I am suffering from dry cough last 2 weeks and I have chest pain whenever I cough hard .please advice me.
Hello Lybrate user, Coughing is one of the most common health problems. When there is a blockage or irritant in your throat or upper air passages, your brain thinks a foreign element is present and tells your body to cough to remove that element. Coughing can also be due to a viral infection, common cold, flu, and smoking or health problems such as asthma, tuberculosis, and lung cancer. Some of the symptoms of a cough are itchy throat, chest pain, and congestion. Instead of using over-the-counter cough syrups, you can try some natural cough treatments using readily available ingredients in your kitchen. -Turmeric Milk (Golden Milk) -Eucalyptus Steam Inhalation -Yoga For Dry Cough Relief (Pranayam, Breathing practices) -Peppermint Solutions -Aloe Vera Mixture (Aloe vera+Honey) -The Onion Juice Remedy (Onion+Honey) -Spicy Ginger Tea Avoid eating and drinking cold things. Take proper rest. For medications consult with us in our private chat.

Hello Lybrate user, Acne is a skin condition in which there is excess production of oil from the sebaceous glands leading to the blockage of hair follicles. It is the most common problem of adolescents, and is therefore known as Yauvanpidika in Ayurveda; yauvan means ‘adolescence’ and pidika means ‘pustules or papules’. Acne usually affects the face, back and shoulders and other areas that are densely populated with sebaceous glands. Acne presents either as blackheads, whiteheads, pimples or nodules. 1-Some of the general reasons for acne development include: Oily skin Dead skin cells Clogged pore Bacteria/ Infection 2-Diet & Lifestyle Advice - Avoid spicy, oily and sour foods. - Eat fresh, unprocessed food. - Increase the use of herbs that have cooling effects on the body like fennel, coriander seeds, Indian gooseberry (amla) and aloe vera. - Increase intake of water to about 8-10 glasses per day. - Wash your face frequently with mild herbal soaps. - Avoid irritant cosmetics. - Do not squeeze the acne lesions. - Do regular exercise Yoga or Breathing practices. - Avoid stress. - Take complete rest.-Change your lifestyle. -Drink lukewarm water on empty stomach in morning. -Drink vegetables juices. 3- Some home remedies:-Papaya is a great Ayurvedic remedy for acne and pimples. It balances the tridosha (vata, pitta and kapha), detoxifies the whole body, fights against bad bacteria and helps in your acne healing. Take 1 tsp. Of triphala with hot water on empty stomach every morning. -Turmeric is an antibacterial and anti-fungal Ayurvedic remedy to prevent bacterial breakouts and pimples. It is also anti-allergic and cleanse toxins from the pores. Make a paste of turmeric powder with water and apply on the skin. Once dry, rinse off and pat dry. You can replace water with honey for dry skin. -Prepare a powdered mixture of coriander seeds, fennel, basil, turmeric and Indian gooseberry (amla) in equal parts. Take ½ teaspoon of this powder 15 minutes before lunch and dinner. -Have 1 teaspoon of powdered Indian gooseberry fruit (amla) in morning and evening with water. -Take one teaspoon of coriander juice mixed with a pinch of turmeric powder. Fresh Aloe vera just break off a small piece of one leaf, peel away the outer flesh to expose the gel, and massage gently into your skin. For best results, let the gel soak in for at least thirty minutes before washing it off Cut off a few thin slices of cucumber, and lay them over your scarred skin. After about thirty minutes, discard the cucumber slices and rinse your face with cool water. Dab lemon juice over scars with a cotton ball and let it dry completely. Then rinse your face with cool water and follow up with a natural moisturizer. Repeat this treatment once every two or three days. Cut thicker slices of potato and apply the juice by massaging them over scars. For best results, leave potato juice on your skin for at least fifteen minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Puncture the end of a VITAMIN E gel capsule and squeeze the contents onto your fingertip. Apply the oil directly to scarred skin Apply egg whites on the scars using a cotton ball and leave it on overnight to get the best effect. Should drink plenty of water, as it helps in flushing out the toxins from your body and revitalizing it Applying ice to the face helps tighten pores and to reduce secretion of acne-causing sebum.
