Why in pregnancy pigmentation done in underarms and neck nd how to recover from dis?
There is nothing to be afraid of. The body needs time to recover from all the assaults it had withstood during baby birth.

Need to worry?
You must take precautions so that mosquitoes do not bite the baby. Mosquito bites are very common and go unrecosniised. Use nets at night and the rash will disappear on its own.

It is a possibility that we should consider. Try Candid ointment twice a day after bath and before going to bed at night

I am 25 years old. Previously I got surgery for brest lumps at right. Now I got lumps at left side also and I have a lump at my right hand. I went to a gynic, she examined and said it was not harmful. If you want surgery you can if you do not want just leave them. Previous surgery results was also normal. But now I feel swelling under arms on left side. Please suggest me that it is better to go for a surgery for that?

You are most probabaly having multiple fibroadenomas in the breast. You must get yourself examined by a surgeon because breast lumps are not to be ignored. Investigations like ultrasound and MRI may be required and surgery is required if investigations point.

Hernia Surgery - What To Know About It?

FICS, FCCP (USA), DNB (General Surgery), MS - General Surgery, MBBS

Hernia Surgery - What To Know About It?

Hernia may be defined as the protrusion of an organ into an adjacent connective tissue or muscle. The protrusion usually occurs through a tear or a weakened area in the muscle (Fascia). The hernia may be Inguinal Hernia, Umbilical Hernia, Hiatal Hernia or Femoral Hernia. The hernia can also originate from an incision (Incisional Hernia). The Inguinal Hernia is commonly observed in males. Here, the intestine squeezes through a tear in the abdominal wall into the groin (inguinal canal). At times, the small intestine bulges through the abdominal wall (weak spot) near the bellybutton. This results in Umbilical Hernia. In Hiatal Hernia, the upper part of the stomach passes into the chest through the diaphragm. Of all the hernia types, the Inguinal Hernia is the most common.

Severe strain and muscle tear or weakness can result in hernia. Obesity, chronic constipation, chronic coughing and sneezing, ageing, damage caused by injury, medical conditions like Cystic Fibrosis, contribute to increased incidences of hernia. In case of hernia, the affected area tends to protrude or bulge out. If left untreated; hernia can prove to be detrimental. One needs to consult a physician for proper diagnosis and treatment. Physical examination can help in the diagnosis of Inguinal Hernia. An ultrasound is needed to diagnose Umbilical Hernia. A Barium X -ray or endoscopy can be of great help in the diagnosis of Hiatal Hernia.

The severity of the hernia depends upon its size. In case the hernia is rapidly increasing in size, a surgery is needed for the repair. The surgery performed can be Open or Laparoscopic. In open surgery, hernia is identified through an incision. Once located, the hernia is removed from the adjacent tissues. In Laparoscopic Repair, small incisions are made in the affected region. Through these incisions, specialized instruments are inserted. It is through these instruments that the surgeon visualizes and performs the surgery.  In such repair, a mesh, held in place by sutures is used as a scaffold. This facilitates the growth of new tissues in the affected person. This technique significantly lowers the chances of a recurrence.

Certain factors needs to be well addressed before performing hernia operation:

  1. Hernia operations, Laparoscopic in particular, should be performed by experienced surgeons. Inexperienced surgeons will do you more harm than good.
  2. Laparoscopic hernia operation should be avoided in case a patient has adhesions from previous surgery.
  3. Extreme care should be taken while performing a hernia operation in infants and children.
  4. In some cases, hernia surgery might affect or injure the vas deferens in men. This in turn can affect fertility in men. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a General Surgeon.

The gall stones are in no way related to the prostate. It is better to treat silent gall stones when they are silent and not during an acute attack. This is done laparoscopically. The prostate needs to be investigated in detail. I do lap choley and TUR prostate together at one sittingif the patient is fit as it avoids another operation. Both procedures are minimally invasive

I was done LIS surgery at chennai apollo by a famous colorectal surgeon due to anal fissure. I am in restricted diet only take vegetables, fruit and lot of water in a day and so I have to go 10-12 times urine pass in a day. I do not take fast food, junk food almost half of the food items are left. generally my stool is soft but some day at the beginning of the motion is very little hard then semi-solid but for this issue still anal fissure is recurring. My age is 23. My operation was done only five month ago and between this period fissure has recurred three times and now it is not healed. So if this problem is going on then how many times I have need of operation. How I shall live by bearing such a pain. It seems to me death is more preferable than such a pain during motion. Before operation colonoscopy was done, during operation biopsy done all normal. So it has any treatment left? How many times I have need of surgery if it recurs again and again. Pls help me I am in extreme painful condition.

Your story appears to be one of recurrent acute fissure on chronic fissure. The surgery done 5 months ago apparently has not been successful since you had 3 attacks of acute pain in this period. I presume a lateral internal sphincterotomy has ben done. It gies very good results normally. 1) you must come for a complete physical examination to a surgeon 2) You must get a simoidoscopy done in order to visualise the higher parts oif the rectum 3) If the fissure persists then surgical inerventtion may be required. 4) We must control constipation 5) There is no diet restriction, please eat lot of food of any type, taking care to include fruits and green vegetables in plenty. Eating restricted foods causes constipation and worsen your pain 6) Take a good laxative eg Livoluk Fibre powder 3 tsp full in 2 glasses of water before going to bed

It appears that you have bilateral symmetrical white spots on your eyelid. Were they present at birth (congenital) then you can do nothing about it.

Multiple scrotal sebaceous cysts do not respond to medical treatment and is best dealt with by surgical removal of the same. It is simple and rewarding surgery. I presume they are extensive and you must show a surgeon. Full investigation is needed before surgery.

A boil of 3-4 inches is not a boil it is an abscess or carbuncle. You have not mentioned diabetes or cardiac problems. Diabetics typically develop such lesions and require drainage. You have to be fully investigated and drainage or excision of the carbuncle done.

Once my stool became very hard due to taking many antibiotics for stool disturbance and my anus very badly affected due to passing hard stool. There was several tiny fissures and three big fissures in my anus. After occurring these fissures when I went toilet for second bowel movement then what a burning sense in my anus it seems to me that someone put chilly and salt in my anus and after every motion about 5 ml blood comes out. Though the severe burning sense stop after three days but coming blood is continue after motion. This took 40 days to heal the anus completely. Then again after 3 months my stool becomes little hard and then again several tiny fissures and some deep fissures come and again burning ,pain, blood coming. Is this normal fissure? Because anal fissure generally one which is situated posterior midline but for me why multiple fissure? Why it is coming again and again after complete healing if stool becomes little hard occasionally? I want a permanent cure from it. Pls help me. At present I am taking high fibre diet and drinking lot of water to keep the stool soft but I want a permanent cure from it at any cost so that fissures does not come after hard motion. Is it possible by any surgery? Pls help in details I want a permanent cure not temporary healing.

The problems you face are: a) Chronic Persistant constipation and you have to get rid of it with diet control.\it includes high fibre diet, good protein in diet, and low fat and low carbohydrayes. This needs to be implemented immediately\nd c\rried on always. Properly done surgery with a good lateral sphinctorotomy will constitute a cure in about 2 weeks. You should take Livoluk powder 3 tsp in 2 glasses of water. Drink lot of water. Your case looks advanced and \i would recommend immediate surgery after a surgeon sees you

You are suffering from sub clinical hypothyroidism and this has been revealed by the high TSH. Please continue taking Thyronorm at 12.5 daily. It is very difficult to pinpoint the source of the allergen and you must keep a careful watch on all food items/ drugs which aggrevate this condition. You must avoid anything under suspicion.
