What is Psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a common skin disease characterized by thickened patches of inflamed, red skin covered with thick, silvery scales. The elbows and knees are the most common areas affected by psoriasis. It will often appear in the same place on both sides of the body. The patches can range in size from smaller than a dime to larger than a hand.
Description of Psoriasis-
Normally, skin cells mature and shed after about a month. In psoriasis, the cell maturation speeds up, taking only three to four days. Because the lower layer of skin cells divide more rapidly than normal, dead cells accumulate in thicker patches on the skin's outermost layer called the 'Epidermis'.
Forms & Classifications-
Psoriasis occurs in a variety of forms that differ in their intensity, duration, location, shape and pattern of scales. The most common forms are:
- Plaque Psoriasis: Plaque psoriasis is the most common form of psoriasis. It is characterized by raised, inflamed, red lesions covered with a silvery-white buildup of dead skin cells (scales). This is found primarily on the Body, elbows, knees, scalp and finger or toe nails.
- Guttate Psoriasis: Guttate psoriasis occurs most frequently in children and is characterized by numerous small, red, drop-like scaly macules that develop rapidly over a wide area of skin. This may appear following an infection, most frequently strep throat.
- Inverse Psoriasis: Inverse psoriasis occurs in the armpit, under the breast, in skin folds, around the groin, in the cleft between the buttocks and around the genitals. It is usually pink and irritated but lacks the thick scale seen in other forms of psoriasis.
- Pustular Psoriasis: Pustular psoriasis is a rare form characterized by small pustules (whitehead-like lesions) found all over the body or confined all over the body or confined to the palms, soles and other isolated areas of the body.
- Palmoplantar Psoriasis: This type of Psoriasis are most likely to show up on the palms and soles. It can also appear on the tops of your feet, backs of your hands, and on knuckles and nails. It may be triggered by an injury to the skin, an infection, or another skin condition such as hand dermatitis. It may first occur during a period of psychosocial stress. Lesions are like cuts which bleed.
Psoriasis - Homeopathic Treatment
The patient should be encouraged to expose maximum to sunlight and avoid trauma during the active phase.
Homeopathic treatment of psoriasis – Homeopathy is one of the most popular holistic systems of medicine. The selection of remedy is based upon the theory of individualization and symptoms similarity by using holistic approach.
This is the only way through which a state of complete health can be regained by removing all the signs and symptoms from which the patient is suffering. The aim of homeopathy is not only to treat psoriasis but to address its underlying cause and individual susceptibility. As far as therapeutic medication is concerned; several well-proved remedies are available for psoriasis treatment that can be selected on the basis of cause, location, sensation, modalities and extension of psoriasis. For individualized remedy selection and treatment, the patient should consult a qualified homeopathic doctor in person.
Sir I am suffering from fever for last 2-3 days. I get medicine but I am not feeling well, what can I do ?
I have met with an minor accident on 8th july and my foot/Toe got twisted badly and my 2nd Metatarsal bone got dislocated. It seems I got Lisfranc Fracture. Doctor advised that he cannot take any action until the swelling get reduced and me to take a week rest. Would it be corrected by hands after swelling or I need to go under Surgery? Because I am worried that in a week time the would settle on its current position and I need to go for surgery. kindly advise.
Let's be honest: Who doesn't want to last longer in bed? Actually, there are some men who would be more than happy to trade places with a guy who doesn't last all that long. That's because they suffer from delayed ejaculation, a condition that keeps them from ejaculating for a long while during sexual activity. Though some men might think this is a great thing, the reality isn't so wonderful. It's important to know about it, so that a man can take the appropriate penis care steps if it ever happens to him.
Why is delayed ejaculation so bad?
Though it might seem like lasting longer in bed would be the goal of any man, it is entirely possible to last a little too long - or to last so long that orgasm remains elusive. Imagine having a wonderful evening with a partner but then never getting close to that big finish everyone craves. Or taking so long to get there that the partner becomes sore, frustrated and bored with the action. Neither of these scenarios are appealing, but for men with delayed ejaculation, it can happen all the time.
What causes delayed ejaculation?
There can be many reasons this happens. For some men, the reasons are well-known, such as nerve damage, prostate issues or other medical conditions, all of which must be treated first before the delayed ejaculation can be addressed.
But for most men, there seems to be no reason for the problem. Sometimes it might be an infection they are unaware of, an underlying medical condition they didn't know about, or even something as simple as penis skin that is far too dry or an injury to the genitals. It could also have a psychological base, such as a man worrying about pregnancy, coming from a very strict upbringing or experiencing guilt or anxiety.
Treating delayed ejaculation
There are many ways to treat delayed ejaculation; the method used will depend upon what it causing the issue. As mentioned earlier, those who have underlying medical conditions must have those issues treated before they can address delayed ejaculation. Those who are dealing with injuries or rough, dry penis skin can find help through simple medical treatments, as well as the use of a heavy-duty penis health crème.
Many doctors will turn to certain medications to help the issue. These might include drugs for anxiety and depression, some blood pressure medications and herbal remedies, including over the counter supplements that are known to bolster penis health.
Those who face delayed ejaculation or other penis problems thanks to psychological issues might have a much longer road to treatment. Their issues might respond to counseling coupled with over the counter supplements. In these cases, the counseling might take a long while, but a man often sees improvement over the span of a few years.
Taking care to preserve penis sensitivity is a good way to help fight delayed ejaculation. The penis skin has many nerve endings, all of which need to be in good shape in order to give him the sensations that lead to orgasm. To make sure this happens, it's important to keep the skin smooth and supple with the use of powerful emollients, such as Shea butter and vitamin E.
In addition to fighting the dryness, a man can enhance his nerve response by using a great penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). Ingredients like L-carnitine, which protects against peripheral nerve damage, and vitamin C and D, which are great for enhancing erections, are a few essential nutrients that can help a man's penis stay at its most responsive.
