Dear Lybrate User, *Any kind of physical trauma—surgery, a car accident, or a severe illness, even the flu—can cause temporary hair loss. *Pregnancy is one example of the type of physical stress that can cause hair loss (that and hormones). *Overdoing vitamin A-containing supplements or medications can trigger hair loss. *If you don't get enough protein in your diet, your body may ration protein by shutting down hair growth. *caused by a combo of genes and male sex hormones, usually follows a classic pattern in which the hair recedes at the temples, leaving an M-shaped hairline. *Heredity :“If you come from a family where women started to have hair loss at a certain age, then you might be more prone to it, *Emotional stress is less likely to cause hair loss than physical stress, but it can happen, for instance, in the case of divorce, after the death of a loved one, or while caring for an aging parent. More often, though, emotional stress won't actually precipitate the hair loss. It will exacerbate a problem that's already there. *Almost one in 10 women aged 20 through 49 suffers from anemia due to an iron deficiency (the most common type of anemia), which is an easily fixable cause of hair loss.

Hi doctor. I have oily face nd I wanna fairness. Can you suggest what I have to do.

Hi doctor. I have oily face nd I wanna fairness. Can you suggest what I have to do.
You can wash the face twice in a day with a mild soap (or cleanser). Rest of the times simply use cold water. The oil secretion protects your skin, so need not worry. Do not scrub the skin hard as it will only make the skin dry and rough. The skin colour is determined by genetics, so accept the skin as it is. Keeping it healthy and well toned is in your hands. Eat healthy food with lots of fruits and vegetables. Exercise daily and your skin will glow due to good oxigenation.

Basically, strands of hair turn white or gray due to low amounts of melanin, the pigment that gives your hair its natural color. The melanocyte activity slows down with age and the body gradually stops producing melanin. Instead of covering those gray strands with commercial and chemical-laden hair colors, try some natural home remedies. In addition, eat a healthy and nutritious diet. Deficiency of certain vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B, iron, copper, and iodine can contribute to this problem. You may use certain home remedies like dry amla powder, henna, curry leaves mixed with coconut oil.Start taking vitamin supplements to prevent further greying.
