Whitecoat hypertension is common. Strict adherence to lifestyle changes like diet, exercise, good sleep etc should be followed to avoid future development of fullblown htn.

U can't do anything about that which is not in ur control...realize this and engage urself in activities like morning walks, jogging ,exercise etc and join a friend's group instead of taking medicine for depression

What are the reasons for increment in heart diseases day by day and how to manage them?
1. Avoid stress, anxiety, physical and mental strain 2. Reduce your weight if over weight, control bp, control cholesterol, control diabetes 3. Go for regular exercise 4. Control your diet. Take diet low in salt, cholesterol and saturated fat. Avoid red meat, sugar, high fat diary product, spicy, oily, junk, fried and processed food. Take plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits, whole grain food 5. Drink plenty of water (6-8 glasses of water daily). 6. Take adequate rest. 7-8 hours of sleep is required to remain healthy 7. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 8. Stop smoking, alcohol and tobacco intake 9. Avoid sedentary life style.

If someone develops sudden chest pain or breathlessness or by any other symptom one thinks it could be heart attack it is better to take him to nearby hospital and get him diagnosed and treated, any delay because of ignorance, or self treatment or self diagnosis can be fatal. Any medicine should be given after medical check up only.

Get an ECG (if possible get one when you are experiencing palpitations, Echo done and consult with a cardiologist. For cholesterol and low Hb, Take a detailed diet consult to reduce cholesterol containing and adding Iron rich food in your diet. And if ECG and Echo are normal begin with daily brisk walking and gradually increase the duration of walking to 30-40 mins. Repeat your Lipid profile and HB after 4 weeks of diet and exercise introduction, if still deranged you may need medications.

A physician can differentiate between heart pain and chest wall pain. ECG and troponin test are very useful tests when heart pain is suspected.

Sir. I am a 32 years old male. I have been suffering from white coat hypertension (as told by my doctor) for the past 6 months. My blood pressure readings in a Doctor's clinic 165/95 and in my home 125/80. I have been prescribed Concor 5mg tablet daily by my doctor. Is this hypertension a serious one. Any way to get rid of this problem. Kindly suggest.

Hi. We call it bp problem when the bp is continuously high. White coat hypertension does not require treatment. As you said, your bp at home is absolutely normal. So you do not have to take any medicines of bp control. Take care.

Symptoms Of Heart Attack Pain chest or feeling of Tightness or Squeezing in chest Pain radiating to Jaw ,Back or Left arm Shortness of Breath Nausea, Vomiting Sweating Heart Burn and indigestion Causes of Heart attack 1.
