I have suffered knee injury 1year before. They have provided me leg cast after removal and having physiotherapy of 6months. Now I can walk, jump run. But still their is swelling in my knee?

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

bandage is not of any use for fractures. It depends on which bone is fractured - if its toe fractures then you dont need any thing other than ice and elevation - but if its any other fracture then you need a proper plaster cast

Reg...
Ya. But for few period of time, treatment will be continued, either it may be for 6 months or one year or more. It totally depends on how patient is behaving & regular in medications & precautions. There are some precautionary measures like: don't go in sun, avoid dark chocolates, coffee & tea, avoid noise.

I had a back pain. From 1 week. Even I can not sleep in nights. What can I do to get relief from this?
Do hot fomentation twice daily. Postural correction- always sit with a small pillow at your low back. Sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises like bridging and bhujang asana x twice daily. Sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees or on your sides with a pillow between your knees. And get vit d levels checked. Go for regular walks follow 30-30 rule when at work. After every 30 min of work. Do 30 sec of stretching or stand and walk a bit.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Hello start physiotherapy treatment and learn posture care/ spine exercise. Meanwhile take few precautions. 1) take hot water fomentation for 20 min. At every 3hrs. Interval. 2) do not lift heavy weights or twist your spine 3) do not wear high heals do not ignore your back pain and do reply for private consultation and detailed treatment plan. Best wishes.

Hand exercise dear u can do it easly…………1,,,,Pinch Strengthener This exercise helps strengthen the muscles of your fingers and thumb. It can help you turn keys, open food packages, and use the gas pump more easily. • Pinch a soft foam ball or some putty between the tips of your fingers and your thumb. • Hold for 30 to 60 seconds. • Repeat 10 to 15 times on both hands. Do this exercise two to three times a week, but rest your hands for 48 hours in between sessions. Don't do this exercise if your thumb joint is damage Finger Lift Use this exercise to help increase the range of motion and flexibility in your fingers. • Place your hand flat, palm down, on a table or other surface. • Gently lift one finger at a time off of the table and then lower it. • You can also lift all your fingers and thumb at once, and then lower. • Repeat eight to 12 times on each han Thumb Extension Strengthening the muscles of your thumbs can help you grab and lift heavy things like cans and bottles. • Put your hand flat on a table. Wrap a rubber band around your hand at the base of your finger joints. • Gently move your thumb away from your fingers as far as you can. • Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and release. • Repeat 10 to 15 times with both hands. You can do this exercise two to three times a week, but rest your hands for 48 hours in between sessions. Thumb Touch This exercise helps increase the range of motion in your thumbs, which helps with activities like picking up your toothbrush, fork and spoon, and pens when you write. • Hold your hand out in front of you, with your wrist straight. • Gently touch your thumb to each of your four fingertips, one at a time, making the shape of an "O." • Hold each stretch for 30 to 60 seconds. Knee replacement surgery is known as total knee replacement or unicondylar knee replacement depending upon how much of knee is replaced. It is definitely covered by insurance but it depends upon which type of health insurance you have chosen.

My age is 42, I play badminton but I get elbow joint pain if I play continous for 5 to 6days. after some days rest it gets okay. Can I have a permanant solution.

Its possible that you may be having" tennis elbow" which occurs due to repeated pull over a muscle attachment (common extensor origin). I would suggest that you apply warm water and pain relieving gel over the elbow where it pains. Physiotherapy will also help. Nowadays tennis elbow brace is available in the market which help in reducing stress over the elbow if the pain keeps getting back consult an orthopedist.

Is there any white discharge or not. If yes then you hv to be taken treatment for this ailment. If not then check your calcium and vitamin d3 then after medication will be prescribed accordingly. For a time being you can apply voveron gel and hot n dry fomentation twice a day. Avoidance to forward bending, cross leg sitting, heavy weight lifting. Jerk movements etc.
