Nausea and vomiting

4. Flank Pain, which is pain in the back or side, usually on only one side at about waist level

Since pregnant women are at an increased risk of contracting UTIs, their urine should be checked during prenatal visits to prevent unrecognized infection that can cause pregnancy complications.

I am 21 years old m staying in hostel and recently I found my urine to be orange in colour. Same happened with my friends. M really worried.

This discoloration of urine appears to be food related. Please check in detail whether there is some food color is being used during cooking. Increase daily water intake to 3.5litres.

Can someone with single kidney by birth go for gall bladder removal due to gallstones? Is there any complications?

BHMS
Homeopath, Howrah
It depends on the health of person. If the gallbladder is inflamed due to stones and other symptoms like pain fever etc is present it needs to be removed otherwise acutely inflammed gallblader may rupture causing complication.

Hi lybrate user. At first you have to follow some basic things so that you get better results in a short period of time. 1) take food twice in a day only 2) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals 3) avoid oily, spicy, salty, junk, fast and fermented foods 4) avoid late night sleeping habits. 5) do yogasan and pranayam regularly. 6) avoid cigarette smoking. A) take 50 ml of draksharishta and 30 ml of aloe vera juice along with 50 ml of lukewarm water at night before sleep. B) take half tsf of avipattikar churna and half tsf of lavanbhaaskar churna after meals. C) take 30 ml of ginger juice and 30 ml of honey before meals. Do all these things for fifteen days and give your valuable feedback for further suggestions. Thanks.

Urine infection may be due to less water intake or holding urine for a longer time. Anyone can get infected anytime, but have plenty of fluids to cleanse your body.

I am 39 years male. From 9 months sometimes I felt pain in urination and ejaculation and importantly my penis size deceases by length and breadth and well my cock too. Please help. Am I suffering from prostate or prostate cancer?

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
Dear such symptoms alone don't qualify for prostate cancer. -However u have to get your urine examined first to rule out any urinary infection -Is there any history of sudden weight loss/fever etc??? -u can get PSA(Prostate Specific Ag) test done by lab to rule out any chance of prostate malignancy.. further comment can be given only once the both reports are available

I am 18 years old male. I am having troubles urinating. I feel the urge to urinate frequently, and it pains while urinating. Also, I believe a little blood too comes out with the urine as the color is reddish. It's been 2 days, and the problem seems to be increasing. Thank you in advance.

Md- Homeopathy
Homeopath, Noida
This problem may be due to some infection in the tract or even a result of small calculi in the kidneys so first do one cue I.e complete urine analysis and get a usg (sonography) of abdomen and pelvis done. U can also have a glass of water in which coriander seeds and whole cumin (jeera has been soaked overnight) this will help in reducing the frequency of urination to some extent.

I am a 23 years old guy. Within 30 mins of every urination, when I sit down / bend or tend to pick something from floor, a few drop of urine comes from my penis. What is wrong?

MBBS
General Physician, Cuttack
The cause is not known. 1. Male urethra is not a straight tube. It is a “S” shaped tube leading to accumulation of few drops after urination. 2.Try milking urethra after urination (Shaking penis is not enough) by applying pressure at a place behind scrotum (you can feel the urethra asa tube). 3.You can also do keggel exercise (1.contract the muscle which you use to stop urinating 2.squeeze for 3 sec, 3.relax for 3 sec, 4. .repeat 10-15 times per session .Do it 3 times daily.) 4.Consult urologist for further advice.
