Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

several lifestyle changes may be required. Most back pain gets better with a few weeks of home treatment and careful attention. Over-the-counter pain relievers as prescribed by me may be all that you need to improve your pain. A short period of bed rest is ok, but more than a couple of days actually does more harm than good. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Pl consult after 5 days for further treatment.

Standing or sitting tall not only improves your breathing and prevents pain - you'll look and feel better. Keep computer monitors at eye level and the keyboard and mouse at elbow level. Take breaks to stretch and relax.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). (Excessive sitting or standing is to be avoided as well don’t carry much weight on shoulders). Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. Management: -Stretching or activities that place additional strain on the back are discouraged. -Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. -Lying on your back with a pillow under your knees would also relieves pain and no pillow under your head. -Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Take care, do not use a heating pad on ‘high’ or place ice directly on the skin. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

Hi I have a severe back pain .I can't say it's entirely a back pain because the pain changes its place .sometimes in upper back .sometimes lower .sometimes at sides .I can't say when it is where. And also it's prevailing from 1 yr. My height is 5.9 and I've been in weights of 105 .85. And now 93 .in all my weights pain is same .this pain occurs when I get up after a few hours of work by sitting or after sleep only .and again it becomes normal .plz help .I went to a lot of doctors. In X ray also it's normal .they had told some physiotherapy exercises .I am doing it regularly but there is no decrease in pain. I am suffering a lot. please help me.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

She may take rhus tox 30 thrice a day three drops in water for one day only and do massage with sesame oil one inch above the knee and one inch below the knee and under the hollow portion of the knee daily 15 times on each point for five days and call back.

Hello, We can't reverse the established pathology back, but we can control the process in the stage it is so that it wouldn't grow further. Medication: Take Schwabe's Biocombination-19/ thrice daily and apply Topi-MP gel over the knees. Apart from this, light walk daily and physiotherapy will also relieve your pain.

Hi As far as sounds from the joints of the body is concerned, it is usually due to rubbing of uneven joint surfaces on one another, so it is not a cause of concern if there is no associated pain, swelling or any other joint symptoms. As far as pain in his calf muscles is concerned, he has to to do regular physical therapy, adequate calcium and vitamin d intake and can take a short course of an anti inflammatory medication.

Hello Sabari, Leg pain that is nerve related can be very effectively brought under control with physiotherapy. Bone pains need several medicines and proper exercises to be brought under control. If you can be a bit more elaborate about where does it pain, I will be able to diagnose the reason behind the pain and suggest the mode of treatment accordingly.
