In my opinion you should take minimum of 2 zoladex if the endometriosis is moderate. Wait for menses and then start treatment.

Dear Lybrate user, Anxiety disorders are a category of mental disorders characterized by feelings of anxiety and fear, where anxiety is a worry about future events and fear is a reaction to current events. These feelings may cause physical symptoms, such as a racing heart and shakiness. There are a number of anxiety disorders: including generalized anxiety disorder, a specific phobia, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, and panic disorder among others. While each has its own characteristics and symptoms, they all include symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety medicines alone cannot cure anxiety disorders mainly because medicines do not alter behavior. Behavior change and Continuous practice of the changed behavior cure anxiety. I suggest anxiety education, progressive counseling and progressive psychotherapy. I assure you complete cure. I need to know more about your anxiety so that I will be able to diagnose it properly and provide you tips to overcome and manage your anxiety. Take care.

Hello, She is not pregnant and the delay can be stress induced. So she should ideally wait for at least 15 days post missed menses to allow menses to resume naturally and if they do not then she can opt for a withdrawal bleed with progesterones.

Hello- Your weight gain is due to PCOS. According to ayurveda there is a Fat (meda dhatu) and blood (rakta dhatu) symbiosis in the body, whenever the patient indulge in practices like irregular and unhealthy diet(fast food etc.) and irregular daily schedule(late night workout ,sleeping in day time etc.) this symbiosis gets disturbed and body start making fat in excess thus minimizing the production of blood in proper quantity and quality. This is the reason why diseases like thyroid and PCOS, menopausal female etc. develops weight gain with reduced blood levels. In your case only weight loss treatment will not be beneficial for you, or you have to look out for both the aspects. Follow this ayurvedic routine and treatment to cure both weight gain and PCOS- a) Tab Kuberaksha vati 1 tab twice daily. B) Tab Hyponid 1 tab thrice daily. C) Do Basti treatment by nearby ayurvedic doctor (it is a very effective treatment in ayurveda for pcod). D) Maintain proper eating routine, avoid fast foods and spicy diet.

Infertility since 1 year. Mild PCOS is there. Main complaint is irregular menses.
The cause of polycystic ovary syndrome isn't well understood, but may involve a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Symptoms include menstrual irregularity, excess hair growth, acne and obesity. Treatments include birth control pills to regularise periods, medication called metformin to prevent diabetes, statins to control high cholesterol, hormones to increase fertility and procedures to remove excess hair.

Cerebral Palsy And Occupational Therapy

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT), Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT)
Occupational Therapist, Gurgaon
Cerebral Palsy And Occupational Therapy

Cerebral palsy and occupational therapy

In order to recover the skills that are required for leading an independent and a satisfying life after any injury or disease, an occupational therapist is required. The word occupation refers to the tasks which one has to perform everyday not to one’s profession. Muscle and joint coordination issues can be fixed with the help of occupational therapy in case if kids .These include the daily activities like eating, brushing using the toilet. With the help of OT your cognitive and social abilities and even your motor skills will improve at a very good rate.

How is this beneficial for children with cerebral palsy?

Occupational therapy will be helpful to the children who are specially suffering from cerebral palsy. These benefits includes:

- It will increase the chances of making your child more independent.
- It will boost their ability to play as well as to learn.
- The self esteem and the confidence of your child will readily increase.
- They’ll have a sense of accomplishment.
- Their quality of life will improve as well.
- This is also beneficial for the parents as well. It will reduce your stress and will provide you with a sense of security.

What to expect?

Occupational therapy is different for different children who have cerebral palsy. It depends on one’s physical, intellectual and social emotional abilities .The first session is basically done for evaluation where your child’s fine motor and will be observed how your child responds to touch or any kind of movement. The parents are also interviewed in order to find out about the strengths and the weaknesses of your child. For children with cerebral palsy, a revaluation should be done in every 7-8 months in order to see the progress and change the treatment plan accordingly as per the improvement .The operational therapist will use some specific techniques which will help your child to improve very quickly and reach their destination.

These techniques are :

Paediatric constraint induced Movement therapy: This therapy helps your child to move the weaker parts of the body by restraining the stronger counterpart. If you child has a difficulty in moving one of the arms then the stronger arm will be restrained and the weaker arm will be trained in order to gain the strength.

Sensory integration therapy: This type of therapy will help your child to improve the ability bro receive , interpret and act on the information and situations that comes in your child’s brain with the help of sensory receptors .

Occupational therapy has been a very important part in improving the physical and the mental discomfort faced by your child when he or she is suffering from cerebral palsy. The therapist may even provide your child with some gadgets in order to make his /her daily life easier and more independent. This helps your child to improve and gradually get better at it without any sort of negativity. While you’re looking for a OT make sure the person has enough experience and knowledge, just to ensure that your child gets the right treatment.

My wife had an ectopic gestation because of which one fallopian tube had to be cut. What all precautions need to taken to prevent future ectopic pregnancy?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist,
My wife had an ectopic gestation because of which one fallopian tube had to be cut. What all precautions need to take...
Every pregnancy begins at fertilisation which happens in fallopian tubes (ft), after fertilisation the ba of cells goes to the uterine cavity and stays there for 8m. So after ectopic when one tube is removed, the chances of ectopic happenning in 2nd tube are high but its not the fonality of all pregnancies. If the fertilised egg makes it to the uterine cavity you can skip having tubal pregnancy but whether this will happen or not will be decided when next fertilisation happens in the remaining tube. You can seek help of local gynec to asses your case. The gynec may ask for hsg to find out patency in remaoning tube. If patent, and caliber is good ectopic may not happen. But if caliber is small ectopic may occur again the only way to avoid it is by doing ivf (test tube baby)
