During every winter season he used to suffer from "low sodium" problem. initially he used to suffer from continuous hiccups and it will lead to "low sodium" condition. This makes him unconscious. We used to admit him in the hospital and after a minimum period of 10 days he used to recover from the low sodium disturbance. What riggers the low sodium in his body? How to avoid this situation?

Hello, liberate user, a low level of sodium in the blood cause mental state, headache, nausea and vomiting, tiredness, muscle spasms and seizures, shortage of sodium can lead to coma and can be fatal. Excess water in body dilutes the amount of sodium contents, excreted out through urine results in shortage of sodium hence ,your father should tk modrate quantity of water to avoid condition of low sodium in his body. Tk,care.

Hi, firstly you consult any rheumatologist in your locality and second you go to a good physiotherapist. Follow breathing exercise, back extension exercise and many more as per your physio advise. Not delay. Thanks.

I am having a lot of pimples these days. What should I do? Consult a doctor or simply use natural face-wash?
Pimples is one of the most common dermatologic conditions, affecting millions of individuals in the United States. It's characterized by whiteheads, blackheads and blemishes. In general, acne typically develops in teenagers; however, many adults have some degree of pimples as well. The exact cause of acne is unknown. Hormonal changes during the teenage years, as well as during pregnancy, may be contributing factors. In general, there are two types of pimples: • Noninflammatory acne, characterized by the presence of whiteheads and blackheads. • Inflammatory pimples , characterized by the presence of pimples, which may rupture to form inflammatory lesions that are raised, reddened areas on the skin called "papules. In the majority of cases, individuals exhibit both types of acne. Pimples typically occurs in the facial area, chest and back, where the sebaceous glands are the most prominent. Acne can also occur on other areas of the body as well, such as on the neck and upper arms. There are a variety of factors that may contribute to or worsen pimples . These factors can be classified as environmental, physical or emotional. Examples of these factors include: • Oil-based cosmetic use. • Stress and anxiety. • Humidity or exposure to dirt. • Premenstrual changes or hormonal changes. • Physical irritation from occlusive clothing, headbands, hats, helmets, etc. • There are various preventative measures that may prevent or reduce acne pimples. Examples include: • To prevent the incidence of scarring, never squeeze or pick acne lesions. • Establish a daily skin-care regimen, which includes cleansing the skin with a soft wash cloth, warm water and an appropriate facial soap at least twice a day. • Use only oil-free skin and hair care products. • Avoid scrubbing the skin when cleansing. • Women should use makeup that is oil-free or labeled "non-comedogenic. • Always cleanse skin after sweating. • Wear daily sun protection, since some acne medications may increase the skin's sensitivity to sunlight. You should consult doctor for face wash by sharing about your skin type.

Hi, I am from mumbai. I have a query regarding calcium deficiency that generally happens after the age of 30 in people. Now, I trust himalya brand and would like to go for a product from himalya. However, I am confused because of the word fracture in both the products of himalya. Details of the two products are: 1) hadjod --> accelerates fracture healing & increases bone strength. Active constituents: hadjod contains triterpenoids?-sitosterol, quadrangularins a, b and c, and calcium, which influence quick regeneration of connective tissues around the broken bones. 2) reosto --> phytoestrogens in reosto inhibit bone resorption. Indian bdellium (guggulu) helps in the remineralization of bones, increases bone mineral density (bmd) and supports connective tissues. Its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties are beneficial in alleviating bone pain. Now, my query is that under normal circumstances which product should I go for? should I look to increase the bone strength or should I look for increasing bone mineral density? or whether these products are in case of healing after fractures and not for regular consumption. Your help would be very much appreciated.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually to be very honest you do not require any of the above mentioned products. You can just take vitamin d and normal calcium for a period of 3 months. Also regularly do exercises and eat diet which are rich in calcium like milk and milk products. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards
