This could be a serious problem. Persistent/ recurrent bleeding is a serious symptom and should not be taken lightly. Treatment for this is readily available- please consult an ent specialist who will take a detailed history to look for the cause of the bleeding. The specialist may like to carry out an endoscopic examination to locate the bleeder and cauterize if necessary. Regards.

If you have ear blocked feeling get ent consultation done to check if there is any wax blocking the ear canal that needs to be cleaned. After ears are cleaned get a hearing test done which help to know what type of hearing loss you have and accordingly can decide what needs to be done. Drops will not improve hearing.

Can Snoring Be Turned Into Sleeping Beauty?
Honey, could you stop snoring please? This innocent statement heralds trouble ahead,usually made by a desperate individual who cannot take your snoring anymore. If you are having problems sleeping or if your partner is always complaining about your loud snoring it is most likely that you are suffering from sleep apnea.
There is no need to panic because advances in medicine have made treatment of this condition possible. Before you start seeking treatments, it is imperative to get some basics on this sleeping disorder. It will help you to make an informed choice while also reassuring you that your condition is treatable.
Demystifying Sleep Apnea
According to the American Sleep Apnea Association (ASAA), this medical condition causes involuntary cessation of breathing while a patient is sleeping. These breathing pauses can last for a few seconds to minutes and occur up to a hundred times in a night.
During these pauses, you will snore loudly and the disruption of natural sleep means you only enjoy light sleep throughout the night. Consequently, you will have problems concentrating during the day, which can be dangerous in some work situations.
It can be categorized into three categories. These are:
?Obstructive sleep apnea: This takes place when the soft tissue at the back of your throat relaxes thus blocking the airway. According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), over 18 million people suffer from this category.
?Central sleep apnea: It manifests when the central nervous system does not function properly. The brain fails to signal breathing control muscles leading to choking. It does not involve loud breathing and ASAA reckons it forms a large percentage of the 50% undiagnosed apnea cases in the US.
?Complex sleep apnea: This is a complicated combination of the central sleep and obstructive sleep apnea.
To determine the type of condition afflicting you, a visit to the dentist is crucial.
Why You Need Timely Diagnosis
The fact that 80-90% of sleep disorders remain undiagnosed should be a major worry. They say that a stitch in time saves nine, which is why you need to seek treatments if you have some of these symptoms:
?Screaming morning headaches
?Hypersomnia characterized by excessive day time sleepiness
?Abrupt awakening due to cessation of breathing
?Insomnia
?Loud snoring
In short, if you have problems enjoying your night's sleep then a visit to your dentist to seek sleep apnea treatments is advisable.Some of the problems that may arise if you ignore your incessant snoring include depression, sexual dysfunction, high irritability, memory problems, cardiovascular disease and a host of other dangerous health conditions.

Hello lybrate-user did you recently have cold. During attack of cold the ears get blocked due to spread of infection via a tube into the ears. This tube usually opens during yawning that's when you feel opening in ears. If still you feel blocked you can do steam inhalation, do chew carrots on the side of block. Certain nasal drops decongestants help. If still the same do consult. Take care.

Sinusitis!

Sinusitis is inflammation of the membrane that lines the sinus (sinuses the air-filled cavities in your forehead and cheeks and behind the bridge of your nose, produce thin mucus) and nasal passages, narrow ducts into the nasal cavity.

It can spring from hay fever, a virus or just about anything that irritates your nasal passages.

The inflammation alone can cause painful, tender eyes, cheeks and nasal passages, headaches, even earaches. Not only are sinus infections painful, they are also long lived and difficult to clear up, even with antibiotics - a good reasons to thin the mucus and encourage drainage with the right foods.

BENEFICIAL FOOD--

* Chillies, onions, horseradish, wasabi, and other foods that make
your nose run
Draining mucus is a sure way relieve sinus pressure and pain

* Capsicum, Citrus fruit and other foods rich in vitamin C--
Vitamin C is crucial for keeping the immune system in top form, means fewer colds, flus and even allergies

* Hot liquids
Sip hot tea with lemon or a steaming bowl of chicken soup
(or any soup made with clear broth) to get the ' juices' in your
head flowing

* Tea and water
The more fluids you take in, the thinner the mucus in your nasal
passages. Drink at least eight 250-ml glasses, or 2 litres daily.

* Nuts, seeds, wheat-germ, almonds, sunflower seeds and other
foods reach in vitamin E

FOOD TO BE AVOIDED

* Dairy foods
For example
Milk, Cheese and other dairy foods make mucus seem thicker

* Alcohol may swell nasal and sinus membranes

Sir, I am using homeopathy medicines for sinus problem. Is there any side effects are there from using of that medicines.

MS - ENT
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Rajkot
If it is pure and in proper dose, it will not usually cause any side effects. If your sinus problem is not improved in 6 months, your sinus problem may be due to some mechanical obstructive reason, so then go for CT Scan of sinuses to know the obstruction in sinus areas.

Dear sir/madam.

Hello. Masturbation is a medically healthy and psychologically normal habit. It is considered abnormal only when it inhibits partner-oriented behavior, is done in public, or is sufficiently compulsive to cause distress. It may cause distress if it is done compulsively or interferes with daily life and activities. Masturbation is a good way of relieving the sexual tension that can build up over time, especially for people without partners or whose partners are not willing or available for sex. Masturbation also is a safe sexual alternative for people who wish to avoid pregnancy and the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases. Masturbation does not produce premature ejaculation. Post-masturbation effects: a man whose penis has suffered a blunt trauma, severe bend or other injury during intercourse or masturbation may, rarely, sustain a penile fracture or suffer from peyronie's disease. Phimosis is" a contracted foreskin (that) may cause trouble by hurting when an attempt is made to pull the foreskin back" in these cases, any energetic manipulation of the penis can be problematic. A small percentage of men suffer from postorgasmic illness syndrome (pois), which can cause severe muscle pain throughout the body and other symptoms immediately following ejaculation, whether due to masturbation or partnered sex. The symptoms last for up to a week. Masturbation drains vital nutrients from the body. If body is in the state of good health to recover, supported by healthy food, regular exercise and calm mind, this practice may cause no impact. Continued drain without enough nutrition reach can lead to weakness (trauma), reflected both in mind (lack of self confidence is the most common) and in the body (digestive disorders, hair fall, frequent urination etc). Medication: take staphysagria 200 and alfaalfa tonic - both twice daily for 3 weeks. For cold: hi. Take homoeopathic medicine - schwabe's alpha-nc and alpha-cf - both thrice daily for 4 days. Use bakson's nasal-aid spray/ 1-2 sprays after every 4 hours. Management: - avoid cold drinks and fried food, take healthy food. -avoid exposure to air-conditioner or cold air. -take steam-inhalation once before going to bed. -take enough sleep and rest.

I had sudden hearing loss on both the ears around 6 years back. I was advised carbogen therapy 3 times by ENT Dr and continue further 2 times if there is any improvement. There was no improvement. Hearing loss has been 75% in left ear and around 30% in right year. Dr whom I consulted is one of the best in India. Took medicine for about 3 months and stopped as advised by him. He could not tell me the reason for the hearing loss or did not advise me to undergo any test to find out the exact reason. He is one of the best in India. Around 2 years ago, vertigo problem started. I consulted my family Dr with all earlier details who advised me to test blood for Vitamin B12, which was found very low. He said this can result to low blood circulation sometimes and this may be the cause of vertigo. Medicine for improving Vitamin B12 and vertigo (Vertin 16mg) was advised. Stopped medicine for Vitamin B12 when it became OK and continuing Verting 16mg twice a day. Last year, as advised by another ENT Dr, I did MRI of head and nothing wrong was found. The severity and frequency of vertigo has decreased since last few months. Kindly advise what can be the reason for the sudden hearing loss and vertigo.

The cause can be idiopathic to ototoxicity to loud noise ...multifactorial causes are there no body can tell u tht !! The doc is rite in what he did ..but B 12 deficiency is also not directly related to vertigo ...so go for treatment ..looking for cause is futile nd fruitless ...see a good vertigo expert and neurologist .i can also help in relieving vertigo as by grace of god i hv a good record of curing vertigo ..u can see me in Rockland Hospital dwarka new delhi ..
