Vaginal Yeast Infection - All You Need To Know

Vaginal Yeast Infection - All You Need To Know

When the growth of the yeast living in the vagina increases on an abnormal basis, it may lead to a yeast infection. Yeast is a fungus and this infection is usually caused by a kind of yeast that is called Candida Albicans.

So read on to find out everything there is to know about yeast infection!

  • Causes: As discussed above, this infection may be caused due to the growth of a particular type of virus. The other reasons include any phenomenon that leads to a change in the balance of the microorganisms living in this area. This can occur due to the intake of antibiotics, as well as high estrogen levels due to hormone therapy treatment or even pregnancy. The use of birth control pills during menstrual cycles can also trigger this infection. Also, other ailments in the patient's body, like diabetes and HIV infection can be the cause behind the same.
  • Symptoms: Most of the time, one will experience the symptoms of this infection in the week leading up to the monthly menstrual cycle. Redness, a sore pain, itchiness and a thick white discharge are the most common symptoms of this condition. Also, skin irritation and pain during urination can occur for more severe cases.
  • Treatment: Usually, it has been seen that this infection clears up on its own once the menstrual cycle starts. This happens because the blood that is discharged during the period can help in restoring the pH balance of the vagina which takes care of yeast growth. It can be recurrent or a one time infection. Boric acid capsules are the best way to treat this condition. If the infection has occurred during pregnancy, you must see a doctor about treatment before taking any medication or home remedies on your own.
  • Home Remedies: Avoiding sexual intercourse or using a lubricant can help in alleviating the pain that one feels in such cases. Also, you can swap your tampons for pads during the infection and the treatment. Further, sitting in a tub of warm water can help in soothing the area. Remember to keep the area dry and clean at all times.
  • Prevention: Prevention includes eating a balanced diet that will supply all the necessary nutrients to your body. Dairy products like yogurt and milk will help in preventing this kind of infection as well as plenty of fruits. Also, avoid using too many antibiotics or eating too much sugar.

Yeast infection should be treated with home remedies only when you are not pregnant. Also, you must be aware of any other ailments like diabetes before self prescribing any medicine or treatment. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Sexologist.

I am having big pimples on my forehead and it is increasing day by day .can you suggest me please what can I do?

I am having big pimples on my forehead and it is increasing day by day .can you suggest me please what can I do?
Causes Forehead Pimples? The basic principle behind the formation of a pimple is a clogged skin pore. This clogging can result from dead skin cells, excess oil, dirt, grime, and other impurities. All of these together make a wonderful concoction in the pore and provide a suitable environment for bacteria to grow, giving rise to a pimple. 1. Clogged Pores The main and universal cause of acne! As the forehead lies in the T-zone, which is known for its excess oil production quality, the pores tend to get clogged, leading to acne. 2. Dandruff In The Hair Dandruff can trigger acne on the forehead as it is basically a skin infection. It is caused by fungi that can also irritate the skin on your forehead and cause pimples. 3. Oily Scalp If you have an oily scalp, the oil can run down and result in clogged pores and acne on your forehead. 4. Certain Medications Medications like birth control pills tend to trigger forehead acne in certain people. Consult/question your doctor about the medication he has prescribed if this happens. 5. Digestive Problems Digestive problems are probably the main cause of forehead acne if you do not have the issues mentioned above. Even according to Chinese medicine, pimples on forehead are related to digestive issues. 6. Excess Stress Stress is one factor that contributes to most of our illnesses in some way or the other. It can disrupt the hormonal balance and also the regular oil production of the skin, causing pimples. 7. Certain Hair Products Hair styling products like hair spray, heat protectant, serum, etc. Tend to trigger acne when they come into contact with your forehead. 8. Over Exfoliating Though exfoliation helps in removing the dead cells and keeping the skin fresh, overdoing it could result in skin irritation and acne. Anything done excessively can do more harm than good to the skin. 9. Wearing Helmets And Caps If you are someone who drives two-wheelers, then a helmet is a must. However, the inside of the helmet is not easy to clean and very often nobody even pays attention to the fact that it needs to be cleaned. The sweat from your skin can make the helmet a breeding ground for bacteria. These, when they come in contact with your forehead, can cause pimples. How To Get Rid Of Pimples On Forehead: Clay Mask With Tea Tree/Lavender Oil Apple Cider Vinegar Lemon Juice Mustard Powder With Honey Tomato Mask Essential Oils Eggs Aloe Vera Green Tea Extract Glycolic Acid.

My hair is becoming white please tell me the great solution. How can I make my hair black and stop becoming white.
Hello. We can't change the gray hair turn black, but of course, prevent further greying! The causes of premature graying of hair are several. Here we have listed out a few common causes. Heredity is a major reason for hair greying Excessive use of tobacco and smoking Chronic emotional stress or psychological worries Lack of nutrients such as vitamins, iron, copper and iodine in the diet Medical conditions such as anemia, hypothyroidism, tuberous sclerosis or neurofibromatosis Home Remedies: 1. Add the curry leaves to the oil and boil it for 6 to 8 minutes, or till the leaves turn black. Remove from flame and let it cool. Strain the oil in a container and massage your scalp and hair with this oil 3 to 4 times per week before going to bed. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning. 2. Turn the fenugreek seeds to a smooth powder and keep aside. Heat the oil and add the amla pieces to it, let it boil for 5 to 6 minutes, add the fenugreek powder to the oil, let it boil for another minute and remove from flame. Let it cool and strain the oil, apply on scalp and hair before going to bed. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning. 3. Mix onion and lemon juice in a glass bowl and apply on scalp and hair evenly. Leave it on for 30 minutes and wash off with a mild herbal shampoo. Repeat it 4 to 5 times a week for 2 weeks. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine – Schwabe's Acid Phos. 200/ once daily and Weisbaden 200/ twice daily – all of them for 1 month. And a multivitamin - A to Z/ 1 cap. Daily once for 3 months (as deficiency of zinc, copper and selenium can also cause premature greying). Use Schwabe's Arnica Shampoo and Hair Growth Oil. Revert.
