Using Adderall over an extended period can increase the risk of critical cardiovascular problems and strokes. There are also significant mental health issues associated with the long-term use of Adderall, such as depression, hostility and paranoia.

Dear Sir, Greetings of the day. My son who is 5 years is given Cypon syrup. His intake has increased. Earlier we used to give him Neopeptine since last 4 -5 years. Now after someone suggested we give him Cypon syrup along with neopeptine. My question is whether it is safe to continue and is there any side effect in longterm how much time we should continue this. Is it ayurvedic/Allopathic? Kindly guide me. Thanks,

These meds do cause habit forming events. Prefer calorie dense diet rather then just making hunger stimulated.

When to go for a Tonsil Surgery?

MS - ENT, DNB (ENT)
ENT Specialist, Delhi
When to go for a Tonsil Surgery?

Tonsillitis is an affliction that plagues a fair share of people. Located at the back of your throat, tonsils are essentially two small glands, which contain white blood cells to defend your body against infection. However, on account of germ attacks, sometimes the tonsils get infected and this results in the swelling of the tonsil glands, which in turn causes sore throat and aligned maladies.

Tonsillitis may be cured through surgical procedures. However, an isolated case of the inflammation of the tonsils need not warrant a surgery. Tonsillectomy or the surgical method of curing tonsillitis is only recommended for extreme cases of tonsillitis. Only the frequent sufferers of tonsillitis take recourse to tonsillectomy for a durable and effective solution. Surgeries are only done on those who have had at least seven bouts of strep throats within a span of a year.

Tonsillectomies essentially involve surgical removal of the tonsils either using a scalpel or burning the tissues in the tonsils with the use of ultrasound vibrations. Usually performed under anesthesia, it is a fairly painless and a non-hazardous procedure. Tonsillectomies generally last for about an hour. However, the recovery period sometimes entail a few physical discomforts. Sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, pain in the jaws and ears are common symptoms of post tonsillectomy conditions. While there are palliative medicines available in the markets, adequate rest and proper diet speeds up the recovery.

Tonsillectomy generally leaves no side effects and the success rate of this surgery is quite heartening. Tonsillectomy has also known to cure several other associated health problems in the likes of breathing troubles, sleep apnea, bleeding of the tonsil glands or cancerous developments in the tonsil glands. That aside, tonsillectomy is only performed on acute cases of tonsillitis and often regarded as the lender of last resort when medicines stop according any relief to the patient.

You improve your concentration by pranayam and yoga. Apart from this you have to be away from face book whats app and many more these kind of internet activities. Instead involve in some out door sport this will help you to regain memory.

M.D.( Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician,
Raising children is not an easy task. Disciplining them is still more difficult & tricky. It is essential to understand that threat as a motivation may work well in short term, but love is far better motivational tool in long term.

Hello my son is 2 years old and his weight is 8. 5kgs I am veg I don' t want to give him any non veg food not even eggs but many people around me suggest me to give eggs so could you tell me it is really help me or is there any equivalent food for high protein?

Pediatrician, Pune
Exclusive vegetarian diet causes vit b12 deficiency leading to anemia, developmental problems, occasional egg given does not cause any harm, but if you still want to give exclusively vegetarian diet, then soya bean, dal rajma, ground nuts are good sources of protein, see that the child gets sufficient amount of these nutrients.

Hello sir, there is no need for a separate tetanus shot this time as your child is already immunised. She is protected from tetanus for atleast 5 years. So do not worry.
