Check your hemoglobin level. If it is low follow iron rich diet. If hemoglobin is at level then check your knee position. If there is more backward bend in any one of the knee or both do regular exercise to strengthen hamstring muscle (you may find in net). If you regularly play in which you jump a lot ; please use knee cap.

I am 32 years old female with one kid of age four. I received zoledronic acid 5mg infusion for treatment of osteoporosis (caused in my left foot due to repeated fractures). Please let me know, for how long should I wait to become pregnant.

My daughter aged of 12 suffering from stomach pain after passing the motions both stomach pain & the back part of tool I already don urine test motion test culture test but is positive there was urine infection treated for three days but still she says she has pain in the back kindly suggest.

This is sign of severe urinary tract infection. Rule out reflux. By means of sonography you shall rule out that. And meet pediatric urologist for the same.

I have pain in both my elbows for several years now though it does not bother me much but it is there I find it coming mostly during cold and when exposed to ac and fan please advise.

It requires detailed investigation and examination. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

I have rotating muscle pain which was started since may, 2017 from left side back shoulder after a basketball match and now spread to both side of biceps for last one month. Quite painful at night and when I lift up arms side vertically. Is it muscle injury or can be other like TB?

Cold compress Cold compresses can help reduce swelling in the shoulder. Cooling also helps to numb sharp pain. Apply an ice pack for up to 20 minutes, up to five times a day. Use a frozen gel pack, ice cubes in a plastic bag, or a bag of frozen peas. Wrap the cold pack in a soft towel. Do not apply a cold pack directly to skin. Heat therapy Heat helps to relax tense muscles and soothe a stiff shoulder. It can help with muscle pain and arthritis in the shoulder. Use a heated gel pack, heating pad or a hot water bottle. Shoulder exercises and stretches Regular exercises and stretches can keep your shoulder strong and flexible. A few things to remember before swinging in to exercises: •Stop any exercise if you have more shoulder pain. It may be too soon for you to try. •Watch your form. Exercising incorrectly can also cause or worsen shoulder problems. •Warm up, even before deep stretching. Light shoulder rolls, gentle movements, or even a warm shower are all ways to warm up your muscles before exercise and stretching. Pendulum stretch for range of motion•Stand and bend at the waist. •Let your arm on the injured side hang straight down. •Keep your neck relaxed. •Move your arm in a circle up to 20 times. •Do once or more times in a day. Overhead shoulder stretch •Sit or stand to do this shoulder stretch. •Intertwine your fingers in front of you. •Bend your elbows and raise your arms above your head. You can also place your hands on your head or behind it. •Gently squeeze your shoulder blades together to move your elbows back. •Continue for up to 20 repetitions. Repeat 5 to 10 times a day.
