Dieting and exercising are the main treatments for obesity. Diet quality can be improved by reducing the consumption of energy-dense foods, such as those high in fat and sugars, and by increasing the intake of dietary fiber. With a suitable diet, anti-obesity drugs may be taken to reduce appetite or decrease fat absorption. If diet, exercise, and medication are not effective, a gastric balloon may assist with weight loss, or surgery may be performed to reduce stomach volume and/or bowel length, leading to feeling full earlier and a reduced ability to absorb nutrients from food. Hi, hello. Start immediately with homoeopathic medication - sulphur 200/ one dose daily in the morning for a week and 10 drops of arnica montana q in 1/2 cup of water and apply on the face on the beard and the mustache area with a cotton swab. Then use the razor. Repeat the above process every 3rd day for few months. There are certain nutrients that you can add to your daily routine that can help encourage faster, more effective hair growth. Promote thicker hair with folic acid. This is necessary for the growth and repair of hair, take follihair/ 1 tablet daily for 3 months. You can also try increasing the amount of folic acid in your diet. Folic acid can be found in whole-grain breads and cereals, leafy green vegetables, peas, and nuts. Increase your biotin intake. Biotin is an important water-soluble b vitamin, necessary for the the formation of fatty acids and glucose, as well as for metabolizing amino acids and carbohydrates. This vitamin stimulates the production of sebum, which keeps your hair follicles and skin hydrated. You can find vitamin a in eggs, meat, cheese, liver, carrots, pumpkin, broccoli, and dark green leafy vegetables. -get plenty of vitamin e, which has long been recognized as key for healthy skin, and can increase blood flow, which leads to an optimal environment for hair growth. Foods rich in vitamin e include oils, leafy vegetables, nuts, and beans, and most people get plenty of vitamin e when eating a normal diet. -boost circulation with vitamin b3. Healthy circulation may have a positive effect on hair growth. Reports find that b3 is even more effective when taken with biotin. -take in vitamin b5. This is also known as pantothenic acid. It not only helps the body use fats and proteins, necessary for healthy hair, it also has been reported to help reduce stress; and stress can definitely inhibit hair growth. Vitamin b5 occurs naturally in brewer's yeast, broccoli, avocado, egg yolks, organ meats, duck, milk, lobster, whole-grain breads, and more.

Dr. it's been more than 6 months I'm having headache. Initially it use to moves all over in my head various parts then started ear pain with tinnitus sound followed with jaw and teeth pain. I tried many medicines over this 6 months but no use. Since 1 week headache is slightly reduced but having jaw pain and Ear pain and severe hair fall. Hair is not normal it's like just falling a lot. Doctor yes I do accept I'm going through a lot of personal problems since 6 to 8 months and under stress. I even mentioned it to my Dr. here he said probably Tension headache and gv medicines but it's not helping me. I developed lot of white hair, ear pain, Jaw pain, at times flashes in front of eyes and hair fall. Dr. are these signs of stress or an indication to serious health problems. I'm scared is it any Cancer or Brain Tumour? ? . Dr. one friend suggested to get an MRI done. I'm really confused. Do you think I should get an MRI done? Dr. why since 6 months my headache, ear pain tinnitus sound and jaw pain teeth pain, eye flashes or eye twitching is not reducing ? Why since 1 week I'm loosing so much hair? . You should visit md physician. Consult good doctor. 6 months is abnormal thing. Mri helps in diagnosis of soft tissue but it should be referred and diagnosed by doctor. As a dentist I can suggest you to visit a good dentist because tooth ache can be from jaw to ear to head known as a reffered pain. This pain can be so severe that it can wake you up in middle of night also. So better to visit a dentist also. Take care. Wish you healthy life ahead.

Continue taking medicines which are protective to the heart also. Reduce salt intake to bare minimum, joint pain can be due to retention of water or lack of proper exercises, putting entire load of body on knees. Get investigated by showing to your doctor. Get an x ray of joint done. Get back here with report and do consult a good physiotherapist for proper exercises which do not strain the knee joints.

Rough, dry, scaly skin on lower part of leg. Diameter 1 inch. No pain and is of dark colour and if scraped it comes as tough skin flakes. It's been there from 3 years. Slightly increased its size. Please suggest. If pressed it feels like group of needles punching in, still mild.

To remain healthy and fit in winters follow these steps.----------- 1.BALANCED DIET 2.BRISK EVENING WALK for 30 minutes 3.DRINK 6-8 Glasse of water daily. As 60% of our body is made of water, it acts as a carrier of essential nutrients inside our body. Loosing as little as 5% of body's weight as water can cause headache, fatigue and lower your muscle strength. To stay healthy, an adult should drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. Balanced Diet= 60% Carbohydrates + 20% Fats + 20% Proteins 1. Carbohydrates: Our main source of energy. Stored in liver and muscles. Carbohydrates are used the most by our body duringexercise. Hence, it is important for people who exercise regularly to consume a diet rich in carbohydrates. (a) Instant/rapid carbohydrates energy sources: Banana, Milk, Sweets, Sugarcane juice. (b) Slow carbohydrates energy sources: Beans, Bread, Cereals, Potato, Pulses, Rice. 2. Proteins: Essential for growth, repair of muscle, skin, hair and body tissues. Protein deficiency leads to low immunity, hairfall, feeling of tiredness. Proteins are not stored in our body as any excess protein is converted to energy or fat. Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. Hello, your work is mostly sitting for 8 hrs, that's why you are gaining weight. Change your lifestyle. Your physical activity is low. Increase your physical activity. Do regular physical exercise or walk daily about 45- 60 min as per physician advise. In the diet always eat balance diet. Diet should be low in fat. No saturated & trans fatty acids to be included in the diet. Fried foods should be avoided. Junk foods like pizzas, chips & french fries should be strictly avoided. The diet should be low in sugar. If you are non vegetarian the diet should be- red meat should be avoided. Fatty portion of chicken should be discard. Restrict use of egg yolk (egg yolk contains cholesterol) & egg based dishes eg. Mayonnaise. Animal foods like meat and pork which contain high amount of saturated fat should be avoided. Inclusion of fish in the diet is beneficial as they contains w-6 fatty acid. The diet should rich in fibre. Heavy meals should be avoided. Eat small & frequent meals.

Hello, Doing exercises regularly will not only cut down your belly fat, but also you will get a body in good shape and you will be get rid of many diseases related to it! Following exercises will help you to achieve this if you don’t have any other medical condition: 1. The Plank - Lie down on your tummy and then come on your palms and toes. Lift the knees off the floor. Draw your tummy muscles up and breathe deeply into the side and back of the rib cage. Aim to hold the pose for 30 seconds. 2. Static Tiger pose - Place your hands and knees on the floor. This is the starting position. Now lift up one leg and extend the opposite arm. Hold this Static Tiger Pose for 3 deep breaths. Come back to the starting position and swap sides, extending arm and opposite leg. You can look down towards the mat to keep the spine in line. This exercise will build core strength. 3. Sitting Spinal Twist - Sit on the floor and cross your legs. Place one hand next to your hip and the other on the knee. Rotate the spine and look over one shoulder into a Sitting Spinal Twist. Inhale. Exhale back to centre. Swap sides, rotating and looking over the shoulder. Inhale. Exhale back to centre. 4. Stomach Crunches - Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Place your hands on your thighs, across your chest or behind your ears. Slowly curl up towards your knees until your shoulders are about three inches off the floor. Hold the position for a few seconds and lower down slowly. Perform 12 stomach crunches. 5. Oblique Crunch - Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Roll your knees to one side down to the floor. Place your hands across your chest or behind your ears. Slowly curl up towards your hips until your shoulders are about three inches off the floor. Hold the position for a few seconds and lower down slowly. Perform 12 oblique crunches and repeat on the opposite side. Medication: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before meals for 1 month. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance. All the best! For facial fat: Here are few facial exercises to get chubby cheeks: 1. Sit tall. Sit in a chair with your back straight. Pull down the shoulder blades and relax your shoulders overall, making sure that there is as little tension as possible in that area of your body. Your chest should be outward and open. Open your mouth lightly. Imagine that you are carrying a normal conversation with someone at low to moderate volume. Open your mouth to the position you might usually have during such conversations. At this point, you must also curl both your lower and upper lip inward so that they cover your front row of teeth. Simultaneously, you should pull the corners of your mouth back, bringing them as close to the molar teeth as possible. Both corners should be pulled back in the same direction and to the same level or vertical position of your face. Your chin should move forward slightly, as well. Hold the face you have just made for a full 90 seconds. You should feel the muscles in your cheeks and mouth stretch. Release slowly to a normal resting face when done. 2. Work gently, making little pinches up and down both cheekbones. Small pinches likes this may not make your cheeks plumper, but this practice can give your skin a naturally blush, making your cheeks look brighter as a result. Brighter cheeks look plumper to the naked eye than pale ones do. 3. Take in a big breath and tightly close your lips as you puff up your cheeks, in a pose similar to that of a horn player. Hold the air in for five seconds and release. Repeat 10 times. 4. Pucker your lips into a fish face and then smile while holding the lips in place. Hold for five seconds and release. Repeat 10 times. 5. Resistance can help to activate the muscles on your face as it does on your body. Press an index finger lightly into each cheek for resistance; smile as you open your mouth and drop your chin down. Hold for one count and release; repeat 20 times. Apart for all these, use a facial lotion or moisturizing cream on your cheeks after every shower and every time you wash your face. Let it dry naturally and do not rinse it off.

Her treatment depends on the amount of damage to the knee. Operation is a good option but is usually reserved as a last resort. She should get physiotherapy done. Also there are many chondro protective medicines which can help in reducing her pain. Knee replacement is considered when these methods fail to provide significant pain relief.

Hi, I am both a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in losing your weight as well as solve your other health problems through a dietary therapy. Let me know your food intake details. The best diet is one which is healthy and well balanced with foods from all the food groups, and one which is varied and that you can stick to weight loss on some diets can be dramatic in the short term, but there's more of a chance of rebound weight gain. Set yourself a realistic target and aim to lose between (0.5-1.0kg) a week I being a registered dietitian strongly accommodate the patients own preferences without the patient feeling that they are on a diet not compromising the weight management goals. Don't fall for self dieting or fad diets availiable online they have harmful effects in the long run, if you lose a lot of weight very quickly, you may not lose as much fat as you would with a more modest rate of weight loss. Instead, you might lose water weight or even lean muscle tissue, since it's hard to burn that many fat calories in a short period. I will need to carry out detailed assessment in your case, after assessing your personal challenges to weight loss, I will recommend a strategy to gradually change habits and attitudes that have sabotaged your past efforts. And also now they are in severe depression and tried to attempt suicide 2 times. What to do? Clinical depression in any neurological patient is common. Since your father tried to attempt suicide also, it is severe depression. He needs antidepressant treatment. It will take around 3 weeks for him to improve and agree for surgery. The surgeons will wait since they want your dad to improve after operation. With depression even after operation, the improvement will be slow. Please request your neurosurgeon only to find a psychiatrist for your dad at the earliest. My 2 months 20 days baby is urinating around 5 Times in an hour from past 3 days. And in deep sleep in night she is less urinating. I was detected with gestational diabetes in my pregnancy and was on diet control with no insulin taken. After delivery baby was tested for diabetes and every thing was normal. What may be the reason for this. Is it due to cold climate? Her birth weight is 3.02 kg and present weight is 5. 5 kg.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is possible that due to cold weather, excess lmilk intake etc can cause an increased frequency in the baby. Since at birth baby was checked for diabetes, then there is no worry at all. Baby's weight looks fine. Only thing you will have to take precautions like taking a healthy diet, exercising regularly and not allowing excess weight gain or maintain normal weight. Thanks.
