I am a 25yr old male, I suffer sinusitis often. I take medications too but only for a while it subsides. Advice me best doctor and medication.

DAA, DNB
Pulmonologist, Bangalore
Hi. I understand your concerns. Sinusitis can also be due to allergy. Best treatment option being steam inhalation and saline nasal douches. You will benefit from intranasal corticosteroids and anti allergy medicine if it is allergic. Consult a pulmonologist /allergist for the same. Hope your questions were answered. Thanks.

My wife had cold and then she recovered but now her right ear has blocked. Any suggestions?

My wife had cold and then she recovered but now her right ear has blocked. Any suggestions?
Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C). Fever serves as one of the body's natural defenses against bacteria and viruses which cannot live at a higher temperatures..Also, the body's defense mechanisms seem to work more efficiently at a higher temperature -Fevers of 104 F (40 C) or more may be dangerous and demand immediate treatment The following medications may be used at home for mild fever : -Acetaminophen (dolo-650 mg) twice or thrice can be used to lower a fever . Aspirin should not be used in children during a viral illness. -Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes and donot overdress. Overdressing can cause the temperature to rise further. -Tepid water (85 F [30 C]) baths may help bring down a fever -The body should be cooled with a wet sponge. -Fever can cause dehydration.Drink plenty of fluids.Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich ones like mausami,Amla juice etc. -Take light and easily digestible home cooked meals .avoid outside food -Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water especially before meals, or after returning from a public places or using public transport. -Further therapy depends on the cause of fever like urinary infection/typhoid or malaria/dengue infection and the accompanying symptoms that need to be investigated and treated accordingly

Don't concentrate on the size of the nose and increase your self confidence and live with it or you can get it operated for cosmetic purposes

Hi Hello  Regular cold may be due to Allergies or due to decreased immunity repeated episodes of viral infection.. *Steam inhalation  twice a day. *Have fruits 5 portions  every day  *A course of vitamin B complex and vitamin C to improve  immunity. *To avoid allergic stimuli like dust, pollens. *Steroid nasal  sprays may be needed for a prolonged duration. Did you have a nasal endoscopy or CT PNS done. If not you can do it. If you already have the reports, share them so that I can help you better.

True. For ear infection we need higher doses for longer duration to cover up deep seated infection & avoid further complications. Your faith in medicine & trust in doctor will boost your recovery.

I am suffering from tonsils and they pain really bad, my age is 19 and I'm drinking warm water but it can't help. What should I do?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils most commonly caused by viral or bacterial infection. Tonsillitis is common, especially in children. The condition can occur occasionally or recur frequently. Under normal circumstances, as viruses and bacteria enter the body through the nose and mouth, they are filtered in the tonsils. Within the tonsils, white blood cells of the immune system destroy the viruses or bacteria by producing inflammation which also lead to fever. The infection may also be present in the throat and surrounding areas, causing inflammation of the pharynx. Medication: With the help of homoeopathic medication, the surgery can be avoided! Take Schwabe’s Alpha-Tons/ thrice a day daily for 4 weeks. Warm salt water gargle is recommended. Cover your throat with a stole.
