I am 31 years old from Bangalore and suffering from pain and burning sensation after urination. There are no other symptoms or problems. It all started mildly on 25th Jun. Pain or burning sensation was sporadic and mostly I suffered at the early mornings. Then it used to be normal most of the times the whole day. I did all known home remedies like drinking more water, barley water, lot of butter milk etc… But the occasional pain or burning sensation was prolonging. So I consulted a general physician on 27th Jun and based on my explanation, he assumed it as UTI and prescribed me – Citralka syrup, Delbi-O tablet, Nicip-Plus tablet. I started consuming these for 2 days, but all of the sudden it got worsen and started to pain and burn almost continuously. It used to be severe, right after urinating and used to slightly reduce then. To mention, just before the pain got worsen, I travelled from Bangalore to Chennai in train. It was a horrible experience where I urinated more than 10 times that night and hardly slept for some 20 minutes. Then in Chennai, I consulted another doctor on 29th Jun (he is a general physician cum diabetologist). He diagnosed my urine sample (for Sugar, Albumin and Deposits) and the results are – Sugar and Albumin – Not detected Microscopic – Few Epithelial Cells are found. He informed me that the antibiotic prescribed by the previous doctor was not working and then prescribed me – Baloforce 100 mg, Urispas, Citralka, Amikacin 2 ml injection. With consumption of these for 3 days, the pain and burning sensation have gradually reduced. But still I have occasional pain/burning sensation, particularly during early mornings. In short, it all went back to my initial stage. Please note that the doctor asked me to continue the medicines for next 10 days. Lastly I reported to him on 1st Jul and still consuming the medicines. I am back to Bangalore now (4th Jul) and still I feel a bit uncomfortable but the pain and burning sensation are bearable. Please advise me should I consult an urologist at this point or shall continue the medicines and observe for improvement? Should I complete the full course? He asked me to take till 11th Jul – Is it needed? It is more than a week of time. Whether Urinary Tract Infection used to prolong so long? Please help me.

Hi lybrate-user thanks for writing in. Growth of mustache and beard hair is under genetic and hormonal control. Facial hair growth is mainly dependent on testosterone levels. Testosterone or the MALE hormone causes beard growth. If your father and grandfather had a slow or scanty facial hair growth it is likely that you will have the same rate and pattern of growth.

Follow these best tips to lightens and remove the dark spots- 1. Take fuller, s earth (multani mitti) and sandalwood powder (chandan powder) mixed in same quantity mixed in water and apply on the mark in night and wash it after 1 hour. It will slowly removes the spots. 2. Take a piece of aloe vera. Apply gel of leaves on mark daily. Wash it after 30 minutes. 3. Crush one tomato and apply the paste on mark. It will remove the spots definitly. 4. Soak cotton gauze in rose water and clean the dark spots 2-3 times daily. 5. You have to follow some basic things so that you get better results in a short period of time. …. 1) take solid diet two times in a day and liquid diet two times in a day …2) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals …. 3) don’t drink water before meal for one hour and one hour after meal…4) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods…. 5) avoid late night sleeping habits …A) take 30ml of triphala juice and 10 ml of honey early in the morning on empty stomach and at night before sleep. B) take 10 gm of black cumin seeds along with 10 gm of jaggery after meals. C) take 2-2 tablets of arogyavardhini vati and chandraprabha vati after meals, D) take 30 ml of aloevera juice along with 30ml of lukewarm water. Do all things for 30 days. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy eggs nuts fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements. They will not work in isolation. You have to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal.

These are the methods to treat pimples - •Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes. • Do YOGASANA daily. Especially do SINHASANA & SARVANGASANA daily. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your face again & again because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. • Mix black pepper powder in some water to make paste & apply on the pimples three times a week. • Take cucumber and papaya pulp. The principal symptoms of dengue are: -high fever and at least two of the following: -severe headache -severe eye pain (behind eyes) -joint pain -muscle and/or bone pain -rash -mild bleeding manifestation (nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: -severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting -red spots or patches on the skin -bleeding from nose or gums -vomiting blood -black, tarry stools  -drowsiness or irritability -pale, cold, or clammy skin -difficulty breathing There is no specific medication for treatment of a dengue infection. -Use analgesics with acetaminophen (crocin or dolo -650 mg) and avoid those containing ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin or aspirin containing drugs. -Take rest, drink plenty of fluids like coconut water, lime water etc.to prevent dehydration. -Avoid visiting heavily populated residential areas, if possible. -Use mosquito repellents/mosquito nets when indoors.  -When outdoors, wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants tucked into socks.

This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear mcr chappels which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain.

Take pranacharya medohar rasayn twice a day. Medohar guggul 2-2 twice a day. And pranacharya slim capsule 1-1 twice a day. .avoid junk food. Oily food. Fermented food. Alcohol consumption. Steps to prevent and cure hair greying 1. Constant exposure of hair to heat is one of the major reason for early greying of hair. Heat removes moisture from hair making it dry and rough. If not taken proper care our hair starts becoming weak and white. Some of the precautions that can be taken are as follows- a. Try to remain in shade during peak sun hours. b. Wear a hat, cap or a cover your hair with a scalf to prevent direct contact of hair with sun c. Avoid taking hot water baths. This removes the moisture from hair making hair grey. d. Avoid using blowers at very high temperature, instead lower the temperature and then use to keep hair healthy. 2. Diet is also an important factor for keeping hair black and strong. Lack of vitamins and minerals can lead to greying and weak hair. Lack of vitamin B12 makes hair white while deficiency of mineral zinc leads to hairfall. Hence eat a balance diet with adequate vitamins and minerals to provide complete nourishment to hair. Take a vitamin B12 capsule or a multi vitamin capsule to get rid of grey hair. Eat fruits, vegetables, proteins, and adequate water to keep hair strong and moisturized. Include vitamin A, B, C, E and minerals like zinc, copper, iron and folic acid for maintaining the dark colour of your hair. 3. Chemical hair products can also lead to grey hair in a young age. It damages our skin and hair taking away the moisture and making it look dull. Stress can also make your hair grey. So avoid stress and try to remain happy always. Hello Navjot , For pain in legs you can use hot water with 10gms magnesium sulphate in it . He needs to keep his legs in this for at least 30 mins. Regarding cough you haven't mentioned whether it is wet or dry cough. Do verify for proper guidance. Regards, Dr. Heena
