TSH level at that time was also normal. I also done consume much rich food as I used to earlier. In fact, now I avoid spicy food 90% of the time.

Respected doctor's, I feel like I am having slight swelling on my left side of lower neck just below the throat area. What it could be. Kindly tell me.

MBBS, MD
Endocrinologist, Delhi
If swelling is visible from front and is located just above the color bone near the neck, you should be more vigilant as it could be an important feature of a distant pathology. You should immediately consult a Physician and get an FNAC test done in which a needle is inserted in the swelling and material aspirated is examined by a Pathologist.

Hot liquids generally cause scalds and are less severe because the hot fluid runs away immediately as soon as it falls on skin. Moreover if clothes are in between the skin and fluid, some heat is taken away by them. The injury produced is mostly superficial epithelial in nature and generally heals within 7 to 10 days without leaving any scar. Otherwise also the area affected in your child's case is thigh which is covered mostly so there is no fear of cosmetic disfigurement. You need not worry. The blisters which have formed if burst open will need cleaning and application of antibacterial creams and will heal normally.
