STRESS AND WORRY are major factors in causing hair fall. Unless it is answered, it is very difficult. In stead of bothering about hair fall, concentrate on what is required out of you at this age. You will excel there and your problem will stop by itself. Do not go for any anti anxiety drugs. Avoid all medicines and shampoos. General guidelines: Take utmost care to get good sleep; if stressed out knowingly or suffering unknowingly, seek help to address the issue. Total darkness in the bed room is very essential for good sleep. No night lamps even. When sleep is disturbed, hair fall starts. Don't go for any so called branded hair oil but use genuine, virgin coconut oil only. Avoid all shampoos. Apply virgin coconut oil freely, let it soak it for 20 minutes, Apply Shikakai or mild, very diluted shampoo lightly. Not more than once a week. Continue and wait for 3 months to see good results Food: Panneer, cheese, eggs, chicken, fish

My hairs are falling from receding hairline. According to hair growth cycle new hairs should grow but its not happening. I can see some sign of baldness there. I want to know why new hairs are not growing at that area and what can be done to grow hairs at that area.

Dear lybrate user avoid shampoos and perfumed hair oils, use shika powder instead, eat more vegetables and whole fruits, drink plenty of water, since hair fall depends on many internal factors it needs an internal medicinal treatment for cure Homoeopathic constitutional treatment provides permanent cure from such tendency permanently by removing the root cause itself, medicines will be in nano dose and don't have any side effects or life long dependancy

quadriceps exercises and put a towel roll under knee and press for 10 second then release repeat 10 to 15 times. hot fermentation twice a day

The word depressed is a common everyday word. People might say" i'm depressed" when in fact they mean" i'm fed up because i've had a row, or failed an exam, or lost my job" etc. These ups and downs of life are common and normal. Most people recover quite quickly. With true depression, you have a low mood and other symptoms each day for at least two weeks The common symptoms are (few might be present in a person with depression) Feelings of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness or hopelessness Angry outbursts, irritability or frustration, even over small matters Loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities, such as sex, hobbies or sports Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping too much Tiredness and lack of energy, so even small tasks take extra effort Changes in appetite — often reduced appetite and weight loss, but increased cravings for food and weight gain in some people Anxiety, agitation or restlessness Slowed thinking, speaking or body movements Feelings of worthlessness or guilt, fixating on past failures or blaming yourself for things that aren't your responsibility Trouble thinking, concentrating, making decisions and remembering things Frequent or recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide Unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches General medical conditions and substances causing depression also needs to be ruled out. Consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated.

Cause of Over sleeping a) Alcohol, smoking, drugs caffeine, sleeping pills b) stress, depression, fatigue inadequate/disturbed sleep, c) obesity, lack of physical activity d) Environmental factor like room is too hot/cold, excess light, noise, un cofortable bed e) Hypo thyroidism, diabetes, Heart disease f) sleeping dis order like sleep Apnoea (Breathing disorder where you stop breathing periodically in the night, due to blockage of Airway, narcolepsy (day time sleep), Restless leg syndrome Treatment a) Have a proper sleep schedule-Get up and go to bed at same time everyda y (body’s natural clock –cicardian rhythm will be accordingly activated) b) Good sleeping environment (Quiet, cool, dark, comfortable bed room without noise, light), c) Avoid caffeine/alcohol/nicotine 4-6 hours before bed time, d) Avoid day time sleep, daily exercise, light reading for 15 minutes daily before going to bed e).Avoid anxiety/stress/depression/fear/boredom/lack of motivation f) check your hemoglobin, BP,do a thyroid function test to rule out hypothyroidism g) consult physician for advice and treatment.
