Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

I am 22years old man. Iam experiencing difficulties with my joints. Pain and tick tick sound while rotating shoulders. And also feeling my left knee getting loosed?

Hope you did not have injury due to accident or fall. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. In case it continues consult a acupuncture/acupressure dr. In your place. Also take calcium tablets for a limited period 2 months.

You may have anemia and need a blood test/ You also need to test for hypothyroidism. Take good balanced diet and drink lot of water. Eat multivitamins.

I am 38 year old male, weight 80 kg, height 180 cm. I have pain in lower waist and buttocks and occasionly numbness in left legs like thigh and toe. (numbness occures more when there was irrection in genetal part) pleaseplease suggest me what is the problem and and what should I do?

First of all your back posture may not b correct. If u r working and have a long sitting job, it is possible. secondly, it can b due to some degeneration in your lower back, due to which nerve compression can b there. see some near by physiotherapist asap. Thank you.

The problem started when I started gym. I got back pain but I thought it was normal. I went to so many doctors and I have tried everything. Having massage, physiotherapy, painkillers etc. I guess I have sciatic nerve. Whenever I sleep or rest on my bed the nerve tingles or vibrates in my butt area and goes till my feet in the left leg. Its been 3 years. I cannot sit for long hours I cannot run for long time. The pain gets worse when I get my periods. Sometimes my leg gets little numb. I am sick of having it please suggest me some treatment which will help me to get rid of it completely and forever. I want to start gym and exercising but it just makes everything worse. If it has to be operated I am okay with that. I am suffering from it from 3 years and now the tingling and vibration has little bit started on my right side too. I am very much concerned now. Please suggest me what to do and where to go.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

You need to correct your posture Avoid being in one position for long duration. Use thin pillow while sleeping. Avoid too much neck bending while working. Whenever sitting, ensure your back is straight, keep a cusion behind you lower back (lumbar region). Shoulder pain can be due to pain radiating from neck. Avoid slouched posture Apply hot fermentation at times when pain occurs & do self stretching of your body

Hello lybrate user, get your x-ray of the knee joint in standing weight bearing position in anteroposterior and lateral projections. Mostly it is has osteoarthritis of the knee joint wherein the articular cartilage of the joint gets progressively degenerative. Common in old age and indian population who use indian toilets and squat use knee caps regular exercise hot water bag some natural medicines x-ray and her level of discomfort will dictate the management plan.
