Hello, We need make few changes in our life to stay fit and healthy (if there is no medical condition): - Just walking alone is a very beneficial exercise which can help you stay in shape, feel more energetic, and get healthy. Always take stairs rather than taking an elevator. -Standing while you work can help your body get more activity than if you were just sitting down. Spend at least some of your work day standing instead of sitting in order to help your blood flow and maintain your muscles. -Do more chores. Lots of household chores actually involve a lot of exercise and being better about doing chores can be a great way for you to fit activity and exercise into your day. -Aim to exercise for a total of 30 minutes per day and you’ll easily be able to maintain your fitness level. -Some exercises will be more efficient than others, and choosing these more efficient exercises means that the small amount of time that you do spend exercising will really count. Try to choose exercises that focus on your core muscles, since your legs and arms can get activity through daily activities like lifting bags of groceries and walking a longer distance from your car. Try squats, planks, burpees. -Get indulge into some activity at home like riding a bicycle, swimming, playing active games with your kids. -Eating right. Cut out unhealthy fats and take in healthy fats. The easiest way to identify unhealthy fats is to look for “solid” fats, or fats that are solid at room temperature. Get plenty of protein. Protein will help you maintain your muscles and also give you the energetic feeling that you may be missing now that you’re getting less exercise. Good protein sources include skinless chicken, salmon, sardines, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and peas. Eat properly portioned, balanced meals. Generally, about ⅓ of your plate should be fruits and vegetables and ⅓ of your plate should be grains. The final third should be a mix of protein and low-fat dairy (cottage cheese, eggs, non-fat milk, etc). -Drinking enough water also has the added bonus of keeping your hunger level down, helping you to maintain the lower calorie count that you’ll be getting now that you’re not exercising as much.

Hello, back and leg pain may be due to many reasons like sitting position, heavy workout, improper rest, any injury, calcium deficiency etc. You can apply ayurvedic oil like mahanarayan oil gently on back and legs followed by hot fomentation twice a day. C that your bowel is cleared everyday. Start doing yoga and pranayam under guidance.

Hi, heaviness and burning sensation in the stomach are due to acidity. When acidity is severe, nausea also occurs and you will not be able to eat in normal quantity. Take cap. Stomotone 1-1-1 after food for 2-3 weeks and himcocid syrup 2tsf 3 times daily before food to control burning sensation in the stomach and chest take. Madiphala rasayana 2tsf 3 times a day to stop vomitting. Avoid hot and spicy food. Eat small quantities frequently. Drink plenty of water. Never miss your breakfast. Avoid excess intake of coffee and tea.

Get your teeth cleaned professionally by scaling and polishing. maintain oral hygiene by brushing twice a day and use mouthwash regularly.

Respected Madam, Depression is a major psychiatric diagnosis of which a depressed mood is only one symptom. Other symptoms include decreased energy, loss of interest in activities, decreased concentration, changes in sleep/appetite/activity levels/weight along with depressive and even suicidal ideas. If you still believe that you are suffering from depression and if you have many of the symptoms mentioned above, the best course of action would be to consult with a local psychiatrist who could evaluate you in detail and confirm your diagnosis. He/she should also be able to treat your current depressive symptoms with medicines or therapy depending on the severity. Thank You Madam and Take Care.

I am 38 years old and suffering from diabetes. I am taking half of gluconorm g-1 forte tablet in morning and gluconorm sr-500 + zevit (one tablet each) in evening from last two year. My hemoglobin a1c is 10.2. So do I need to take full tablet (gluconorm g-1 forte) or change the medicine. Actually my doctor suggested to take full tablet one year back but after taking full tablet my glucose level goes very low. Please suggest.

Your hba1c is more than normal. Apart from gluconorm there are other medication also such as galvus and voglibose which generally maintains good glycemic control. You should get your hba1c one another time and consult your doctor for hypoglycemia after your tablets.

Hi lybrate-user, to gain weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and cornbread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

DEAR Lybrate USER. A) apply paste of milk and fine powder of turmeric+ajova on face, two times in a day. B) take 30 ml of RUBYCLEAN liquid after meals…. C) take 2-2 tablets of madhumalini vasant rasa and chitrakadi vati after meals. D) take 1 tablet of KAPILA-ARAGWADHA VATI before dinner…. Do all these things for 15 days. It gives you good result. Dark circles are because of lack of nutrients. Sleep and weakness. So take proper nutrients and drink plenty of juices and sleep for atleast 7 hours a day. Drink 7-8 glasses of water every day.

So simply, add these foods to your diet and you will have a healthy glowing complexion. Avocado: Packed with antioxidants like lutein and beta carotene, avocados help soften the skin as well as hydrate it if applied topically Oranges: Pumpkin: Pumpkins have it all - antioxidants, vitamins (A and C) and minerals. Pumpkins are rich in zinc which is vital in the creation of new skin cells, and also helps regulate oil production, improve skin tone and reduce the appearance of open pores. HI…. 1) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods…. 2) sleep upto 10-10.30 pm…. 3) avoid coffee and tea…. A) take 2 tsf of vanari kalp with 250 ml of lukewarm MILK, in the morning instead of break fast… B) take 200 ml of fresh buttermilk with pinch of black salt after meals… C) take 2 tablets of VASANTKUSUMAKAR RASA along with 1 tsf of honey and 30 ml of aamla juice early morning on empty stomach… D) eat 30-40 black currants and 1 tsf of jaggery during meals… Do all these things for 30 days…it gives you good result…. Consult to me for further suggestions…THANKS.
