Can stones in gall bladder be treated through medication or it is compulsory to undergo a surgery?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Delhi
No its not compulsory to undergo surgery to remove gall stones, it can be removed naturally with our medicines only. Gall bladder gets diseased due to an unhealthy diet and lifestyle. This leads to an imbalance of the acid-alkali balance in the body which causes the cholesterol to precipitate in the gall bladder leading to stone formation. Over time, these may get infected and lead to an acute inflammation, pain, fever etc. A stone may move ahead into a narrow passage or the duct and get stuck leading to severe agony. One can avoid formation of gall stones by just avoiding fatty food, junk foods and going behind unhealthy diet. To cure it naturally with medicines only one can just take our medicines which are combination of herbal and homeo medicines. Just take our medicines for some time and stones will be expelled also thereafter that stent can also be removed.

I have pain in my right leg it has swelling from last 4 days I fell from stairs what do I do ?

BPTh/BPT
Podiatrist, Mumbai
I have pain in my right leg it has swelling
from last 4 days I fell from stairs what do I do ?
Hi, you might have sprained your ankle, to be on a safer side take a xray to see any hairline fracture, or consider a mri to detect soft tissue injury. For the time being, apply cold pack, every 4-5 hours for 15-20 min, observe if it reduces pain or swelling. Applying compression bandage and ankle support can help. Keep the leg elevated by 2-3 pillow. I would suggest that you should see the doctor personally as soon as possible, don't try to self medicate or ignore the injury. Please get back to me, if you need any further assistance.

If it is a single stone and not associated with pain, we can observe it till it gives symptoms. But if multiple stones or associated with pain better you should undergo laparoscopic cholecystectomy. It can be done any good hospital in bihar having laparoscopy facility.

Hello, There are actually many causes of swelling in the legs and if there is no histiry of any injury, etc then it needs to be medically evaluated. In some cases, swelling in the legs could just be due to posture related and soon as the legs are elevated, the swelling disappears. Also other causes could be cardiac, issues with kidney, liver , hypthyroidism wand all these need to be medically evaluated. So proceed with a checkup done by a general physician and let me know the investigation reports so that i can see and advise you accordingly. Thanks & Regards Dr Akshay

My daughter 23 years old. If she walks 1-2 hours, her toe and bottom get swallowed.

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There are many causes of swelling in the legs. Most common reason is postural and many patients develop it when they stand for a long time, but as soon as they elevate their leg up, the swelling subsides. It can happen after any injury which is a priority to diagnose and treat accordingly. Also there could be infection or inflammation which can lead to swelling. Sometimes heavy physical activity may also lead to swelling in your calf muscles. But we have to look at medical causes as well, chronic cardiac conditions can lead to swelling, any pathology which leads to low proteins in the body like deranged lft, kft etc can also lead to swelling. Hypothyroidism can also lead to generalized swelling like appearance in the body. So for accurate diagnosis we need to clinically evaluate and get appropriate tests: cbc, esr, crp, lft, kft, serum electrolytes and thyroid profile. Please get back to me should you need more information or with test results. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

I have 3 to 4 mm gallstones. Is there a gallbladder flush in ayurveda? how to do it?

Advanced Aesthetics
Ayurveda, Gulbarga
Gallstones can range in size from smaller than a grain of sand to larger than a golf ball. According to the american medical association, 80 percent of gallstones are made of hardened cholesterol that develops when there is too much cholesterol in the gallbladder. Other causes include high levels of bilirubin and a concentration of bile in the gallbladder gallstones can cause lot of pain and must be treated immediately. So, consult your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. There are several natural home remedies too that you can use to prevent and treat gallstones. Some home remedies. Peppermint peppermint aids digestion by stimulating the flow of bile and other digestive juices. Plus, it has a compound called terpene that can effectively dissolve gallstones. It is also believed to help relax spasms and relieve acute gallbladder pain. 1. Boil one cup of water. 2. Add one teaspoon of dried peppermint leaves. 3. Remove from heat, cover and steep for five minutes. 4. Strain and add one teaspoon honey. 5. Enjoy the tea while it is still warm, twice daily for four to six weeks. Drink it between meals for maximum results. Vegetable juice when suffering from gallstones, it is essential to cut down on fried and fatty foods. For a week or two, follow a strict diet based on fruit and vegetable juices. A mixed vegetable juice made of beet root, cucumber and carrots is a good remedy for gallstones. Beet root helps cleanse the liver and strengthens the gallbladder. Cucumber? s high water content is great for detoxifying the liver and gallbladder. Carrots are rich in vitamin c and other nutrients that are good for the immune system. 1. Extract the juice from one beet root, one cucumber and four medium-size carrots. 2. Mix them and drink this juice twice a day. 3. Follow this remedy for two weeks and you? ll notice a huge improvement in your condition. Any queries inform me.

Do you have any symptoms like pain, etc. Any hospital admissions? Any difficulty in digestion. If you have above symptoms then gall bladder needs to be removed laparoscopically if not then you can avoid surgery and closely follow up by doing usg every 6 month.
