My wife suffers from sudden body pain from timetotime and with the intake of painkiller it goes away. Also she has itching in her legs. Is it symptom of uric acid? What should I do?

I'm having swollen lymph nodes 4,5 inches below the back of ears on both sides, I'm not aware how long it is but noticed 2 month and ago, Lt node is painful to touch, no pain in Rt, itching pt in nape of neck some eruptions appear on and off I'm having headlice for so many years ,sometimes I feel pain in both axillary nodes also please answer if it it could be due to lice infestation or anything serious?

Yes it might be due to head lice. Or it may be due to some other acute underlying infections in other part of head & neck. First you get rid of these lice by applying the anti-lice medicines in the nearby medical store. After that if symptoms still persists then call me back or chat withme.

Hello, as you are giving history of fall from height, kindly tell me you are having any symptom like vomiting/ headache/ any Bleeding episode also? Neck Pain may be due to ant strain due to fall You can take Tablet Paracetamol 500 mg after food as and when required for Neck pain more than 99 f (maximum 3 tablets with gap of 8 hr can be taken in a day) for 3 days you need to consult orthopedician for further evaluation

Body pain can be due to weakness or exertion. Take healthy diet containing all green leafy veges and fresh fruits. Include salad also. Drink plenty of water. Take all dairy products. Its good for bones. Eat nuts daily. Its rich in fiber and omega 3 and gives you lots of energy. Avoid stress and anger. Start light walk or yoga. It will help you and makes you fresh. All these will help you.

Hello lybrate user...High Thyroid Stimulating Hormone condition is seen in Hypothyroidism and it presents with generalised body weakness and proximal muscle weakness with difficulty in climbing stairs or getting up from squatting position etc. Also may present with depression and can be easily treated by thyroxine supplementation. In initial practicing of Yoga or any spcfc exervcises, the body pains, muscular pains are commn..for that u need not to take any pain killers unless if its very sever. Try to take more water, replace with minerals.. coconut water, spcfc electrolyte water[available in medical shops.. as sachets.. u can mix it with water &drink to compensate the deficiency or loss of minerals due to exercises]

What you must know about body ache

Affecting your entire body, body ache is usually an indicator of a condition that requires your attention for the pain to stop or a reaction of your body's immune system to an infection. The causes of body ache can be any one of these:

  •   an increase in your body's lactic acid as a result of overused muscles (that you normally experience when you perform strenuous exercises) leads to body aches that are not severe but temporary in nature.
  •   temporary body aches can also occur if you suffer from flu caused by the influenza virus and other medical conditions like fever and viral infections, among others.
  •   a cause of body aches can be the presence of a serious condition such as Lyme disease or pneumonia that brings about major infection affecting your entire body.
  •   inflammation of body cells or damage to your body's nervous system in the form of chronic ailments like autoimmune diseases and psychiatric problems can also cause pains and aches to develop all over the body.

What can you do to manage it?

There are simple ways that you can employ to relieve your body aches based on the root cause and these are:

  •   reducing your stress levels can also help in effectively lowering the instances of body ache. From sleeping on time to meditating for about 20 minutes a day can help in lowering stress.

1) do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min. Afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) start natural calcium supplement. 3) do regular stretching exercise 4) in yoga do bhujangasan, halasan & suryanamaskar. Life-style correction 1) correct your sitting posture. 2) take small pillow or back rest for lower back. 3) foot should rest to floor easily. 4) take small break after 1 hr & walk few steps. 5) do neck & upper back extension.
