Dear Mr. lybrate-user, From what you have mentioned, it seems that you are suffering from premature ejaculation. It is bound to cause sexual dissatisfaction in you and your wife and I can understand your concern. Premature ejaculation is a treatable condition. You should seek a psychiatric consultation for treatment. Treatment with both medications (like paroxetine or dapoxetine) and behaviour therapy sessions will be helpful. Participation of your wife in the behaviour therapy sessions would be highly helpful. I do hope that you recover soon. Best wishes.

I am 66 years old and I am suffering from ED for about a year now. I take viagra tabs but my problem is that when I shift position to mount the erection is lost. Can you suggest a treatment that I can get a rural area. Additionally,is acupuncture a good option for ED treatment?

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is commonly called impotence. It’s a condition in which a man can’t achieve or maintain an erection during sexual performance. Symptoms may also include reduced sexual desire or libido Exercise regularly. Really. Make it a priority to get outside or go to the gym and walk, run, swim, bike, or do strength training at least 4 times a week. According to a study conducted by Harvard, walking 30 minutes a day caused a 41% drop in risk for ED. Getting regular exercise aids circulation, getting your blood pumping through your entire body. When it's time to sustain an erection, better circulation is key Keep your weight down. Larger waistlines are associated with higher rates of ED.Putting in the work to slim down can lead to huge improvements in the bedroom. Make sure you're eating a healthy diet loaded with plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Quit smoking. Smoking can make ED worse, since it interferes with your circulatory system and is linked to diseases that cause ED. If you're having trouble sustaining an erection, now might be the time to give up the cigarettes for good. Avoid alcohol. Alcohol is another substance that has a huge impact on erections. After a few drinks, many men of all ages find it much more difficult to stay hard. Exercise your pelvic floor. The pelvic floor helps the penis stay hard during erections by pressing on a vein that keeps blood from leaving until the erection is over. Men who exercise their pelvic floor have better results than those who rely solely on lifestyle changes to correct erectile dysfunction Remove stressors from your life. Anxiety is one of the biggest culprits when it comes to ED. If you can find a way to destress, you'll be more likely to maintain erections. Think about the biggest sources of stress in your life right now. What can you do to give yourself a break? Practice mindfulness. Do you find yourself getting distracted by worries instead of living in the moment during sex? Mindfulness is the act of being completely in the present, both physically and mentally. Clear your mind and focus on the sensations your body is feeling during sex Communicate with your partner. Do you feel comfortable and accepted when it comes to your sexual performance? If you're worried about meeting your partner's too-high expectations or living up to some kind of standard, it will be harder to maintain an erection - it's called performance anxiety. If you think your partner's judgement might be hindering your ability to have satisfying sex, you need to communicate your needs and find ways to make your sexual environment more inviting. Learn more about sex. If you have deep-rooted anxieties or guilt related to sex, these negative emotions might be causing your ED. Learning more about sex can be a good way to feel more comfortable with your body and better understand your needs in bed. Read up on sex techniques or take a sex positive workshop as a way to open your mind to new possibilities and increase your comfort level. FOR MEDICATION CONSULT ONLINE IN PRIVATE

You need to take homoepathic treatment along with healthy diet to cure ed and make penis strong. Men are advised to follow a sexual exhaustion diet along with homoepathic treatment to increase their stamina on a regular basis, which includes - foods like fresh fruits, especially strawberries, quince, plums, peaches, mangoes, figs, coconuts, bananas, apples, raspberries, pomegranates, pears, papayas, grapes, dates, cherries and apricots. Vegetables that have an aphrodisiac effect on the body, some of which can include eggplant, cucumbers, celery asparagus, carrots and corn. Other vegetables that are also highly recommended in a diet for sexual erectile dysfunction include garlic, avocadoes, tomato, beans, garlic, onions, parsley, spinach, turnips, soybeans, watercress, peppers and leeks. Nut and seeds, being good sources of protein, help boost sex drive and therefore, pine seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts are all good for sexual health. Apart from following a healthy diet, it is important for people to make certain lifestyle changes too, which can help improve their sexual health. Stress reduction techniques, such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga as also massage therapy are all great for increasing sexual drive and performance. People should make it a point to get an adequate amount of rest, sleep and relaxation, to decrease sexual problems. Leading a sedentary lifestyle is one of the major contributors to sexual problems, in men and women. Hence, getting an adequate amount of exercise each day can be very useful in improving overall health, which also includes sexual health.

Diabetic Foot - How It Can Be Prevented?

MBBS, DNB (General Medicine)

Diabetic Foot - How It Can Be Prevented?

People who suffer from diabetes follow a strict diet and engage in strenuous exercises to stay healthy. However, most people tend to neglect a serious problem that may arise from diabetes. A condition known as diabetes foot may afflict your feet if proper care is not taken once diabetes is diagnosed. In fact, in severe cases, amputation may be the only way to treat diabetes foot.

How you can prevent diabetes foot
Here are some of the preventive measures you should adopt if you are suffering from diabetes and you want to avoid diabetes foot.

  1. Check your feet daily to see whether any crack or lesion has appeared. Check the sole of your foot too and around the ankles as well.
  2. Always keep your feet clean and free of dirt. The best way to do this is by using a soap and warm water. Apply a moisturizer once you are done cleaning them.
  3. Make sure that your shoes and footwear are appropriate. This means that they should not be too tight and neither should they be too loose. Ensure that your toes are not crammed into the shoe and that you can move them freely.
  4. Avoid smoking because cigarette smoke reduces blood circulation in the body. If the blood does not circulate properly, it may cause diabetes foot.
  5. Now that you know the preventative measures for the condition, you should also be aware of the treatment for the same.

Treatment for diabetes foot
Treatment for foot diabetes ulcers should be started as soon as the first symptoms appear or as soon as a qualified physician diagnoses the same. If left untreated, the disease can lead to further complication or even amputation of the limb. Here is a look at the viable ways of treating foot ulcers.

  1. Keep the ulcer region dry and covered at all times, in order to minimize the infection.
  2. Blood glucose levels must be regulated so that healing occurs naturally.
  3. Doctors may suggest topical ointments which must be applied daily to the wound.
  4. Soft and loose-fitting shoes should be worn, in case you are suffering from foot diabetes ulcers. This will prevent the wound from getting damaged.
  5. Patients are also advised to avoid walking too much before the ulcer has healed completely.

Consult a physician immediately if you feel some damage in your feet and you think that you may be afflicted with the ulcer in the feet. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!
