Take frequent breaks while studying and dip a handkerchief in cold water and keep it over closed eyes for 2 minutes during breaks, you will feel better. Also get your eyes checked for any spectacle number.

I smile and laugh alone almost all time by thinking about my activities at some other place and forget about reality. For example I think "I am the best cricket player in Team India, playing match and my gf is watching me. Please help me. What is this? Is this a mental disease ?

Hi I will prescribe some harmless but effective flower remedy available in homoeopathy shops. Try to buy original medicines. Mix 3 drops of crab apple + 3 drops of cherry plum + 3 drops of white chestnut + 3 drops of agrimony. Mix these with 100 ml water and drink it every morning and night.(same dose) on empty stomach.

4 Tips for Eye Health and Maintaining Good Eyesight!

4 Tips for Eye Health and Maintaining Good Eyesight!

From smartphones to the idiot box, we are using our eyes to stare at small fonts and images more than ever before. So ask yourself this, are you eating foods that are best for your eyes? Are you performing relaxation exercises? Are you actually maintaining their overall health.

An important organ of the body, eyes must never be taken for granted and need to be protected at all times. In addition to protecting them, you also need to improve as well as maintain their overall health.

Here are some of the ways of keeping your vision in top form:

1. Eat for good eye vision

To have healthy eyes and consequently good vision, you need to have foods that keep them in good health. Nutrients like Zinc, Vitamins C and E and Omega-3 fatty acids can help to fend off age-related sight problems such as cataracts or macular degeneration (a condition characterized by the deterioration of the middle portion of the retina). Foods like eggs, nuts, green leafy vegetables, oranges and citrus fruits are what you need to have to get good eye health.

2. Kick the smoke habit

Smoking can adversely affect your eye health and can make you prone to eye conditions like cataracts, macular degeneration and damage of optic nerve (a nerve that transmits impulses from the eyes to the brain). By kicking this habit, you end up saving your eyes from irreversible damage.

3. Use sunglasses

Exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays for a long period of time can make you prone to common eye problems including cataracts. To protect them from the sun’s harmful rays, you need to use sunglasses that block 99-100% of ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) rays.

4. Go for a regular eye checkup

Going for regular eye examinations can help in protecting your vision and ensure you see clearly. Eye examinations are important to help you find eye problems like glaucoma (a condition wherein the optic nerve is damaged, resulting in vision loss). A comprehensive eye examination can help in identifying problems like nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism (an eye defect that occurs to a deviated spherical curvature).

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

I have redness in my eyes specially when when I come back from cricket practice it became more. What should I do.

What should I do.
Hi, tired, dry eyes do get red. Wear a good brand uv-protected sunglasses in the sunlight, keep yourself well hydrated by drinking 10-12 glasses of water in a day. Include the following for getting better vision: include vitamins a, c, e, and minerals like copper and zinc which are essential for eyes. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Dha is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: instill euphrasia eye drops twice a day. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

Nevus of Ota may also be associated with hyperpigmentation of internal eye which may predispose u to develop glaucoma now or later. will strongly recommend u to have regular eye examination and eye pressure checkup - at ur age once every 1-2 years should be fine unless u have some other risk factors.

Do not panic. Just get your eyes examined by an eye doctor to rule out presence of night blindness. Difficulty in seeing at night or in dim light is the symptom of night blindness. But even if you have problem seeing at night does not actually mean color blindness.
