Hi, start giving your baby milk formula specially meant for them (nestle's lactogen or nan pro), initially give once day daily then increase the no. Of frequency gradually to 2-3 times a day as after 6 months onwards, you can introduce liquid food like'daal ka paani'chaawal ka paani' ********consult your gynaecologist or paediatrician*******

Tips For Acute Gastritis

Tips For Acute Gastritis

Inflammation of the stomach is also known as acute gastritis. In this article, you will find 10 natural tips to cure acute gastritis.

Possible causes and habits that could lead to acute gastritis include: medications like aspirin and some pain medicines that can harm the lining and walls of the stomach; the excessive consumption of alcohol; drinking alcohol, coffee, tea, and lemon juice on an empty stomach; and eating hot foods.

When hot foods enter into injured areas of the stomach, the stomach lining and the interior walls slow or stop altogether the flow of blood in the stomach walls, causing reddening, irritation, and in some cases bleeding. All of this can gradually lead to chronic ulcers. An increase of uric acid in the blood can also be the cause of acute gastritis. Some remedies for the treatment of acute gastritis may be very useful in place of using higher-strength medications.

Symptoms of acute gastritis

Lack of the feeling of hunger, especially breakfast.

Vomiting and occasionally blood in the vomit or the stool.

Burning feeling in the stomach.

Feeling of pain the stomach and in the area of the ribs.

Weakness.

Low blood count or hemoglobin levels.

The 10 top tips for gastritis

Honey
Eating bee honey regularly before meals helps fortify the walls of the stomach.

Add 2 tablespoons of bee honey to warm water and drink daily on an empty stomach. It will reduce the acidity of the stomach and the walls will heal themselves naturally.

Put 1 tablespoon of olive oil into a cup of hot or warm milk and take early each morning to cure the stomach of irritation, and this is the best treatment for gastritis.

Consume a quarter teaspoon of kalonji seeds to cure the stomach and treat acute gastritis. Eat black onion seeds to continually eliminate ulcers as well as stomach cancer.

Eating oatmeal with honey every day for breakfast is very beneficial for curing acute gastritis and ulcers.

Add 2-3 tablespoons of psyllium (ispaghol) to 1 cup of yogurt and add 1 banana. Eat every day a half an hour before breakfast. It is very beneficial for stomach health.

Put dried papaya seeds in the sun and crush them daily into a powder, and put it over slices of pineapple and eat every day on an empty stomach.

Take green cardamom seeds, fennel seeds, and cinnamon in equal portions and fry in a dry pan for only 20-30 seconds. Crush them all and eat a half a teaspoon with each meal.

Eat between 2-3 teaspoons of black salt a day after each meal for 1-2 months to eliminate every cause of gastritis and ulcers.

Press 2 or 3 tablespoons of fresh parsley every day to make a juice and add a pinch of black salt and black powdered pepper. Drink daily, 3 times a day. This will also improve your appetite.
Ginger is the best herb for curing the stomach. Mix ginger and onion juice in equal parts and drink every day, twice a day to alleviate inflammation, nausea, and stomach irritation.

Avoid using any cough syrup without doctor advice because dosage of any drug may be different for different weight and symptoms. You can best use steam inhalation for your child at home. Protect your child from cold.

Hello doctor. I have a healthy three month old baby girl. 3 days a go a relative of mine who only saw her for a minute kissed her on her cheek the same person is now diagnosed with meningitis should I be worried she got infected? There was no saliva when he kissed her.

Hello doctor.
I have a healthy three month old baby girl. 3 days a go a relative of mine who only saw her for a minut...
Kissing in the cheek once is unlikely to infect your baby with the germ. Sneezing. Cough and prolonged contact usually transmit the organism. But still there is a remote possibility of transmission of the infection. So you monitor the baby any sign of infection. The same organism may cause other disease also.

Use of stimulant decreases the symptoms to a much good effect and if we don't give stimulant medication there will be more of conduct disorder and progress in disease and for side effects we have to monitor the person and advice them accordingly and spine block injection is effective for six months and hashimoto's thyroiditis is an auto immune disease where we can control it with medication but not cure it completely.

If she had been dry for 2-3 years after age of 3 years, take it easy and don't make her conscious or scold her. Get her urinated before retiring at about 10 O' clock. Otherwise get her properly checked.

He does not need any medicines at all.Correct councelling is needed to manage his behaviour disorder. To begin with,do not get disturbed ,only you can correct his behaviour, Accept & appreciate all good done by him. Never scold or slap for wrong doings but never accept his undue demands.Offer him foods at 2-3 hours but never force even he does not eat for a day.Talk to him without any prejudice.Soon he realises that his undue demands will not be fulfilled & appreciated for good .

My daughter is 6 years old she has night bed wetting problem please tell me remedy.

MD - Paediatrics, MBBS
Pediatrician, Ghaziabad
Bed wetting can persist in some children for a long time. You have to make changes in her routine. There should be atleast 2-3 hour gap between dinner and bedtime. Do not give any fluids before bedtime. Time when she wets the bed (it usually occurs at a more or less fixed time after sleep), then wake her up just before that time to go the toilet. These simple steps usually help. Follow them and wait.

First precaution include burping after each feed and holding upright for sometime, second is do demand feeding as overfeeding may be the concern. If continues then see your paediatrician to start medicine for the same to control that possible reflux. Tc.

Tips for Parents to Deal with Autistic Children

The moment when you learn about your child being autistic can be a life changing moment for you. You might feel all the dreams and aspirations which you built around your child come crashing down on a pile of zilch. However, recent developments in this field show that you can certainly take steps to make your child more comfortable and bond well with them.

Autism related disorder usually begin before the age of 3, when the child starts encountering problems in communication and social interaction. This article tries to help you find a way to deal with an autistic child:

  1. Learn more about autism: Learn about autism as much as you can; a broad understanding of the causes and symptoms of the disorder can help you understand your child better. This will also enable you to respond to your child’s needs better, both physical and psychological.
  2. Build a strong support system: It is difficult to parent a child who is suffering from autism. Communicating and interacting with your child might be extremely difficult and problematic. In order to overcome this stress, you should have a strong support network, a support network from which you can draw your strength and logic once you have to take major life decisions for your child.
  3. Review your treatment options: It is advisable to start treatment immediately after the diagnosis is done. Early treatment can help better your child’s cognitive skills that can help him/her cope better with the surroundings and circumstances. The treatment options include behavioral training whereby self-help or social skills training is used to work on the child’s communication skills and behavior. Specialized therapy is another option whereby the therapies are directed at a particular aspect of the child, primarily speech or physical functioning.
  4. Focus on your child’s diet: Diet plays an important role in the regularization of any disease. Even in case of autism, deficiency of certain vitamins or minerals makes it very important to analyze the diet and then assess it. Consult with the doctor before making any modification to the child’s diet.
  5. Behavioral training: Behavioral training is an aspect of autism treatment that allows the child to adapt to various conditions. Before a child undergoes behavioral training, it is advised to assess his/her behavior, functional abilities and the environment your child belongs to. The objective of this therapy or training is to induce desired behavior and get rid of the undesirable ones. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a psychiatrist and ask a free question.

Stomach Ache in Kids - 7 Causes Behind It!

Diploma in Child Health (DCH), MBBS
Pediatrician, Noida
Stomach Ache in Kids - 7 Causes Behind It!

Stomach aches or abdominal pains are one of the most frequently reported health complaints faced by children. Children below the age of twelve are known to suffer from recurrent stomach pain. While pains such as these lead to momentary discomfiture, they also lay the path for graver worries if neglected for too long. Your child may feel sick and bunk school for two days; rest and home care can restore his or her health, but that in no way, is the best suited way of dealing with the situation. If tummy aches resurface over a certain period of time, parents should be cautious enough to look for the root cause and should try to eliminate it accordingly.

Widely noticed causes of stomach aches in children:

  1. Unhygienic food can affect the child’s digestive system.
  2. Intolerance to a certain food item should not be overlooked.
  3. Perpetual anxiety can make the tummy twist and turn.
  4. Urinary Tract Infections can also lead to acute abdominal pain.
  5. Serious factors such as gallstones or appendicitis could also be present. Immediate expert consultation is advised in such a case.
  6. Caffeine and packaged soft drinks can be harmful.
  7. Butter, ghee and other greasy products can trigger tummy aches.

Ways to treat tummy aches in children:

  1. Keep children away from gas producing food items: Food that is hard to digest should be avoided. Lentil soup or dal should only be consumed in limited amounts to prevent the formation of gas. Don’t let your child have too many nuts regularly.
  2. Keep them hydrated: Fluid intake should be monitored. A child should drink at least six to seven glasses of water per day. Fruit juices or soups can also be given to them alongside main meals. This helps digestion.
  3. Do not stack up food in one go: Eating a lot in one meal is a bad way of satisfying hunger. Have smaller meals in more numbers. Six to eight meals will keep your child full and will also eliminate chances of acid reflux which happens either due to an empty stomach or too much piling up of greasy food.
  4. Timely check - up with the doctor: If tummy aches refuse to go away, take your child to a doctor for a thorough check- up. Administer medicines as prescribed by the physician.
