We had a sex without a condom after 2 days of her periods. And after that immediately taken unwanted 72. So it leads to pregnancy or not?

Unwanted 72 is an emergency contraceptive pill (ecp) and it has to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex. But it is an" emergency" pill, by that one should understand that it is meant for those times when sex was almost an" accident" or a rare event. If a person wants to have sex frequently, say more than 2 times a month then these pills will not work in fact ecp have a high content of hormones and they disturb the natural hormone levels in the body, as a result the lady taking it may have: excess bleeding at menses irregular menses for a few cycles irregular menses for a few months these changes can happen even with one pill so imagine what would happen if the ecp is consumed for more than once a month? in your case, the pregnancy should not occur, but then menses is the only sign which can say that one person has not conceived in the last month. So wait till her menses start and if they are delayed, do a urine pregnancy test (upt) a day after her missed period date. This menses or a negative upt done after missed period is the only way one can assure that pregnancy has not happened.

First check whether she has put on weight recently. She should undergo ultrasonography. If normal, she can take hormonal treatment to regularise the cycle.

Sucking or licking vagina may cause transmission of infections. It has nothing to do with conceiving a child.

Try hCG test once more. If it comes negative this time, then it will be confirmed that she is not pregnant. Take Ashoka Q 10 drops in one glass water daily for 1 week. It will be alright. Still if you have any queries, please let me know. Take care. :)

Healthy Diet for Summer

Remedies for Staying Healthy in Summers

Have a quick look at some health tips for staying healthy during summers.

I am trying for my baby. Last period date of mine was 28 feb. And I always had regular cycle of 27 days but this time I just got my period on 17 march. Now how to predict my ovulation time. If my period date is 17 march which was bit earlier.

Frequency of intercourse should be 3-4 times a week for full one year to get pregnant. To find out ovulation date you can follow calender method. If a women’s menstrual cycle varies from 26days to 31days cycle, The shortest cycle (26days) minus18days=8th day. The longest cycle (31days) minus 10days=21st day Thus, 8th to 21st day of each cycle counting from first day of menstrual period is considered as fertile period.

Even if whole of the semen flows out, the few drops inside also contains millions of sperms which, if healthy will swim up to cause a pregnancy. 5 months is too small a time, give yourselves an year atleast and practice midcycle coitus that is sex during 7-18 th day of cycle.

It doesn't matter if the semen is thin as long as it's healthy means has adequate sperms required for fertilisation the best time for having sexual relationship is the mid cycle when ovulation takes place which is around two weeks before the next cycle in normal regular periods.

Health Benefits Of Pumpkin seeds

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Gurgaon
Health Benefits Of Pumpkin seeds

1.Heart Healthy Magnesium

One-quarter cup of pumpkin seeds contains nearly half of the recommended daily amount of magnesium, which participates in a wide range of vitally important physiological functions, including the creation of ATP (adenosine triphosphate, the energy molecules of your body), the synthesis of RNA and DNA, the pumping of your heart, proper bone and tooth formation, relaxation of your blood vessels, and proper bowel function.

2.Zinc for Immune Support

Pumpkin seeds are a rich source of zinc (one ounce contains more than 2 mg of this beneficial mineral). Zinc is important to your body in many ways, including immunity, cell growth and division, sleep, mood, your senses of taste and smell, eye and skin health, insulin regulation, and male sexual function.

3.Prostate Health

Pumpkin seeds have long been valued as an important natural food for men's health. This is in part because of their high zinc content, which is important for prostate health (where it is found in the highest concentrations in the body), and also because pumpkin seed extracts and oils may play a role in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH, or enlarged prostate). Research suggests that both pumpkin seed oil and pumpkin seed may be particularly beneficial in supporting prostate health.

4.Anti-Diabetic Effects

Animal studies suggest that pumpkin seeds may help improve insulin regulation and help prevent diabetic complications by decreasing oxidative stress.

5.Heart and Liver Health

Pumpkin seeds, rich in healthy fats, antioxidants and fibres, may provide benefits for heart and liver health, particularly when mixed with flax seeds
