A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling and / or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better.

Hello, you can apply baking soda over it or do baking soda in water mouth rinses. This will help to heal your ulcers. If they still persist, you need to consult a physician and get your vitamin B levels checked. If required take supplements for it.

Minolast function is entirely different from curing mouth ulcers, so you should not take it. Get yourself examined by general physician because mouth ulcers are due to many reasons apart from deficiency of vitamins.

Hello lybrate-user Discoloration (yellow/brown patches) on teeth can be due to a variety of reasons. Broadly they are categorized as Extrinsic & Intrinsic causes. Discolouration of teeth occurring after the eruption of teeth due to the use of tobacco products, pan, tea-coffee etc. Are called as “Extrinsic stains” and they can easily be removed by the dentist. However some stains which are present on the tooth since its eruption in the mouth and called as “Intrinsic stains” cannot be removed from the tooth surface. In our country it is commonly seen in localities with high fluoride content in water. However the way to get over the problem is to either go for Laminates or undergo Crowning of the tooth. Please consult your dentist for proper advice.

Cause of discoloration ? Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. The type of treatment you have for toothache /sensitivity/swelling will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed. What are the side of removal molar teeth?
I have decayed teeth which causes pain sometimes.
There is no side effects of removing molar teeth. But first you should ask your dentist that whether it can be saved by doing RCT and capping or not. If not then you can go for removal. Its a matter of 3 days of discomfort for which you will have to take painkillers and not chew food on the side of removal for 3-4 days. After that it will be fine.

Hi you have gum disease known as gingivitis with plaque deposition. You need to go for cleaning and scaling. Once your plaque will be removed gums inflammation will subside. And teeth will be strong again.

I have rct of my tooth 4 year ago. But now mild pain start in that tooth. Not continuously but when I chew something....
Hello lybrate-user, your case appears to be that of a failed root canal treatment (rct). Ideally, in an rct-treated tooth, there is no vital tissue or nerve that can cause pain. However, in your case, it seems as if the procedure was not done properly. Taking pain killers will only provide transient relief. Most likely, you will be required to undergo a re-rct to get permanent riddance from this problem. Before initiating the re-rct, however, you will be required to take a 3-day course of medication.
