Feeling weak in the knees or experiencing “jelly” or “rubber” legs is a common stress response reaction. Most people in fearful or stressful situations experience weak legs. The degree of weakness often is directly proportional to the degree of fear or stress. Also, since stress hormones are stimulants, a body that is persistently stress response overstimulated can become tired and feel weak. This weakness often is experienced in the limbs, such as the arms and legs. Fortunately, stress-caused weak legs is not caused by a serious disease, and is therefore, not a cause for concern. Once your stress and anxiousness have been addressed, this symptom diminishes and eventually disappears.

Premature Graying - Understanding the Causes Behind it?

Premature gray hairs haven’t spared even celebrities. An American reality television personality, Kylie Kristen Jenner at the age of 18 has discovered her first gray hair. Her belief is that it may be hereditary as her elder sister also experienced gray hair at the age of 20. The premature graying of hair has become quite common now and is increasing at an alarming rate.

Insight on Premature Graying        

Colour producing cells produce pigments. If it stops, your hair becomes gray. Ideally, it’s a natural process with age, where the pigment production declines.

Ideal Age of Graying Hairs

Usually, Asians develop gray hair during the late 30s, while whites develop it in mid 30s. So, by the time you reach 50, you have enough of gray hairs. If anyone experiences graying prior to this age, it can be declared as premature.

Causes

Although reasons are not clearly known, common causes could be genetics, smoking habits, your diet and vitamins.

  • Hormonal imbalance, be it hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, may lead to ageing.

  • Another reason could be your level of bone density as well as it is related to your activity level, weight, height as well as ethnicity.

  • Deficiency of vitamin B-12 leads to pernicious anemia, where production of red blood cells decreases. This leads to thinning and graying of hairs.

  • Deficiency of vitamin C and E reduce antioxidants in the body, thereby, increasing free radical activity. Hence, ageing process accelerates.

  • Deficiency of vitamins B5 and B9 also accelerates the ageing process as these help in the utilisation of protein in the body. Lack of vitamin B9 leads to decrease in the number of red blood cells and deoxyribonucleic acid.

  • Lack of zinc and copper could also lead to graying of hair.

  • Pituitary or thyroid gland problems can cause premature graying, which can be corrected with measures.

  • Smoking is one of the sources of free development of radicals in your body, which cause oxidative stress. This may lead to decline in the pigmenting capacity and melanin, which result in graying of hairs.

  • Consumption of junk food and processed food may increase oxidative stress and deposition of Advanced Glycation End products. This accelerates aging.

Lifestyle plays an important role in one’s life. It’s all about your appearance. Graying of hair symbolises ageing irrespective of your actual age. Of course, if it’s due to genetic factors, one cannot help it other than experience it. However, other factors are avoidable and treatable. All you need to do it eat right, have beauty sleep and avoid unwanted habits. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist and ask a free question.

I'm not able to get sleep during nights. The problem is that I don't go to bed easily but once I do, I won't be getting up any sooner. I'm not able to follow a proper timetable and thus losing my precious diet on most of the days.

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3.Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Take light dinner. 6.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. 7.Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 8. Avoid late night. 9.Don’t sleep in day time 10.Don’t take sleeping pill 11. If no relief consult doctor

Pimple never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Most people who are fat are made to feel that it is because you lack will power, you are lethargic and a weak person. But that is definitely not true. It is your your hormones which have made you fat and keeping you fat. Unless we make correct diagnosis and and create a diet and lifestyle plan to correct that hormonal abnormalities you will not be able to lose weight for long term. Most diet fails because they are low calorie and low fat. Instead of correcting metabolism, they make you feel low energy or makes you feel excessively hungry. To achieve weightloss - think long term. Weight loss achieved over short term, always comes back. There is a general approach and a specific approach as per individual patients metabolic profile. Try this general approach for 4 weeks. If this works then continue. If this is not enough then consult personally for further assessment and customised approach. With customised approaches people over 100-150 kg are also losing weight for long term. 1. Do not eat anything sugary or sweet. Zero sweetness in diet. 2. Eat plenty of salad in lunch and dinner along with other foods. 3. Do not drink any liquid calorie like cola or fruit jucies. 4. At least 30 min of exercise every day of any kind

Dear user, Anger and aggression are emotions. Anger comes when you become irritated. Irritation happens when you don't like something, or when something is repeated. As anger is an emotion, it should be vent out. You should be able to throw anger out instead of controlling it. But more perfect will be, know the frustrating situations and stop being emotional. If practiced properly, you will not get irritated at those circumstances at all. Those techniques are much easier to understand. Take care.
