Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Hi lybrate-user! Did you have a c -section? Because low back pain after c section is quite common and takes time to become better. But if you had a normal delivery then check with your gynaecologist if you have pelvic infection and take treatment for it. Also you might need to get your vitamin D and calcium checked up.

Go for ayurveda's panchkarma therapy - we have many option for you - kati basti (specialised panchakar, a procedure for backpains), localised massgae with herbal oils, localised medicated steam, pottali massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax your back muscles and give strength to your nerves and muscles of back. Also start some yogic exercises - tadasana, dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. Shoulder pain You shoulder will become stiff and the movements would be diminished. For the right hand pain it might be due to carpal tunnel syndrome, where the pain will be felt in the wrist. You can do hot water fermentation/ wax therapy for shoulder and for the wrist pain (hand pain) you can do ice therapy which will reduce the pain.

While it may be obvious that no form of pain is welcome, it can be said that pain which is felt on account of being affected by sciatica is especially unwelcome. Taking that into due account, the good news is that physiotherapy can go a long way in helping by improving this sort of pain.

The longest nerve in the whole human body is the sciatic nerve, so it can be expected that when there is trouble with this nerve, the pain would be pretty significant. The leg pain which is caused to a person when this nerve happens to be getting pinched is known as sciatica.

There is a range of treatments when it comes to how something as painful as sciatica is to be solved. Now, while it is true that a solution such as making sure there is an amount of bed rest which is sufficient is very important, to say the very least, it is often the case that the person with sciatica would like his or her recovery to be hastened.

In order to make sure that this is the case, physiotherapy is quite useful. There are various forms of physiotherapy which can be made use of, and the decision as to which sort of physiotherapy a person would be best suited to would obviously be part of the subjective assessment of the person by a practitioner who is well qualified and experienced.


Some of the solutions when it comes to physiotherapy being used in order to treat sciatica are quite innovative, to say the very least. For example, there is physiotherapy instrument mobilisation, which is also known as PIM. Chronic backache at your age is mostly musculo skeletal. Pain relief ointments may not be able to give permanent solution because they do not address the primary cause of pain. Back pain maybe due to a variety of causes (pain generators) in the spine like a prolapse intervertebral disc, a compressed nerve root, an intevertebral joint (back joint) hypertrophy and so on. It may be due to muscle spasm or a bone disorder. A systemic disease like arthritis may also lead to back pain. A pain physician shall be able to help you to arrive at an accurate diagnosis by asking relevant questions/investigations and manage your pain in a better manner.

Naturally I am light brown skin. But due to lack of awareness in past years my hands legs I foots. Have grown more darker. As I drive daily in two Wheeler for about 30 kms. Though I use cloths. My face has also gone dark. Except parlour s what other treatment s can b used for bringing the real colour of skin. Pls help.

First of all pl stop all parlour treatments. Start taking light food and clean gut by herbals for three days, then once a week. Eat salt restricted diet. Start smearing raw cold milk on face with cotton balls and massage in circular motions. Let dry and wash with cold water. Do twice. If you get time pl wash with pure rose water in between once. After one or two weeks, get next tip which will be according to response you get. It's slow but effective and safe and economic. Definitely working.

I am 34 year old. 2 years back I played almost 4 month badminton then after I feel pain on my both the knees. Some times its goes tough sit. I always feel little heavy on my knees. I am also a diabetic since last 2 years. Pls suggest permanent remedy.

Knee pain in young age group is actually grouped loosely into chondromalacia if there is no injury or any other inflammatory/infective pathology for it. There are multiple causes for this type of pain, which could be muscular imbalance around knee region, malalignment of knee etc. Can you kindly tell me medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. I would like to know whether you have got your inflammatory profile done till now and whether calcium and vitamin d testing/supplementation has been done. Also please let me know what all exercises you are doing on a daily basis. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Sir mera sal bhar pahle accident me dono hath fracture ho gaya tha left hand me pin laga hai lekin rght hand me wrist &elbow me & right side ke lower back thigh ke joint me niche knee ke uper me 3 month se dard hai. Computr me late hours kam karna padta hai. Pain killer se thik rahata hai .upay yoga medicine batane ki kripa kare thanks.

Take tablet Caldikind plus once a day and tablet vitaminD (60000iu) once a week for six months and For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and do Physiotherapy treatment till recovery.
