Dear lybrate user, chances of pregnancy are negligible in your case. One can know about presence of pregnancy by doing urine pregnancy test if she misses her menstrual period. It can be detected earlier by doing a blood test.

Since the vagina is tight, initially some amount of pain is expected in intercourse. Also due to rupture of the hymen, some amount of bleeding will be there.

Hello. Poly cystic ovarian disease means that there are fluid filled bags/ cysts in the ovary. In this condition, the patient has symptoms like putting on weight (which may explain" increase in stomach circumference"), pimples, increased facial hair, etc. The problem really comes up when the couple is trying to have a baby as the patient has irregular periods. So try and lose weight by cutting down on carbohydrates and regular exercise. For medical treatment you need an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and you need to consult a gynecologist. Hope this helps.

Dear patient, you need to control your further weight gain first for which you must do 40 mins of brisk walking daily (morning walk or evening walk before dinner) and do following diet control. Along with this homeopathic medications can help you cure this problem from root if taken regularly with detailed case taking, you can consult privately for the same with all your reports till now DO'S AND DONT'S: Avoid a sedentary life. Regular and moderate exercises daily, even for ten minutes will go a long way. Daily fast walking for 45 minutes is helpful to burn calories. Avoid a high fatty diet like cakes, biscuits, candies, chocolates, butter, cheese and sugar. Avoid fried and oily food Do not over-eat. Instead eat frequent small meals, rather than infrequent large meals with unhealthy snacks in between. Eat 3 to 4 moderate meals a day with your main meal in the middle of the day. Eat slowly. Not only will your meal last longer but it will also feel more substantial. Avoid smoking and alcohol as it predisposes a person towards obesity. Jogging uses about 400 calories per hour. Swimming burns upto 500 calories per hour and playing a game like squash could burn upto 650 calories per hour. Brisk walking at a pace of 120 steps per minute not only helps you to lose weight but also gives your heart and lungs a workout at the same time. DAILY CALORIE REQUIREMENTS: Men with inactive lifestyle : 2400 - 2500 cals Men with active lifestyle : 2800 - 3000cals Men with very active lifestyle : 3400 - 3500 cals Women with inactive lifestyle: 1900 cals Women with active lifestyle: 2150 cals Women with very active lifestyle: 2500 cals DIET CHART: Early morning: (6-7 am) : ? 1-2 glasses of Warm water with the some freshly squeezed lemon juice and after 15-20 mins you can have your morning tea. (preferably green tea) Breakfast: (9-10 am): Poha/upma/brown bread vegetable sandwhich/cornflakes with 1 bowl of seasonal fruits (avoid butter in sandwhich and excessive intake of bananas and chickoo) Lunch: (1-2 pm): it is better to start lunch with a small quantity of salad which can have sprouts into it. It helps your stomach to fill up enough so that you don?t bump into extra rotis when more hungry. It can be followed by 2 rotis, plate of cooked vegetables and 1 cup of dal. You can have 1 small cup of curd of skimmed milk or 1-2 glass of buttermilk. Evening snack: (5-6 pm): 1 cup tea with light snack of 2-3 wheat/oats biscuits. Dinner: 2 rotis (without ghee) with vegetables and brown rice if you want for 2 times/week in small quantities. Avoid curd at night as it causes constipation.

Foods For Hypothyroidism

1. Iodine Rich Foods
Make sure that you consume a diet that is rich in iodine. Some of the most common foods that you can think about that is rich in iodine are:
• Seaweeds and sea foods
• Salt water fish
• Nori rolls
• Sushi
Be certain to use iodized salt while preparing food as it is found to be very effective for hypothyroidism.

2. Bananas
One of the most commonly found fruits are bananas. Try to include bananas in your daily diet as it is a good food for hypothyroidism.
• Take at least two to three bananas a day. Make sure that you eat ripe bananas.
• You can also at times consume a banana milkshake that is prepared with low fat or skimmed milk.

3. Water
One of the best known remedies to treat all kinds of disorders as well as hypothyroidism is pure drinking water.
• Make sure that you drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water a day.
• Water will help to flush out all toxins in your body.
• It will also prevent you from getting dehydrated so that your body does not store more fat and hence you do not gain excess weight.

4. Eating More Fruits And Vegetables
Try to include more fruits and vegetables in your diet. This will help you to stay healthy and is highly recommended to prevent hypothyroidism.
• It would be better for you to choose a complete veg. meal plan full of greens and vegetables one or two days in a week.
• You also need to follow a strict fruit plan diet for a day in a week to fight hypothyroidism.

5. Selenium Rich Foods
Going for foods that are rich in selenium will help in fighting hypothyroidism.
• Make sure to make onions and dairy products as part of your daily diet.
• You also need to occasionally include chicken, salmon, tuna and meat in your daily diet. Try to use one product a day.
• It is important for you to use a lot of garlic in your food preparation.
• Brazil nuts as well as whole unrefined grains also help in fighting hypothyroidism and you need to take them at least once a week.

6. High Fiber Diet
It is important for you to take a high fiber diet so that you do not gain weight that easily and this will help to prevent hypothyroidism.
• Add beans, oatmeal and whole wheat to your daily diet to improve your bowel movement and to reduce the cholesterol levels in your body.
• Make sure that you only consume brown rice and not white rice in any form when you suffer from hypothyroidism.

7. Green Tea
One of the best foods known to treat hypothyroidism is green tea. It has antioxidants and will help in reducing body weight.
• It is ideal for you to include green tea in your daily diet and try to skip other drinks like coffee and black tea.
• It would be ideal for you to consume thee to four cups of hot green tea to increase body metabolism and to burn fat.

8. Tyrosine Rich Foods
One of the best methods to increase the production of thyroid hormones in your body is to consume foods that are rich in tyrosine.
• Fish
• Lentils
• Lean meat
• Soy products
• Almonds
• Bananas
• Avocados

9. Coconut Oil
Take coconut oil cooked food will help in improving the production of thyroid hormone and will help in preventing hypothyroidism.
• Add a tablespoon of coconut oil in your diet every day.
• It helps in increasing metabolism and is also an emery booster.
• Make sure that you consume it in moderation depending on your age and lifestyle and structure of your body.

10. Vitamin A, Zinc And Copper Foods

It is ideal for you to consume Vitamin A, zinc and copper rich foods in order to increase the production of thyroid hormones in your body.

It looks low. Please repeat after 48 hours to know whether there is an increase. Do an ultrasound and correlate. Low hcg indicates either late conception, or abnormal intra uterine pregnancy or pregnancy in the tubes. Please check with your gynaecologist.

Home remedies for morning sickness pregnancy


1. Put one or two lemon slices in the water and drink it. It helps to reduce vomiting sensation.

2. Make powder out of ginger root and add three teaspoons of it to boiled water. Now let the become cool. Sip this water throughout the day.

3. Chew on anise or fennel seeds, which are best to soothe upset stomach.

4. Drink a glass of water every hour can reduce morning sickness.

5. Drinking peppermint tea in the morning also relieves from morning sickness.

6. Raspberry leaf tea is another way to fight the morning sickness. It's safe to take 1.5 to 2.4g of tea leaf per day.

7. Take a glass of cool water and mix a tablespoon each of honey and apple cider vinegar to it. Drinking this mixture daily in morning, is an effective remedy for morning sickness.

8. Prepare a mixture of 1 teaspoon of fresh limejuice, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger juice, 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon mint juice. Consume this mixture 3 to 4 times daily.

9. Take juice of about 25 fresh curry leaves and mix it with 1 teaspoon of honey and 2 teaspoons of fresh limejuice. Daily take this mixture for 3 to 4 times.

Please note that it has got side-effects such as -- inter-menstrual spotting, nausea, breast tenderness, headaches, weight gain, mood changes, missed periods, decreased libido, vaginal discharge and visual changes with contact lenses, etc. The emergency contraceptive pill is to be used only as an emergency contraceptive method. It should not be used as a regular contraceptive method and is quite unhealthy if taken more than twice a month.
