Ring worm or Tinea corporis is a Fungal infection which thrives in damp, humid, sweaty conditions. After proper examination and diagnosis a short course of oral and topical antifungals will definitely relieve you of your symptoms. It is advisable to treat fungal infections as it may spread and infect others in your contact. Regards

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Kali brom 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2. Berberis aquifolium q (10 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and revert. Facts About Urticaria

Urticaria is an extremely common condition known by the names like nettle rash, hives, wheals etc. It is the most common allergic disorder. Patients react to certain foods, drugs and conditions in an abnormal way.

Urticarial lesions are itchy, red and raised areas of variable sizes, that often arise suddenly and last for few hours. Lesions may appear recurrently for years. In some patients, pressure can cause urticarial lesions. Writing on the skin with a blunt pointing thing can raise the skin within a few minutes in such a way that it can be read- it is called dermatographism. Foods like fish, prawn, crabs etc, drugs like aspirin, penicillin, opioid etc, certain insect bites etc. are known to cause urticaria.

Emotional factors can also precipitate urticaria. Urticaria can be:

  1. Acute- lasting for a while to few days, in response to some food, drug etc
  2. Chronic - recurrent attacks of severe urticaria, disabling the patient. Cause is generally unknown. Emotional factors may play a role.

Homeopathic Approach

Constitutional homeopathic treatment aims at relieving the problem in totality, especially where disease has been troubling for a very long time. As the treatment continues:

  • Frequency
  • Intensity and
  • Duration of the episodes start declining and patient starts experiencing more freedom from disease.

Moreover, patient is able to tolerate food and conditions that use to aggravate him. And the added advantage is that general health also improves. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a homeopath.

Hello lybrate-user, tretin contains a molecule called tretinoin which is photosenstive i. E it can make your skin more prone to sun tanning. Thus its prudent that you apply a good sunscreen like la shield sunscreen gel in morning and afternoon. Meanwhile I would suggest you to discontinue further use of tretin and instead use a detanning cream like melaglow cream twice a day to bring back your original skin tone. Hope the information was useful to you.

Sir, I have many pimples on my face, I used many creams but unable to get rid of it, please help. Thanking in advance.
Hi, Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i. E. Cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Prevention: -Take healthy food only and avoid unhealthy ones (although sebaceous glands are not excretory glands then as well!) as what you eat is reflected on your face! -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension as it encourages secretion of stress hormone in the body as thus affects skin or any other tissue of the body. -Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water in a day. -Take 6-8hrs. Of sound sleep everyday. -Don't use others towels, handkerchief on your face as well as never share yours. -Never ever rub your face as it damages the skin (even towel should be dab on skin softly) and break outs of acne get worsened! -Maintain hygiene, wash your face 2-3times in a day, changes the pillow covers, bed sheet daily, use cotton bed sheet only (try to sleep on your back). Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 30 days.

I want hair fixing so pls guide it's look like d natural hair or like artificial.

MBBS, Diploma in Venerology & Dermatology (DVD)

I want hair fixing so pls guide it's look like d natural hair or like artificial.
Hair weaving refers to the process of adding hair (human or synthetic) to the scalp of the individual. There are different types of hair weaving processes including netting, bonding, tracking, fusion, lace extensions, and more. Hair weaving is preferred by people suffering from common baldness, alopecia areata totalis or traction alopecia. In hair weaving the hair is glued on to the scalp or hairs. As these hairs do not have follicles they do not grow. After some time, they also get damaged. Hair weaving is not a permanent solution to baldness. If you resort to this procedure, you will have to visit hair stylists at least once in six months as the woven hair falls out during this period. Hair weaving is considered as an immediate solution to hair loss, so it has gained a huge popularity among people suffering from both temporary and permanent hair loss. This is mainly because the services are cheaper than hair transplants and are available from non-medical professionals. The quantity of hair woven is also much higher than that achieved in a normal hair transplant. Unlike the hair transplant surgeries, hair weaving gives an instant makeover, so you don’t have to wait for months to get your smart look back. However, hair weaving also has a damaging effect on your scalp. The process uses certain synthetic substances to glue the hair on your scalp. These substances can damage the healthy hair follicles adjacent to the weave. The glue blocks the airways of the hair follicles and suppresses the growth of normal hair. In addition to these, hair weaving also gives rise to skin problems in some individuals. Prolonged use of hair weaving can result in permanent damage to the skin on the scalp and neck area.

If you have menstrual irregularities consult with Gynaecology specialist which would give permanent solution to your problems. Other treatment methods available are Laser Hair removal, Extraction, Topical creams and solutions. .etc. But it is advisable to consult specialist before committing. My skin type is sensitive and oily. I have little marks on face. How to get glowing and clear skin.

MBBS, DNB (Dermatology)
Dermatologist, Mumbai
My skin type is sensitive and oily. I have little marks on face. How to get glowing and clear skin.
A flawless glowing skin is a dream come true. Treat your skin gently and see your dream become a reality. Always apply sunscreen half an hour before going out in the sun. Reapply sunscreen every 3-4 hours till evening. Keep your skin covered in pollution and dust. If you think that applying great products alone will give you glowing skin, then you are wrong. You are what you eat. Nutrition plays an important role to keep you glowing inside out. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains. Try to limit intake of junk, smoke and alcohol as these harm your skin the most. One key point I would emphasise here is to exfoliate your skin regularly. Regular exfoliation can be done both by using natural products like gram flour and yogurt or fullers earth. Using sunscreen after exfoliation is must, so never skip the sunscreen. Exfoliation along with daily moisturisation works wonders on your skin. Pamper your skin once in a week with a good face mask, massage and a relaxing bath. If your skin remains dull even after following all the above advices, then do not hesitate to book an appointment with your nearest dermatologist. An expert advice is always recommended to test the underlying causes of skin dullness and help it improve faster.
