Sir my question is that during pregnancy, what period is not coming. Please reply my answer. I am in very problem.
During pregnancy, menses does not come as excessive hormones produced by pregnany, inhibits the menses. And as there is fetus inside the uterus, endometrium can not be shed in the form of menses. This is the natural process and it happens with everyone.

How much sperm is needed to make her pregnant and how can I determine that myself or in my home?

How much sperm is needed to make her pregnant and how can I determine that myself or in my home?
Only 1 sperm is needed to make anyone pregnant. But the number of sperms in any semen ejaculate should at least be above 20, 000/ml and healthy and progressively motile. Unfortunately sperms are microscopic and none of this can be determined at home!

lybrate-user, I have gone through the query and understand your concern. If you have been having hypothyroidism even before this conception, then it was necessary to have increased the dosage of levothyroxine to 50 mcg when pregnancy was detected. Because during 1st trimester TSH should be about 2 mU/L and in 2nd & 3rd trimester <3 mU/L. If this is not done, then fetal growth and pregnancy outcome can be badly affected. I am a bit surprised that this was not informed to you, by your consulting gynecologist. Any way please increase the dose to either 50 or 78 mcg and check the TSH after 4 weeks. If you have any doubts please do come back. The change is urgent. Thanks.

We all know smoking cigarettes is bad for health but for people with Diabetes, there are even more risks.

"Lung diseases caused by smoking. If you have asthma, tobacco smoke can trigger an attack or make an attack worse. Smokers are 12 to 13 times more likely to die from COPD (long term lung disease Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease) than nonsmokers.”

Smoking puts you at risk for developing many cancers including Lung cancer.

Smoking makes it more difficult to control your blood sugar. And the reason is the NICOTINE.

Nicotine raises levels of hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) by as much as 34%.

HbA1c is a blood test performed generally every 3 months which indicates overall blood sugar control during the previous 3 months.

Non-Diabetics are increasing their risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes by smoking, for the exact same reasons.nicotine elevates blood sugar levels.

Nicotine replacement products such as patches and nicotine-containing electronic cigarettes, aren’t a safe option as well. ‘Because they still contain nicotine, these products are just as likely to boost A1c levels as cigarettes are.'”

“In order to minimize your chances of developing Diabetes or Diabetic complications, you need to quit smoking,”

Have you successfully quit smoking? What was your personally approach for success? You can share your idea to help others as well.

How Old Are Your LUNGS? 6 Ways To Keep Them YOUNG

MD PULMONARY

How Old Are Your LUNGS? 6 Ways To Keep Them YOUNG
How to Keep Your Lungs Young

Most of the young people’s lungs get abused early on and age faster due to smoking and pollution they breathe in, at times indirectly through passive smoking. It is important for us to keep our lungs healthy and young because our breathing depends on it.

Adopt following practices to consciously take care of your lungs.

1. Buy houseplants: Plants release oxygen which our lungs thrive on. Staying amidst greenery is the best thing you can do. If you are a city-dweller and do not have many trees around you, plant a few in your own balcony or garden.
2 Avoid jogging or cycling in traffic: Avoid staying anywhere near traffic heavy areas. If you plan to go jogging or cycling, prefer parks. If there are no parks or tracks near your home or work, opt for bylanes as there is lesser pollution.

3. Avoid main roads: Unless you are inside a car where pollution cannot reach you, take the bylanes and avoid main roads. This will save you from breathing in a lot of smog and dust emitted, keeping your lungs healthier.

4. Don't smoke: This doesn't really need to be told. Smoking is injurious to your health and damages your lungs. Being an active smoker or a passive smoker, both are harmful for you.

5. Go out in rain washed weather: The air is clear when it is raining. The dust has settled and the breeze has started blowing. If possible, walk in this time. Make sure you are covered.

6. Cover your nose if around fumes: If you work around fumes and smoke or if you live near factories etc, make sure you cover your nose and take adequate care to avoid inhaling the impure air.

Vaginal discharge is most often a normal and regular occurrence. However, there are certain types of discharge that can indicate an infection. Abnormal discharge may be yellow or green, chunky in consistency, or have a foul odor. Abnormal discharge is usually caused by yeast or bacterial infection. If you notice any discharge that looks unusual or is foul smelling. Types of Vaginal Discharge There are several different types of vaginal discharge. These types are categorized based on their color and consistency. Some types of discharge are normal, but others may indicate an underlying condition that requires treatment. White A bit of white discharge, especially at the beginning or end of your menstrual cycle, is normal. However, if the discharge is accompanied by itching and has a thick, cottage cheese-like consistency or appearance, it’s not normal and needs treatment. This type of discharge may be a sign of a yeast infection. Clear and Watery A clear and watery discharge is perfectly normal and can occur at any time of the month. It may be especially heavy after exercise. Clear and Stretchy When discharge is clear but stretchy and mucous-like, rather than watery, it indicates that you are likely ovulating. This is a normal type of discharge. Brown or Bloody Brown or bloody discharge is usually normal, especially when it occurs during or right after your menstrual cycle. A late discharge at the end of your period can look brown instead of red. You may also experience a small amount of bloody discharge in between periods, which is called spotting. If spotting occurs during the normal time of your period and you have recently had sex without protection, this could be a sign of pregnancy. Spotting during an early phase of pregnancy can be a sign of miscarriage, In rare cases, brown or bloody discharge can be a sign of advanced cervical cancer. This is why it’s important to get a yearly pelvic exam and Pap smear test. Yellow or Green A yellow or green discharge, especially when it’s thick, chunky, or accompanied by a bad smell, is not normal. This type of discharge may be a sign of the infection trichomoniasis, which is commonly spread through sexual intercourse. Causes of Vaginal Discharge Normal vaginal discharge is a healthy bodily function, and it’s your body’s way of cleaning and protecting the vagina. It’s normal for discharge to increase with exercise, sexual arousal, ovulation, birth control pill use, and emotional stress. Abnormal vaginal discharge, however, is usually caused by an infection. Bacterial Vaginosis Bacterial vaginosis is a bacterial infection and is quite common. This infection causes increased vaginal discharge that has a strong, foul, and sometimes fishy odor, although it produces no symptoms in some cases. Women who receive oral sex or who have multiple sexual partners have an increased risk of acquiring this infection. Trichomoniasis This is another type of infection, but a protozoan (a single-celled organism) causes it. The infection is usually spread by sexual contact, but it can also be contracted by sharing towels or bathing suits. This infection results in a yellow or green discharge that has a foul odor. Pain, inflammation, and itching are also common symptoms, although some people don’t experience any symptoms. Yeast Infection A yeast infection is a fungal infection that produces white, cottage cheese-like discharge in addition to burning and itching sensations. The presence of yeast in the vagina is normal, but its growth can multiply out of control in certain situations. The following may increase your likelihood of yeast infections: stress diabetes birth control pill use pregnancy antibiotics (especially prolonged use over 10 days) Gonorrhea and Chlamydia Gonorrhea and chlamydia are sexually transmitted infections can produce an abnormal discharge, which is often yellow, greenish, or cloudy. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease Pelvic inflammitory disease is an infection that is often spread by sexual contact. It occurs when bacteria spreads up the vagina and into other reproductive organs. It may produce a heavy, foul-smelling discharge.

Must be she had undergone abortion late. Ask her to avoid touching her nipple which will stimulate milk production. Also ask her to wear tight inner garments. She will be alright. Take paracetamol three times a day for cramps.

There are a number of things that you can try to ease the pain. Wear a soft bra at night. Avoid jogging, aerobics or other high-impact exercises. Make sure your bra fits correctly – get properly measured by a specialist fitter (most department stores have one). If you are taking any hormones, such as the oral contraceptive pill or hormone replacement therapy (HRT), consider stopping them for a while to see if the breast pain lessens. Breast pain seems to be common in women who have recently started HRT. Try a low-fat diet. There is some evidence that high levels of saturated fats in the blood make the breasts more sensitive to hormone levels, so it may be worth changing your diet. Avoid fatty meat, cheese, full-fat milk, cream, butter and anything made of pastry. Instead eat oily fish, such as herring and mackerel, twice a week. Fill up with carbohydrates (bread, potatoes, rice, pasta), fresh fruit and vegetables.
